Frank McGarrity, a young lawyer in Princeton, takes the case of William, who won't give his last name but carries plenty of cash. William confides he murdered a man but assures him he won't kill again. He doesn't admit that he longs to be the most famous serial killer ever and plans to execute thirteen privileged people who took advantage of his indigent mother or him. McGarrity is torn between legal ethics and moral right. As a lawyer, he must keep any secrets as long as a client doesn't reveal an intent to commit a future crime. After visiting Biscuit Buckingham, a jailed bank robber client who was caught because he stopped to help a dog, McGarrity finds out his legal mentor, Jack McCabe, has been killed by an arrow in the back. He shadows William and realizes he's scoping out his next victim, reporter Cindy Halsey. Back home he discovers his fiancée Trish is having an affair with a doctor. He moves out of their apartment into Jack's vacant one. Biscuit escapes from jail in William's laundry truck. William murders a nun and Doctor Benjamin, Trish's lover. McGarrity concludes he's the only one who can stop the "bow sniper." William coerces Biscuit into robbing another bank and abandons him after the job. While Biscuit manages to elude the police in huge Mercer County Park, William executes his grade school teacher. Biscuit meets with McGarrity in a Trenton cemetery. After Biscuit tells him where William lives, he convinces Biscuit to plead guilty to bank robbery and cooperate against William. That will force the court to relieve him as William's counsel due to a conflict of interest on the bank robbery charge. McGarrity drives to William's hideout and finds a scrapbook of victims. He goes to the home of Elaine, the next target. Although with her two children she's about to separate from her husband, McGarrity persuades her to tell the authorities about her ex-boyfriend-Ernest McGinty, who is using the alias William. William finds out from a
A security conference has been scheduled on the world of Arcadia. Security officers from the two thousand plus settled worlds have been invited. Some of the worlds do not yet have terrestrial governments. They would not be sending representatives. Nor would the newly settled worlds be sending a security officer to represent them. And many of the settled worlds had not, for various reasons, joined the Galactic Empire. Although invited, they probably would not send a security officer. All was going well until a separatist group from the world of Edinburgh tries to abduct Doctor Raquel Creed, Director of the Galactic Empire Bureau of Investigation and Director Maria Santos. While Doctor Raquel Creed, Director of the Galactic Empire Bureau of Investigation, is on a spaceflight to the world of Arcadia to attend a security conference, Investigator Douglas T. Kincaid receives a call from Earth. His dear friend and mentor, Lily Ham, needs his help. No force in the Galaxy will stop Doug from traveling back to Earth to help his friend. And if someone has harmed his friend, they will never witness another Earth sunrise. No brag, just fact.
Blisters and Scrabbles is a collection of poems unveiling a steady flow of powerful thoughts and emotions embedded in everyday adventures. A riveting story that paints a remarkably realistic portrait of combat stress reactions. Thirty years after the Vietnam War, eight U.S. veterans - still scarred from the psychological shrapnel of combat and seeking the healing that has long eluded them - bravely return to the country where their enemy lurked so long ago. Retired VA psychologist Dr. Ken Carson prepares the men to minimize the trauma of their journey while Reverend Johnny Green and Rabbi David Aloni lend spiritual support. In Vietnam, the veterans confront their painful, haunting memories: crossing leech-infested rice paddies in the dead of night surrounded by enemy; peasants who could be carrying weapons under their loose fitting "pajamas"; terror in the tunnels; degradation in the whorehouses and more. Finally able to relate to each other emotionally, without the detachment that was necessary for survival during the war, the men form a mini-platoon during the trip, bonding in their quest for wellness. Written by a distinguished psychologist and told from the perspective of eight fictional but vivid central characters, Shrapnel: A Journey Toward Psychological Healing highlights the courage of the veterans while eloquently examining the long-term effects of combat stress and helping to remove the stigma of mental health treatment. www.shrapnelnovel.com
Sterling Silver is best described as a man's man-self-confident, athletic, talented, and extremely handsome. Despite all he has going for him, he is not conceited or rude to others, and both men and women, young and old, are instantly captivated by his charming personality and good looks. From the time he was a teenager, Sterling's goal in life has been to become rich and powerful. Life has been good to him and all is well in the Silver household until the day he learns his parents are separating. Over the next few years, many women try their best to break through the barrier that keeps Sterling uninvolved and unattached. And when they become too persistent, Sterling walks away-sometimes with a little help from his mother, who is always eager to help him get rid of anyone standing in the way of his bid for money and power. But Sterling is about to meet the one woman who might make him lose his grip on the "no commitment" code. He'll have to slow down his heart, reminding himself that he has not yet reached his goal... Sterling Silver conjures emotions that come straight from the heart in this eloquent debut novel about love and the pursuit of happiness.

