Satan, You Didn't Steal My Joy. First I give honor to God and his son Jesus and the Holy Spirit that leads and guides me. This book is based on a true story on how I lived by letting seven demons get in control of my life because I was in love with some one that was not God. I made him my God by trying to give and prove to him all he needed was me. I wanted him to know that I would do anything for him and in that I let satan deceive me, where I didn't let God in and while I was on my journey of destruction all else followed the lies the drugs the prostitution and the guilt. With that came the shame and these seven demons played a major role call in me and not only in me, but it brought pain to the ones that loves me. It started out with the demon called un-clean and this is my testimony.
This book was written to educate us on the use of the Old Testament tabernacle as a main biblical reference to Jesus Christ. The tabernacle is not only a crucial aid that gives us a clear understanding of Jesus' redemptive work, it also provides believers with precious insights and many of His promised privileges. The tabernacle also teaches us a very crucial point about how to enter into God's presence through praise and worship.
Truth Needs No Smoke Screens... Deceptions hide the intentions of the devil but truth never bows to the devil's ruses. The fire of God's truth is more powerful in the mouth of a believing child than the smoke of the devil's counterfeits in the mouths of all the world's wise men. Smoke Screens compares some counterfeits of the devil against the powerful gifts of God's Holy Spirit. The devil uses his wiles to twist truth, create rumors, exploit weaknesses, and promote the pride of men. He imitates God's ability but all his ruses are demonic shams. The Bible says, "He that commits sin is of the devil for the devil sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was revealed, that He might destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8). Bible teacher and author Nita Berquist has almost forty-five years of ministry experience. "A Small Introduction" As you may (or may not) know, I'm the author of two books - this one being my third. "It's Just One Of Those Days" was published in 2013. It's a story about a young woman who is abducted and trapped. She lives in constant fear and anxiety, unsure if she'll ever make it out alive. It's basically what was meant to be a short story and exploded into something much larger. "Poetry and Short Stories by a Bipolar Girl" was published in 2012. The title speaks for itself and as you may have guessed from it, I have bipolar disorder (among other things). I took a bunch of poems and short stories I'd written while either manic or depressed and put them together to make a book. My goal was to show a little bit about what mental illness does to people, while also making a fun-to-read book of course. Whether I succeeded or not is up to my readers. But I decided that showing mental illness to the world and how it truly affects us is something I still want to do. Which brings us to this book. I decided to change things up a bit (okay more than a bit) and turn all of my journal entries into a book. Yes, my personal journal entries written over the past few years. I figured if I really do want to help people understand mental illness, why not take them directly into the mind of someone who suffers from it? It varies from entry to entry. At the beginning I'm very clearly manic, but for pretty much the rest of it I'm extremely depressed. There are relationship problems, crappy days, hallucinating, depression, paranoia, self harm, anxiety... You name it, it's probably here. I left nothing out of the entries- the only thing I did was change everyone's name (for their sake, yes, but mostly because I was too lazy to ask permission to use their real names). Having bipolar disorder gives you both a great and a terrible outlook on life. As I said, there is a lot of depression in this book - that's "The Darkness." Then there are times when I'm either manic or just feelin
Hi, I'm Terry. I'm a regular guy and I'm passionate about men's issues and gender topics. I was a feminist for 15 years--in my research and travels as a male feminist, I stumbled onto an immense yet hidden world of male suffering and negative male narratives. It made me realize that we live in not just a sexist society, but a situationally based bi-sexist society. That is, depending on the situation, one gender or the other may find itself advantaged or disadvantaged. The male side of this bi-sexist experience has, in my opinion, been largely ignored and/or overlooked. Consequently, men's challenges, as well as the true nature of masculinity, are both misunderstood and dramatically misrepresented. Further, decades of a women¿s movement without a complementary shift for men has created a social gender ecosystem that is out of