The purpose of this research is to demonstrate the existence of a regulation in the Colombian public law in charge of controlling and mitigating the financial risk in the concession regime of public works in the road sector. In this way, an analysis of the most important laws that have regulated the concession regime of public works in the road sector will be made in order to demonstrate that there is a solid public policy that has led to the implementation of a coherent strategy resulting from the experience and evolution for the control of this type of contractual risks, a policy that has become evident not only in traditional laws of public procurement, but has also been present in the same law of public-private partnerships.

This book has been organised with the aim of disseminating the data relating to a Master's research project, the object of which is the school habitus of primary school pupils. The research is part of discussions on the process of schooling, in the relationship that is established between the school habitus, the practices of teachers and the students' families. The study is based on the concept of habitus from Pierre Bourdieu's theory. The question is: what is the contribution of out-of-school tasks mediated by the family and the school in the constitution of the school habitus of primary school children and its consequences for the pupils' schooling process? Thus, this research offers contributions to expanding knowledge about the characteristics of the school habitus of primary school students; whether this habitus is related to success in school performance and to what extent the family and the teacher contribute to the realisation of this habitus and its contributions to the success of the students' schooling. It is hoped that the results will contribute to future reflections on improving the schooling process through the school habitus.

"While Marcos, the day's helper, was giving the children their caps so they could get ready for coffee, or helping them put them on, I followed him cautiously. When he had finished his task, he came towards me and said: - Auntie, it's missing! (Showing the bag full of caps) - No darling, it's left over. (Considering, who was correcting him) - No auntie, there were no heads left. (DIÁRIO DE BORDO, 05/10/2015)." Far from fixed, rigid and finished answers, we proposed this research in order to explore these everyday moments that are as unnoticed as learning. Therefore, sharpening the reader's sensitive gaze and putting them in the children's shoes is fundamental, because only by putting ourselves in their position will it be possible to understand them.

Expand and share positive school management experiences that have shown good results in various states and municipalities across the country. Some good examples of interventions that could be replicated are: appointing school headmasters based on their performance and experience (rather than political appointments); paying bonuses to teachers and staff based on school performance; adapting state policies to specific local needs; sharing experiences and best practices; and highlighting the best performing schools. Brazil has huge challenges in getting its education system right.

The main aim of this book is to analyse the subject of "Adoption of children by homosexual couples in Brazilian law", addressing the new forms of families created in today's society, understanding the historical evolution, the concept and legal recognition of filiation by homosexual couples, and the constitutional principles of the dignity of the human person, equality and freedom. The purpose of this study is not to exhaust the subject or to give preference to people's sexual choices, but to deal with the due recognition of the new societies that are being born and to fulfil the dream not only of children and adolescents abandoned in foster homes of growing up in the warmth of a home, but also the dream of many couples of this new era who have the possibility of giving them a different destiny, under the light of the law. As we read on, we have to keep in mind the answer to the best fate for a child who has been removed from the biological bond. To be adopted off the streets? To be adopted by foster carers or to be adopted by a homosexual couple and have the chance to build their own story?

The interview is considered one of the most important tools in journalism. From it, reporters obtain the information they need to structure stories or reports. In order to build a narrative that presents credible information and is authoritative in its discourse, it is necessary to draw up a good script of questions, which will then be directed to the sources. Furthermore, using interviews requires professionals to adopt a series of attitudes that also contribute to the development of a quality journalistic product. It was with this in mind that Yago Moreira decided to put together a manual in which practice and theory merge to outline the paths that the interviewer must follow. In this book, he portrays the work of a search for journalists who are references in the art of interviewing - within the national scene. Challenges, strategies, recommendations and a great desire to extract answers that reveal the true self of any interviewee.

In contemporary times, the protagonists of the doctor-patient relationship must be guided by respectful dialogue, considering, on the one hand, the professional with great scientific knowledge and, on the other, the patient as a biopsychosocial and spiritual being who seeks a solution to their suffering. The second half of the 20th century saw impressive scientific advances, which made previously unthinkable medical interventions feasible. However, at the same time as health professionals began to incorporate these advances into their practices, patients were no longer passive beings, obedient and submissive to the therapeutic proposals suggested by doctors. This new reality has introduced significant changes in the dynamics of the doctor-patient relationship, making it compulsory to adopt new rules of coexistence and the deliberative process proposed by bioethics is a valuable tool for revitalising intersubjective dialogue between health professionals and patients.

