Daily choices and decisions over time determine whether we attain the happiness and success for which we all desperately yearn, or whether we encounter the bumps and bruises in life. Bumps and Bruises is a book of principles formulated over twenty-eight years of observation, experience, and counsel with thousands of individuals coping with disappointments, failed expectations, strained relationships, and broken dreams. From the vantage point of a physician, Dr. Hoer approaches the challenges we face in life much like treating a sickness. We first have to make the correct diagnosis, to understand the origin of our discomfort. We then make the best treatment plan, a plan of action to get better, and learn habits and practices to prevent the ill health that plagues us all. Bumps and Bruises is a refreshing new look at life based on multiple sources of wisdom and inspiration to guide us through these unprecedented, troubled times in which we live.
Life after death? Where is the Rainbow Bridge?Sugar, a mixed breed Chihuahua/cairn terrier, answers these questions in The Dog That Lives on the Moon. This book is a story of not only her life here on earth but also her spiritual life on the moon. Her earthly life consists of living with two humans and the adventures they shared and also the dogs that were part of her life and her nemesis, Ash Lee and Gypsy, two cats who lived with her at the Del Mar Apartments. She lived in Tucson, Arizona, but traveled to places like Tombstone and Bisbee, Arizona, San Diego, San Francisco, and Mount Saint Helens. After her death, her adventures continue, but with a little more spice. She goes to live on the moon where she meets Cochie; Cutie, an abused dog; Thunder, a fighting dog; Kingston, a Hurricane Katrina casualty; and Skeeter, the oldest dog living on the moon, each with their own stories. One adventure that Skeeter tells her is the landing on the moon by men and what happened. She even meets two important human spirits, Francis and Buddy, who share philosophy with her.A great read for dog and animal lovers, it grips the heart of the reader, and they will never look at their pets the same way.
Hello, readers. My name is Marie Holliday, and I became spiritually "awake" in 2012 after living in five years of financial destruction. As a result, I want to share my experience. The overall concept of the book is for the reader to gain insight into how I rose from financial destruction to gaining financial freedom in all areas of my life, such as restoring my credit score to 800, investing aggressively into my multiple 401(k) retirement accounts, diversifying my portfolio, increasing the value of my home without going into debt, mastering the skills of saving and keeping money in my emergence savings account, and staying away from credit cards. I have no doubt the reader will gain valuable information from this inspiring, thought-provoking, and motivational book.
Despite remarkable insight regarding our understanding of metabolism and physiology, astounding advances in fitness technology and the availability of countless so-called revolutionary diets and fitness programs, each promising immediate and sustained success, relatively few individuals seem to achieve and maintain their intended goals. In fact, data continues to suggest the prevalence of obesity, the world''s "other pandemic," and recently overshadowed but quietly accelerated by the COVID-19 crisis, continues to rise. The future combined impact on the overall health and prosperity of society as we enter the dawn of the "new normal" raises many valid questions and concerns. The stakes may have never been higher to start finding some answers. As opposed to targeting a small subset of young, highly motivated, advanced fitness enthusiasts, as many current popular programs seem to do, It''s All in Your Head was written with the rest of us in mind. Rather than another "how to" manual, it is a "why to" inspirational guide and navigational tool in what has become the complex space of fitness and nutrition. Join me on a retrospective, psychological journey back to the origins of the unhealthy behavior patterns defining who we have become and explaining why we struggle to achieve our health and fitness goals. Incorporating a basic understanding of the fundamental principles universal to every successful diet and fitness program in existence, and learning how to develop adequate self-motivation skills, doors to previously unrecognized potential and the ability to reach and sustain success are unlocked as fitness dreams become reality.
My book, The Snow Angel, is a cute little story about a small family. A story about a young girl who got left at an orphanage, who had a really hard time trying to open up to others, to make friends with the other children. She has hoped for the right one to call her own, but after so long and so many falls, it was after so many months later that she fought the bitter cold. As you will see more into my story, she spent several days outside in the freezing temp and days outside on her own as she went searching for the right family.

I am told that my book is very interesting and inspirational. I wrote it for people in general. I hope you enjoy it!