balance. This book uses the symbiotic interplay between the art of poetry and the thought-provoking side of prose as a powerful catalyst to both explore that imbalance and to promote a deeper exploration of current-day gender dynamics. (And, maybe more significantly, to support, promote, amplify, and give permission for the invisible male voice in our culture to be heard--an intention which runs counter to male gender training!) This book is a multilayered work and begins with a timeless story--an archetypal boy-to-man tale that came to me in a dream. I use this story as metaphorical springboard to discuss different aspects of male developmental psychology, and as a device to weave/explain the nature of men's challenges throughout the book. I also discuss how we create and experience reality through narratives and stories, and how feminism has profoundly affected the narrative development regarding social gender identity/perception in men and women. Many topics because of their impact on men's lives, and the fabric of this book, are frequently reiterated--topics such as rituals, mentors, fatherhood/father absence, relationships, work, divorce, violence/hazing, growing up male; as well as the effects of media, technology, and feminism. I also get personal--that is, I use myself as an autobiographical reference throughout the book to better illuminate the path and purpose of this work. I do so because how author's get to their views and opinions can be as significant and informative as the material itself, and simultaneously co-create a substantial amount of narrative depth. While this book may ultimately appeal to and benefit a wide audience, it is especially suited for those who are interested in poetry, social sciences, gender studies, relationship dynamics, holistic theory, spirituality, and male psychology. Women may be able to better understand and communicate with the men in their lives. Men will receive a fully stocked tool box of ideas and suggestions with regard to self-understanding, relationship perspectives, boundary setting, and self-help regimes. Counselors, therapists, teachers, and social workers might also find a rich and expansive gender blueprint of thoughts to empower, explore, and better serve their clients and students. For our culture, this book may illuminate a potential path toward gender equality and gender balance... for all. I end the book with some suggestions for entertainment and research--a menu of songs and cinema which I believe are symbolic but effective glimpses into the mysteries of understanding men.
The Heaven Chronicles: The Book of Michael Monroe by Michael Bradam is a ground breaking novel in the genre of Christian fiction. The story addresses several difficult subjects by viewing them through the eyes of heaven. Michael Monroe's world is falling apart. His wife died two years ago from cancer, his son is not doing well in school, and he has just lost an important business deal. Angry and depressed, Michael seeks the advice of his close friend and pastor. Michael leaves the meeting with a positive outlook on his life and his future. However, as Michael pulls from his parking space, he is tragically killed in a car accident. Michael awakens in heaven where his guardian angel reveals how God still has a plan for him. Michael must pursue the demon of anger that had plagued him in his earthly life before the demon influences the life of his son. After meeting his heavenly Lord, Michael is strengthened on his journey to pursue the being that harassed him during his earthly existence. Confrontations increase as Michael must face his demon at the ultimate battle of all time, the Battle of Armageddon. Michael Bradam weaves an extremely imaginative story of thought and adventure as he explores deep, philosophical topics with a balance of poignant humor and emotion. Earthly characters interact with angels in their new heavenly home as they reflect on the meaning of life and why tragic events happen on earth. Preconceived concepts of heaven and spiritual warfare are challenged as angelic beings and humans display incredible powers, battling demonic entities for the souls of those still on earth. The Heaven Chronicles: The Book of Michael Monroe is an adventure story that does not end here. Neither does ours.
The Unusual Class Of '55 is a story about high school life in the mid-fifties with a very unusual twist. A catastrophic condition the class found itself in, caused them to unite in a sociological phenomenon experiment that may never be repeated: the class took control of its own education. The work is also a documentation of high school life in the fifties that can be compared with high school life today. In just six decades bad behavior changed from chewing gum to carrying a gun. This is an unusual book with an unusual story written by an unusual author sprinkled with some very unusual brain sneezes.