Neither pectin nor the essential oils necessary to cover the demand generated mainly by the food and pharmaceutical sectors are produced in Colombia. For this reason, valencia orange peels from the producing region in the department of Cesar were used to obtain them and observe their application in the production of gels. Initially, essential oil was extracted by steam dragging and then pectin was extracted by acid hydrolysis in order to take maximum advantage of the by-product of the orange juice industry, which can later be used to obtain fertilizer or concentrated animal feed. This work aims to contribute to the agroindustrial development of the Colombian industry and especially of the Department of Cesar to increase the profitability of the processes, reduce the importation of these products and reduce the environmental impacts caused by the non-use of these residues.

The aim of this paper is to point out the reasons why the phenomenon of the double became one of the symbols of German Romanticism. To this end, the historical and social context between the end of the 18th century and the middle of the 19th century will be highlighted; the main characteristics of this artistic movement and some of the interfaces between Romanticism and psychoanalysis aimed to consider psychic antagonisms, as well as aspects of the unconscious and the fragmentation of the subject, making it a "split" one part of its being is conscious and the other part, unconscious, concerns that anticipated psychoanalysis. The manifestations of the double in the literature of German Romanticism were highlighted by the writer E. T. A. Hoffmann and, through the interpretative reading of his short stories, The Lost Image, Doctor Trabacchio and The Doubles, the nature of the manifestations of this phenomenon were analysed, which oscillated between the non-recognition of the self and the utopian need for the romantic subject to reunite with himself.

This book discusses the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) methods used for Class II Submerged Pit Mining (Sand). The study was carried out in the municipality of Redenção, Pará, Brazil. It is marked by a historical occupational context of logging and mineral extraction. Mining activity has been gaining ground in the municipality, causing significant changes and consequent environmental impacts. The fact that this activity is carried out without a responsible technician has reversible and irreversible environmental impacts. This led to the need to assess the environmental impacts from 2013 to 2016 using the techniques of overlay mapping, check-listing and interaction matrices. The aggravating factors of the environmental impacts were highlighted by the EIA techniques in the years 2013 to 2015, and with the overlay mapping technique it was possible to quantify the amount of illegally exploited area.

This paper analyses the planning and control process in the application of resources developed by the executive branches of twelve municipalities in the north-western region of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. It discusses public planning in Brazil, emphasising the legal aspects and the need for planning, control and evaluation by public administrators, through planning instruments such as the PPA, LDO and LOA. A bibliographical review of the Fiscal Responsibility Law, Strategic Planning and Management Control was also presented. The results obtained from the data analysis are presented, showing an assessment of the context of planning and control in the realisation and application of public resources, identifying the main deviations that occur in the budget, due to not using it as a planning and control tool. It was concluded that there is inefficiency in planning and even the non-existence of this practice in some cases, hence the need for an alternative management control system that proposes continuous monitoring of planning and adequate and consistent management control.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of the School Health Programme (PSE) in three public schools in the city of Três Rios - RJ, after one year of implementation. This evaluation compared the knowledge of hygiene principles reported by students from the three public schools (EPB), included in the PSE, and students from three public schools (EPC), which do not take part in the programme. The results of this study show that the PSE has contributed to the cultural integration of public school students in relation to hygiene, since published studies on this type of analysis describe superiority in EPCs compared to EPBs. The results also suggest that students from public schools, not included in the PSE, are being provided with the desired knowledge. The implementation of the PSE proved to be relevant in the short term for teaching hygiene habits in BPS and as a factor in diagnosing students' health conditions. In the long term, it is hoped that the PSE will become a factor of real importance for issues related to personal and collective hygiene.