We have often heard that "God hates the sin but loves the sinner." But is this an accurate statement? Does the scripture really bear that out? While there may be a small amount of truth to that statement, is this how God views those who oppose Him? If we take a deeper look into the truth of God's word, we may be surprised to find out that God's love is just as pure as His wrath. The purpose of this book is not to provide the reader with a spiritual lightning strike every other sentence but to provide the reader with a warning concerning how we approach God. We must come to Him in humility and on His terms. We must have a reverential fear of the Lord because not only is He a God of grace and mercy, but He is also the righteous Judge who will render to every man what is due. This book is intended to warn those who choose to disobey God and go their own way. But also, it is intended to give hope to the reader who may be struggling with their faith. God is a merciful God who forgives those who are of a contrite heart. He never turns anyone away who desires forgiveness and is willing to repent their sinful lifestyle to follow Christ. Those who call on His name will find peace and cleansing. Those who do not call on Christ will become an enemy to God.
Imagine America with only one political party! Death of the Elephant paints such a portrait of where we are headed if we stay on our present course. Will there ever be another Republican president? Can the Republican Party survive? Will the Democrats and their allies in the press complete their power grab? These are some of the questions dealt with in this book. The prospect of having only one political party should frighten all Americans especially conservatives. Death of the Elephant reads like you're talking to a friend at a bar--brief, frank, and to the point. It gives a road map for where we are going as a country, and what you, individually, can do about it. The book's solution is bold, compelling, and game-changing. Its focus remains constantly on the target--freedom!
"e;The hot dry seasons of the past few years have caused rapid disintegration of glaciers in Glacier National Park, Montana...Sperry Glacier...has lost one-quarter or perhaps one-third of its ice in the past 18 years... If this rapid rate should continue...the glacier would almost disappear in another 25 years..."e; "e;Born about 4,000 years ago, the glaciers that are the chief attraction in Glacier National Park are shrinking so rapidly that a person who visited them ten or fifteen years ago would hardly recognize them today as the same ice masses."e; Do these reports sound familiar? Typical of frequent warnings of the dire consequences to be expected from global warming, such reports often claim modern civilization's use of fossil fuels as being the dominant cause of recent climate warming. You might be surprised to learn the reports above were made nearly thirty years apart! The first in 1923 prior to the record heat of the Dust Bowl years during the 1930s. The second in 1952 during the second decade of a four-decade cooling trend that had some scientists concerned that a new ice age might be on the horizon! Did the remnants of Sperry Glacier disappear during global warming of the late 20th century? According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), today Sperry Glacier "e;ranks as a moderately sized glacier"e; in Glacier National Park. What caused the warmer global climate prior to "e;4,000 years ago"e; before Glacier National Park's glaciers first appeared? Are you aware that during 2019 the National Park Service quietly began removing its "e;Gone by 2020"e; signs from Glacier National Park as its most famous glaciers continued their renewed growth that began in 2010? Was late 20th-century global warming caused by fossil fuel emissions? Was it really more pronounced than early 20th-century warming? Or was late 20th-century warming perfectly natural, in part a response to the concurrent peak strength of one of the strongest solar grand maxima in contemporary history? These and other questions are addressed by "e;Looking Out the Window."e; Be a juror in the trial of carbon dioxide in the court of public opinion and let the evidence inform your verdict.
Love That Is Good for Every Day: Daily Devotionals for Married CouplesThe true meaning of life is in loving God and neighbor, no matter who you are or what you do. The important thing is to love because love is the perfect ingredient that gives the most important seasoning of any meaningful relationship and is fundamental to a true life in Jesus Christ because your quality of life is directly related to the amount of love that flows in you and through you to others. Although often overlooked, love is worth much more than riches and fame or honor or lust; these things will pass, but love remains. You can feel satisfied without the other things but not without love. The absence of love will leave a crushing void. When your spirituality is not present, your works become selfish and insincere. If love is not the motivation, it will be unbridled without love and unsatisfactory and will be meaningless.

Have you ever wondered what dying feels like? This is a tragic love story. It is a true story. However, more importantly, it is a story about love, commitment, and faith in God. Tim and Savannah Heller were a happy couple in the prime of their lives. The couple had raised children together, worked hard together, and had started enjoying a golden era in both their lives. Then Savannah started getting sick, and eventually she was informed that she had a terminal illness, and she only had one to two years to live. Imagine the shock. Imagine how one would take that news. Fortunately, Savannah started journaling daily throughout the disease progression. The couple decided to write a book about their experience in an effort to help those others and families going through a terminal disease. As you read her journal entries, you will gain insight of her physical decline and her emotional and mental battles she faced. The story takes you through the trials and tribulations of a couple and family dealing with a terminal illness, but more importantly, it is story of love and hope and beauty-everything Savannah was. One of the couple's strongest beliefs was the idea that the greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return. If people can understand this message from this story, then Tim would feel that he has honored Savannah.