Plate Tectonics/Continental Drift Hypotheses Debunked... Everything happens for a reason, and physical things that happen must obey the laws of physics. Author Gary Swagart has adhered to those laws in the development of his hypotheses about Earth's formation and processes-hypotheses that are intended to replace the Plate Tectonics/Continental Drift Hypotheses, which are not physically possible and so are invalid. Using logic and engineering problem-solving techniques, Swagart's Hypotheses eloquently explain: Why the continents are configured as they are. Why there are terrestrial features on continental shelves. Why many fossils of land animals are found in sea-deposited rocks. Why fossils of tropical plants and animals are found in cold climates. Why some petroleum deposits occur where they do. Why the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean are located where they are. Why the Earth's basic processes function as they do. How these basic processes developed Earth into its present configuration. How huge chunks of rock such as the Matterhorn and much of the Alps came to be resting upon younger strata. How the entire Appalachian Mountain Range came to be resting upon younger strata without leaving tracks. Why many metals are found where they are. How the moon fits into the picture. Why continental drift did not occur. And more... Earth's Formation: Swagart's Hypotheses provides plausible, physically possible explanations for why many of the Earth's rock formations, features, and processes exist as they do today. It's a fascinating journey!
THE ECLIPSE OF THE INCA EMPIRE... No lover of history or visitor to Cuzco will walk the ancient streets of that city or stand before the great fortress of Saqusayhuaman and see things the same way after reading how Pedro Pizarro and his native friend Quispe saw this pivotal time. This is the story of two young friends; Pedro Pizarro who follows his cousin General Francisco Pizarro on an incredible journey and Quispe who has been enticed along to act as interpreter. On the 15th of November 1533, after a heavily contested 800 mile march from Cajamarca to Cuzco, Francisco Pizarro leads 135 desperate, limping, Spanish soldiers and the newly crowned Manco Inca into the civil-war ravaged capital of an enormous Empire. The strange, hairy-faced white men are welcomed as liberators - at first. Working together, Pedro and Quispe have become a bridge between worlds, but the trials of the suddenly-elevated, very young, Manco Inca, the political infighting among the Spaniards who have come mostly for plunder, the terrors of being a soldier in such a small, beleaguered army, and their pivotal roles as interpreters, place Pedro at desperate odds with his native friend Quispe. As two streams that have diverged in the mountains, Pedro and Quispe re-connect in a turbulent ocean that crashes down upon two powerful civilizations, threatening to destroy them both. Pedro and Quispe find their personal strengths, then brief moments of peace where their lives have infinite potential, but only unimaginably dire promise, without them both continuing to work together. This incredible and fascinating 30 months of world-shaking history is detailed on a most compelling, personal scale. It is the story of two great friends and their two views of the historic events that swirled around them. Scott Bernard has a B.A. in Economics from Brown University. He is the author of the highly acclaimed novel "Cajamarca, Sons of the Sun". When not traveling, he lives in Central Massachusetts.

When Garigard Kirton's great-grandfather, the Healer Alden McGarkin, is reported missing from his home village, Garig goes on a quest to rescue him. On an adventure with Dragonus, the family's dragon of many generations, Garig meets highwaymen, does sword fighting, and tangles with mercenaries on his way. When he gets there to rescue Healer McGarkin, he learns that the powerful mage could have left anytime he wanted to. They also rescue Princess Isalora of the Mainland, another ransom victim. Garig learns that magic is passed down the generations in the bloodline. Anyone who has magic is known as a witch or a wizard. Only the most powerful are known as mages. A mage's power, intensified with crystals, can be used to control their subjects and possessions, and for fighting with other mages-good or evil. Garig is asked to take over a dragon, who turns out to be Dragonus' brother. And Garig wins another dragon from a witch, Lady Lillith, who is working for his long time family enemy, Lord Odius Von De Stoop. This rises Garig's position to Lord, being the winner of a fight of magic. Progressing with his magic under the teaching of Healer McGarkin, Garig learns of his destiny that is actually already laid out before him. Healer McGarkin is not only a powerful mage, but also the Head Mage of the Guardian of the Dragons family, as well as Head Mage of the Council of Mages. Garig is to inherit these positions and responsibilities. He left home as a young teen, but comes back as a young mage, now Lord Garigard Kirton. And he will continue the feud that has gone on for generations-or try to stop it.