Many of us have been exposed to a multitude of books, sermons and articles dealing with the end times. What about a book dealing with the time leading up to the book of Revelation? "A Church Under Siege" is written as fiction and would be classed as pre-Revelation. The trials the Pastor faces are realistic and many ministers can easily imagine these types of challenges. The Church is confronted, almost daily, with new challenges especially when the Church school is included. A steady hand is required to lead and the Pastor, Ryan Morris, is there to face whatever may come. As seen thru the Pastor's eyes, you are there as the battle intensifies. As the challenges move forward, the Church must face more than the government.: There is the changing culture. How the Church can work and live within a society which generally rejects Christianity is a real force to deal with. Not only is society rejecting Christianity, it is mostly hostile towards it. The culture openly accepts Atheism, Satanism, other religions and truly evil activities, while at the same time criticizing anyone who claims to be a Christian. Why is that? There is a simple answer! As the story develops, many Christians become convinced the "Mark of the Beast" is being introduced into the country. How would you react if you were exposed to the same demands? How would you react to a Muslim being appointed as the government inspector for the Church school? How would you respond to the government sending a monitor for your Church? These are only some of the attempts to force the Church to submit to the government. Can the Church even survive? With God on your side, all things are possible. The end will surprise you!
Neha Was the Smallest Infant to Ever be Treated and Survive in Afghanistan. An unusual partnership created the French Medical Institute for Children - two private, non-governmental organizations - the Aga Khan Development Network and the France-based humanitarian entity, La Chaine de l'Espoir, and two governments - the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and France. The result is an institution that has enabled children's lives to be saved that might have otherwise been lost. Nearly 1,600 children have been treated for congenital and acquired heart diseases, almost half of which had open-heart surgery. Arising during a time of seemingly never-ending war, FMIC is one of Afghanistan's most remarkable success stories. It has become the enabling catalyst for lives to be changed and dreams to be realized - a place where people have succeeded and survived against overwhelming obstacles and odds. As the U.S. and its allies prepare to shift their missions in Afghanistan from military and combat to aid and development, the general consensus is that nothing done in that war-torn country has been successful. FMIC is one of Afghanistan's most remarkable reconstruction success stories. It is a model that can be emulated as the U.S. and others strive to complete their development missions there. "FMIC has achieved many successes and achieved excellence in many fields in healthcare in Afghanistan. This Institute is a true example of a successful public-private partnership." Dr. Suraya Dalil, Afghanistan's Minister of Public Health, speaking at FMIC's 2nd International Pediatric Conference, December 2012. "When we have international societies with us and partnerships like FMIC, we can have hope for the future. This hope gives me energy to go ahead." Dr. Jalil Wardak, Head of Pediatric General Surgery at FMIC

Advanced technology eventually conquered the challenges of space travel, allowing eager Limians to explore their binary solar system of Dirhkan. In time, Steven emerged to become one of the finest fighters in martial arts, and a rookie superstar in the National Hockey League. Just before the wedding to his childhood sweetheart Maggie Gilmore, tragedy strikes - Steve Lucas vanishes without a trace! The shocking news stuns family, friends, and the nation. When this book hits the fan I expect Satan to try and make an example of me much the way that the religious leaders tried to make an example out of The Messiah, whatever his name. Some people never learn. They have been doing the same things since before the time that Adam came out of the Garden to live in their world. Why is it important to know who was responsible for saying, "come let (us) create man in (our) image; especially since civilization existed outside of the garden long before that. Speaking about that time, how do you explain that the scriptures found in most religions precede the history of the written word. Did you know, based on the true definition of adultery, (to adulterate), that adultery can only be achieved if one of the participants was a married or betrothed woman? A married man and a single woman does not constitute adultery. Find out how the family structure suffers from this misinterpretation about adultery. Ever blamed GOD for your problems or sufferings? You may have if you thought that GOD existed to serve man instead of man existing to serve GOD. Satan created this environment. Do you know or has anyone ever known a Jewish person named Jesus? Did you know that the captors of the Jewish people during the days of The Messiah determined the contents of the Holy Bible? King James formatted the Holy Bible according to the format proclaimed by Constantine, the reigning Roman emperor during the early days of Christianity. When and how did GOD stop using religious leaders to hear the prayers of the multitudes and started hearing prayers on an individual basis? Is Satan a son of GOD? Can Satan read our minds? Is Satan a person, a group, or both? These questions and more will be answered in this book. I guarantee that you will see religion presented in this book in ways previously unmentioned. Religious leaders today are better at politics than they are at public service. Can you be born again just by confessing the name of Jesus as Lord? I thin