The aim of this study is to improve the energy efficiency of a rotational moulding production process, optimising the consumption of electricity and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) while maintaining the quality of the products produced. A practical investigation was carried out to monitor and understand the production process, and based on the theoretical framework, actions were proposed so that the objective could be achieved. The actions helped to define the process parameters, emphasising the furnace time, which was identified as the main cause of problems with non-conforming parts. From the results obtained, it was concluded that energy efficiency in a production process does not necessarily require high investment. In addition to the economic factors, the study enabled adjustments to be made to the internal procedures of the company sectors involved in the production process. The figures presented refer to the dollar exchange rate of R$ 3.25.

The tambaqui (Colossoma macropomum) has high potential for zootechnical exploitation because, as well as having highly prized meat, it can reach a commercial size of around 1kg in the first year of rearing in captivity. However, there is a lack of information on crude protein and its reduction with supplementation of limiting amino acids. Therefore, in this book I present the results of research carried out with the aim of determining the effects of crude protein levels and their reduction, with amino acid supplementation based on the ideal protein concept, in rations for tambaqui fry.

This work is characterised as an exploratory study focusing on how teachers are perceived in today's society, analysing the importance of their image through the social representativeness formulated and reflected in the school environment. Data collection took place in a public secondary school in Pernambuco/Brazil through its students. The data collection procedure consisted of two stages: The first stage of the research consisted of an exploratory nature with the aim of offering a general explanation of the topic through delimitation of the study and a bibliographical survey. The second stage of the research consisted of the application of questionnaires, the results of which were exported to SPSS software. The aspects investigated about the real and ideal teacher were based on analyses of the teachers' personal and personality characteristics, relationships and professional characteristics. The data collected showed that in the students' perception these aspects are interconnected, and it is not possible to conceive of them separately.

Carbohydrates are the most abundant biomolecules in nature, having both structural and energy reserve functions. The feeding of ruminant animals is based on the use of fodder which contains fibrous carbohydrates (hemicellulose, cellulose and lignin). Due to their high energy content, carbohydrates are the main energy suppliers for mammals. Ruminants have developed a symbiotic relationship with microorganisms, which has given them the ability to use fibrous carbohydrates as a source of energy, both for maintenance and to generate animal products.

Promoting gender equality through feminism in Monterrey requires a systemic approach that includes the adoption of a social constitutional model, the implementation of public policies that promote equal opportunities, and the promotion of feminist awareness in society. Only in this way will we be able to move towards a more just and equal society for all people. There is still much to be done in Monterrey and in Mexico in general to achieve gender equality It is necessary to continue promoting public policies that promote equal opportunities between men and women, as well as to combat gender violence in all its forms. It is also important to include women in all areas of public life, from politics to the economy, so that they can play an active role in making decisions that affect them. Feminism is a fundamental tool for promoting equality. world It is necessary to continue reflecting on the constitutional models that guide our societies and how they can contribute to gender equality. This paper, on the one hand, has as its main research focus and objective, to analyze the philosophical and historical-philosophical connections that exist between Freidrich Hegel, Karl Marx and Axel Honneth in relation to the categories alienation and reification and the relationship that they may have with what we will call, following Axel Honneth, democratic system of eticity. Thus, it will be necessary to reconstruct what is alienation and what is reification, the former a category developed by Hegel but usually identified with Marxian theorizing, and the latter a category more proper to Marxian theory, both of which are again thematized by Honneth in the process of constructing his theory of social freedom and democratic ethicism. Since democratic eticity is an ideal, a state of affairs to be achieved, what this thesis will have to consider is the way in which alienation and reification, both of which are considered negative situations and incompatible with the idea of freedom, can be overcome.

This book presents a proposal for a distance learning course in secondary education for young people and adults (EJA), built on the moodle platform. A new teaching alternative for the EJA public is described, taking into account the specifications of this type of teaching. In addition to the proposal, a general overview of the history of Distance Education in Brazil is presented, including the links with Youth and Adult Education, as well as an investigation into the profile of the students. This study focuses on constructivism as a theoretical support for learning, based on the ideas of scholars who have shown that knowledge can occur autonomously and meaningfully. The discussion of this proposal is subdivided into 4 different themes: 1) how to assess in a distance learning course; 2) the course plan drawn up for a distance learning course; 3) discussion of the platform used and; 4) the language adopted on the platform. A number of distance learning platforms were researched and the moodle platform was chosen because it had all the necessary characteristics for the development of the work.
