This book is a collection of strange and scary stories I either heard growing up, or personally experienced, while growing up primarily in Buckingham County. Some stories are remembrances of stories told by family members or others in the neighborhood. These stories told were often told late in the evening or at night as we sat around talking, usually in a room lit by a lamp on a cold winter night. Three of the stories are stories I personally experienced. One of the stories happened late one evening while waiting for my mom to return home. Another scary story was an encounter I suffered one night while returning home from playing basketball at my cousin's house. I also include a personal achievement story, and two family members' historic participation in the Civilian Conservation Camp (CCC) in the early 1940s.

Jake Barnes is back and this time... he fucks.Passion. Emotion. Eroticism. Incisive wit. Literary merit. These are all the things the work of Ernest Hemingway lacks. Luckily, we've fixed all that by having real writers tackle this instead of that old hack. I mean fuck, has anybody even read The Sun Also Rises? It's just a bunch of rich pricks sitting around in cafes thinking about how sad they are cause some guy went and got his dick shot off in World War One. Well, in our book, it grows back. How's that for a hook? Admit it, the whole time you read it you were imagining what it would be like if he could fuck. Well, now you don't have to imagine. You can read about it. Come on. You know you want to. ~PRAISE FOR THE GREAT GATSBY 2~"10/10""If you're looking to be swept away into a book... look no further""High art at its finest""Should be known just as well as the bible""Makes the original look like trash""Wow."

Forgotten Echoes is a series of poems about the soul of God that splits itself into multiform. One spark takes on the form of "the man of Earth", dividing himself further into his creations. There he experiences the pleasures of the Earth. As he dreams, the Goddess also descends into multiform and they wage war against one another. She reveals the path of ascension and her companion refuses to fulfill a promise. Then he begins to fight his creations which are aspects of himself. In the act of creation, he falls deeper into his dream. The Goddess also descends deeper into the Abyss to walk beside her companion, waiting for a single spark to find his way home.Forgotten Echoes is inspired by the mystery traditions of Wicca, Gnosticism, and Jewish mysticism.

The things written and published in this book were not meant to be a book at all. They are sermons preached from the pulpit, recorded and transcribed. These sermons I preached to the church I pastor over a period of weeks meant for the instruction and comfort of that congregation. Hoping to benefit them further and to possibly benefit others with the good news of the gospel of Christ crucified, I have printed and published them. Furthermore, this is what they are about, the gospel of Christ and Him crucified as pictured in Abraham and Isaac and the events surrounding Mt. Moriah. As to whether Mt. Moriah was later Mt. Calvary or thereabouts, I cannot say for sure and that is really not important. What I am sure about is that they are pictures, a foreshadowing, of Christ and Him crucified! Christ's words concerning Abraham are the proof of this: "Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad." (John 8:56) The people, things, and events of Mt. Moriah are typical of the substitutionary death of the Lord Jesus Christ for His elect people, His sheep, which He laid down His life for, saving them from their sins. This is not only the theme of Genesis 22 but also the theme of all the Bible. All the holy scriptures are about Christ and His sufferings for the sins of His people. In all the pictures, types, shadows of that work, as well as the plain statements of the New Testament, His success as their Savior, Redeemer and King is obvious. He is that "Jesus... who saved all his people from their sins." (Matthew 1:21) As Paul the apostle, "I determined to know nothing among you, save Jesus Christ, and Him crucified." (1 Corinthians 2:2) May this always be our determination in preaching and may Christ be glorified in all He accomplished in the death of the cross. To Him be all glory forever and ever.

Only a veteran transit cop, jaded by his memories of growing up in the shadows of Boston's forced busing and desegregation, knows the truth: The enemy is not some international terrorist cell but the politics and hubris that continually pit the haves and have-nots against each other in one of the country's oldest and most congested cities. Code Black delves into the many contradictions that shape Boston: wealth and poverty, liberal and conservative, academia and working-class, and even black and white. This is no ordinary book about Religion: Trains Tracks Theology (3-T) takes a fresh look at hard questions like: Why the first century Jews reject Christ? Why hasn't Jesus come back? Why did God give all the rules? What law is the schoolmaster that brings us to Christ? And most importantly, why did Jesus have to die? In a compelling narrative, 3-T reviews Biblical history from a Great Controversy perspective, a war that was started in heaven over the character and government of God, a war created when Satan accused God of being arbitrary, exacting, unforgiven, severe, and a liar about death being the natural consequences of sin. 3-T is an eye-opener, a must read for all those committed to searching the Scriptures. It will give you a new perspective on what God is like and explain why God seems so harsh in the Old Testament and is still called a God of love. You will enjoy this fresh, bold, new picture of God, a God you will want to be friends with forever.

It's winter in Bedlam. Dirty snow lies in heaps on every street corner, toasted black with exhaust fumes. The whole city is buried under the worst snow in years and none of the slums have gotten plowed. They're on the brink of rioting and things are about to get worse. For a series of vicious crimes is about to shake the city to its core. And the cover-up is going to set the frozen streets on fire. And twelve rampaging supervillains are threatening to give Bedlam City a two-fisted Christmas (and a violent new year?) It's up to you to stop them, and it's going to be a bad day in Bedlam if you can't.Do you remember the Bronze Age of comics? That wonderful, horrible period between 1970 and 1978, when comics tried to get "relevant"? When racism, poverty and injustice could be solved with a bash in the chops! In the spirit of these violently well-meaning comics from the days of yore, we bring you Bad Day in Bedlam. This giant-sized, 212 page adventure gives us an unflinching look at racism, political corruption and their effects on ordinary people. And it lets your players fix them with their fists! It gives you ten scenes, thirteen dastardly supervillains, dozens of supporting npcs from every walk of life! Eleven knock-down, drag-out superbattles, enough to slake your players' bloodthirst for months! Plus trash-littered alleys, tormented angst, moral gray zones and at least two vigilantes who dress in black and brood in rooftops in the dark! Are you ready to sock social injustice in the jaw?

"The Chymical Wedding" is a rather curious exhibition of Christian and heathen symbolism evoking a poetical image and resemblance of the mystical or mystery path of spiritual initiation. The authorship of this hermetic romance has been the subject of controversy since it was first published in 1616 under the pseudonym of Christian Rosenkreutz. The actual identity of the author remained completely unknown for several decades until the German orthodox Lutheran theologian Johannes Valentinus Andreae (1586-1654) claimed authorship in his old age. Either way, it is clear that whosoever authored this book exhibited not only a scholarly knowledge of the ancient symbolical devices but, most importantly, quite a thorough understanding of their innermost mystical purport.E.GIBIL is now pleased to present a brand new edition of this classic of Rosicrucian and Western Esoteric tradition. Now profusely annotated by Sonchis Triacorda, "The Chymical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreutz" has become a true initiatic and inspirational voyage bustling with purpose, insight and mystical inspiration.