David Sternlight is a Wall Street executive, whose career is on the ropes despite numerous contributions to his former firm, Dean, Adams & Company. Now semi-retired, David stays active trading the markets; but has many internal battles raging under a calm exterior. His wife Eva is one of his few sources of comfort. After a celebratory party for the promotion of his ex-boss, Jack Howell, David is aggressively recruited to join a secretive government agency led by a shadowy figure named John McCabe. The reason is McCabe's belief that certain predictive applications of Sternlight's financial software, Excalibur, can be adapted to the war on terror. Without much choice, Sternlight agrees and sees an opportunity to do good things while also fighting the severe mental depression he suffers since the death of his son, Andy, in the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks. Meanwhile in Iraq, a young Muslim boy, Hassan al Hassan, tips off American soldiers as to the location of their kidnapped squad member, who is saved at the last minute, from beheading. As the boy grows older, his peaceful interpretation of Islam gives him many followers and he becomes a young Imam known as "The Boy Prophet." However, militant supporters of Jihad continue in the world, one of which is a young Palestinian doctor named Samir Hijami. The doctor plans a biological strike with an Ebola-like virus that he plans to take within him from Pakistan to London, and then on to Las Vegas. Self-infected, he carries the virus like a viral suicide vest. The biological attack is somewhat obscured by other lesser terrorist actions predicted by Excalibur and going on simultaneously. The new terror strategy is a main strike within numerous head-fakes for distraction. Due to miscalculations by Hijami, the main center of the virus outbreak prematurely becomes London. The culmination of many events leads to the intersection of good and evil, and a surprising reaction within the Muslim world. In the aftermath of the terrorist attacks and the ongoing influence of the Boy Prophet, Sternlight comes to grips with his strengths and weaknesses; and the realization that more battles will still follow.
For too long, members of the GLBT community have been castigated and condemned by mainstream religions. The community''s very existence is branded as being against the teachings of the Bible and the word of God. Furthermore, it is stated that community members deserve no rights equal to other, more "traditional" and "Christian" members of society at large. Community members have been targeted with violence by various hate groups in the U.S. and other countries, in point of fact, three to four members are murdered worldwide in the most horrible, unimaginably violent way.Ordained minister in 1996 and a lifelong member of the GLBT community, Rev. Carpenter takes a look at the historical, cultural and societal pressures at work when the Judeo-Christian religion was in its infancy, the struggle to translate and interpret ancient scriptures, then discusses the long term effects this pressure had on the religion we have today. Failure to take the history and culture of the time and the history of the Bible into account when reading scripture only gives a partial picture of what is expected of us by God. For instance, quoting from the most popular manual of moral doctrine in the Middle Ages, St. Jerome insisted that, "A man who loves his wife very much is an adulterer. Any love for someone else''s wife, or too much love for one''s own, is shameful. The upright man should love his wife with his judgment, not his affections."Where did the idea that women were the cause of the downfall of Man, was it from such pronouncements as this from one of the Early Church Fathers; "If there dwelt upon earth a faith as great as is the reward of faith that is expected in the heavens, all of you, best beloved sisters (would rather) walk about as Eve -mourning and repentant. This would be in order that by every garb of satisfaction she might the more fully expiate that which she derives from Eve -the shame I mean, of the first sin, and the odium attaching to her as the cause of

Take it off the "shelf" and dust it off, get it out of the YOUR closet/garage/dresser drawer and reexamine it, bring it to the forefront of YOUR mind,AWAKEN it and allow the LORD G
Austin had never broken a promise to her-except this one. Gazing up at the moon and stars, Alexandra reminisced of times she and Austin had sat in the red swing nestled beneath a fuzzy blanket as the ocean waves crashed ashore. It had been months since she'd received the devastating news that had forever altered the course of her future. Feeling lost on the inside, she managed to move forward with the dream she still carried in her heart. And as much as she wanted to change the outcome of their future, she couldn't. Her assistant, Jane Hammond, had been an encouraging friend by offering a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on. Carrying a hurt so deep, Jane understood all about love and loss. Hoping for a second chance at love, Jane fought the fear that her intuition may be right about the secret life of the man she loved. But each time doubt rose up, she wouldn't allow herself to believe the worst. Mike Sutter was well-known as a Master carpenter and he had the portfolio to prove it. He'd restored a many a house over the years, and was handy at fixing most things. As good as he was at doing what he loved-it still hadn't filled the emptiness in his heart. He knew that one woman could possibly make him feel complete. That is, if she'd only give him a chance to love her.

Each of us was born into this life having to travel our individual journey. No two journeys are the same, just as no two people are the same. We all have different dreams, goals, and callings. I am not on this earth by accident nor are you. God does not create accidents. There is a greater power working in us, a Paraclete. If we surrender ourselves to His guidance and purpose, God can do more through us than we ever thought possible. Although life can be joyous, at some point throughout our journey, we will face obstacles. You may have experienced some failure along the way in the past but you are not a failure. This book was written with the same hope and inspiration that comes to me from God to encourage people not to give up when faced with adversity. This book is about having the perseverance to move forward even when you do not feel like taking another step. Your callings and dreams are too important for you to give up on. You can position yourself to reach your destiny. You can achieve success. It is my prayer as you read this book that God will clothe you with hope. Hope, that no matter what you are facing, you will believe one more day. For more information about this book or the author, please visit www.believeonemoreday.com
