"Against The Tide" is a collection of poetry that comes from a heart that has been broken and restored. It is about this poet's journey; one of faith, love, pain, grief, sorrow and even a little humor. It is about life and how good it can be even when you are swimming against the tide. Throughout the years this author has had several poems published; as well as, had her E-book "Beyond the Past" published in 2012. Several of her individual works of poetry have been recognized. She has received the "Editor's Choice Award", by The National Library of Poetry and two awards of "Merit" by The World of Poetry.

On May 19, 2012, I stood in the 5800 wing of Loma Linda Children's Hospital and watched our seventeen year old son Loukas breath his last earthly breath. His sudden home-going from cardiac arrest and the resulting confusion of soul and mind with the purposes of God's plan has compelled me to write this book. For years I have sought to discover a Biblical theology of suffering so that I might comfort and counsel God's people under my pastoral care. On the day my son died, that Biblical theology changed from theory to reality. It is my hope and prayer as you read these pages that you will take comfort in the eternal truth that for believers in Jesus Christ, there is no senseless suffering that they will ever experience during their journey to glory. No, in fact, there are eternal purposes that God intends to accomplish through the suffering we experience and the evil we endure.

Warning: Dweebville is really weird. It was written on purpose. The Dweebs do things so opening the book can be dangerous because you let the Dweebs out. They already did things. True Story: "A woman was driving down the freeway listening to a Dweeb CD and almost wrecked her car because the Dweebs made her laugh to hard. She had to pull over." The narrator is like the main character and tells the story and gets most everything wrong so you do not know what is going to happen. He is really smart because the Dweebs teach him and don''t even know they are doing it. Like, watching a broken down TV. The narrator gets really excited. The Dweebs even have a mom that can talk. When the Dweebs do things in the book, it really gets exciting doesn''t it? Basically, Dweebville is about taking something very boring and really making it funny, interesting and weird. Dweebville is actually a dead end street with 2 houses on it. The Dweebs house and the Human house make up Dweebville. There are exactly 3 Dweebs and 3 human kids and the Dweebs mom living there. So, you can imagine the excitement when they have a great celebration and the human kids leave riding their tricycles leaving only the 3 Dweebs. Dweebville is also illustrated with unusual pictures. The Dweebs house is actually an open box with balloons in it with smoke coming out of the chimney. It also has a pair of glasses on it so you know it''s the Dweebs house. A fully orchestrated audio CD with voices and sound effects is available for Dweebville. There are other stories also: Nothingville where a man comes to town and sells nothing with the same narrator. The town gets really mad at him for selling nothing because you are supposed to sell something. Betterville, where a man comes to town and sells magic water for a dime and it really does make your life better. Why would the people get mad? About the narrator and how he thinks.
