As you read these pages, you will walk with us in the life we lived over a fifty year period. Only those times when we knew that the Holy Spirit had dealt with us, spoken to us, or sent an angel are included. We knew that He had always been with us since the word says: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matt. 28:20). These were the times when God seemingly intervened in our life in a manner that made us to know that His presence and power were with us through every struggle of life. We lived a life of prayer, fasting, reading the Scriptures, and receiving help and deliverance from angelic ministry. Our lives may seem extraordinary to any reader who reads these experiences, yet what we lived and experienced was only what the ordinary Christian who seeks after God will experience.
Facing Life's Struggles As We Grow...Life can be so challenging yet so rewarding. As we grow we've notice things are not as what we thought it would be. Drugs have interrupted families, insecurities have kept people secluded from the world, broken homes, loss of loved ones, new children are born and depression has had some people turn suicidal. Is it love? Or is it lust? The fast pace beating of your heart when you see that person, I've learned that's only at the start. Giving your all thinking its love just to find out they're paying you no attention at all. Spiritually I try to stay focused on what really matters, knowing that he will provide me with what I need. Putting him first and letting everything else just fall into place. Stepping Through Muddy Waters is a walk through the ups and downs in life. It'll help you to have a different outlook on life itself. In writing I have also had a better prospective on things. As you step through the pages of this book you will find yourself or maybe someone that you may know and help change the negative into positive.
Do you believe in Superheroes? Dr. Samantha Nichols remembers her college boyfriend Douglas as a cynical, selfish, and materialistic person. He wants to be a crime fighter and even claims to know people with actual superpowers. Suddenly, Samantha is torn between enjoying the new Douglas and curing him of his fantasies. Surrounded by friends that encourage his behavior, Douglas tries to act the part of a hero and ends up facing off against a group of organized criminals holding the city hostage. When the consequences of vigilantism become dangerously real, Douglas is forced to face the question "What makes a true hero?"
Poetrinese is a term that I invented to describe my style of writing. It is a language of poetry that allows the use of short story or tale to form a poem with rhyming content. These poems are written without the rules and restrictions that some have placed upon such writings. It is a fun type of poetry that allows the author complete freedom of both design and content without the worry of format correctness. It is hoped that you will find encouragement from such works as "A Can" or "Alive and Happy" or one of the many found in these 14 sections of poems. My first objective is to give praise to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to thank Him for His sacrifice of love. I am happy to do so by providing nearly one-fourth of the poems in this book as of a spiritual nature. My wish is that as you read these praise poems, you will be motivated to seek a personal relationship with Him. He is an "Awesome God" and the "Creator" who still loves, protects and blesses us even today. Some of these poems are written to thank and pay tribute to the many Americans who have served and are serving this country in the Armed Forces of the United States and especially to those who sacrificed their all. I hope some of these patriotic lines will remind you to "Thank a Vet" and to give encouragement and a "Memorial Day Salute" to our veterans. You may wish to take warning about the "Destruction of America" and pray that this country will turn back to God. Let us "Celebrate America" in thankfulness. Other poems seek to encourage and inspire or to amuse you to the point that, even on a bad day, you might allow a slight smile to sneak out and bring a bit of happiness to your day. I have written about joys in nature, with "Pretty Rainbow" and "The Waterfall," with "Baseball "as a fun sport and have included some activities from the 1950 era. I've added silly poems about "Candy" and "Mommy's Pies" and about persons, places, things, the
A collection of poetry infused with the authors¿ acute powers of observation and his accumulated understanding of human nature, and the human experience. These are poems about the inner soul of man, his natural surroundings, his struggles with love and identity, sexuality, and relationship. The book includes chapters entitled, ¿Illuminating the Obvious¿, ¿Love and Other Illusions¿, ¿Faces in the Fog¿, ¿Lives and Innuendö, ¿Sexual Ideations¿, ¿Shapes and Shadows¿, and ¿Mental Indiscretions¿. The poems are a look at, and accounting of, life as it is lived with an honesty of intention, with its social proclivities and confusing ambiguity; life lived, for the most part, out from under the fear of unintended consequences. A book for those given to self-reflection, and for those finally willing to move in that direction.

Patersons ultimately succeed, after poverty and conflict. In 1876, Arthur McCarty insists his daughter, Edna, leave their mansion in the Scottish Highlands and board a ship to Rochester, New York, to further her education. Edna is headstrong and unwilling to leave her father, but she obeys his wishes and makes the journey to New York, where she eventually meets and marries John Paterson. They have a son, Erroll, but a tragedy leaves John to raise Erroll alone. He also finds himself raising a little girl, Kenzie Cox, abandoned by her mother. When the children are five years old, John takes them to Inverness, Scotland, in search of a better life. John's new boss is abusive, and their new life is one of poverty, intrigue, and physical danger. After John's death, Erroll takes over his father's job. Kenzie and Erroll fall in love and marry, and when Erroll is fired, he and Kenzie walk more than 120 miles to Glasgow Port-hunted and hungry. They are helped by friends along the way and are finally able to board a steamer back to New York after 25 years away. Another Land is the first of a two-book, four-generational saga about one family whose strength, love, and Christian faith carry them forward despite the obstacles in their path.
Patersons cope with adversity and an abusive boss. The story of Kenzie and Erroll Paterson continues in this second book of a four-generational, two-book saga. While living in Scotland, the Patersons buy a farm in Missouri from a traveling salesman. Hoping to escape a life of poverty and conflict, they return to the United States in 1912, after 25 years away. Still struggling with poverty and trying to earn a living from their farm, the Patersons learn that their former boss in Inverness, who claimed to be Erroll's uncle, is an impostor and in a mental hospital. Erroll is heir to an estate worth over five million American dollars. Their Christian faith, born during their travels in Scotland, matures in Missouri, and the Patersons are able to help those who helped them survive in Scotland. The focus turns to the Patersons' grandson McLaren and his struggles with a boyhood rival, with whether to dig for gold on the family farm, with romantic decisions, and with a murderer and liar. Later, he wrestles with whether he should help his aging father on the farm or travel the world-advising people about flowers, grass, and parks, and earning a far better living than the farm could provide. Follow this family's journey in Another Form, a sweeping saga of love and determination in the face of adversity.
