My son has faced challenges with his /r/ sounds, and while we found it endearing, he was growing increasingly conscious of sounding different. This book provided us with the chance to share a good laugh about how it's a natural part of growing up and an opportunity for us to work together on mastering the correct use of his mouth and tongue to produce the sound. We sincerely appreciate this heartwarming story! Thank you!" -Kaylee mom of Jack age 6 "I teach kindergarten and this book is loved my kids! They love listening to me read it in my silly voices. "The Hamas group from Palestine attacked Israel in October 2023. A war broke out and over 1,300 people have died so far in the past week. I am not sure of anti-Zionism, but if I were Israeli, I wouldn't have tried to expand my territory against Palestinians. Technically, the land of current Israel doesn't have much commercial values - no oil, agriculture or water resources. I would try to keep some lands near Tel Aviv, which is over 10 times bigger than Hong Kong or Singapore, and try to build a new city like Dubai there. I wouldn't have fought over useless lands with poor Palestinians; I would rather let them keep most of it as I need what I need. The fact that we don't think practically can be a reason to be poor. Land used to have "absolute values" in agricultural societies, but that's an old concept, not applicable any more. Also, I wouldn't stick to Jerusalem itself necessarily, only because my ancestors lived there once. The point is to obtain new land to settle safely. 90% of Australia or Canada are virtually empty now. I like to think what would Moses do if he leads now - by the time he led the Exodus of the Israelites out of Egypt, North America was not even discovered yet."

When her second tour in Iraq ends in tragedy, Army veteran Sara Randolph returns home to Arkansas a wounded woman. While her physical scars have begun the fade, the emotional ones are as fresh and raw as ever. Because for Sara, the battle still hasn't ended. She is haunted by the shame of bad choices and naivety, by the memory of her dead squad mates, and by the guilt for having caused the ambush that got them all killed. Diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, home is where she hopes to heal, but even her father, a Vietnam War vet, can't find the right words to help her. In an effort to push through the trauma and find a new normal, Sara returns to the one place that feels right-the White River, where she grew up fishing. It's here that she finds peace, as well as Arkansas Conservation Officer Luke Matthews, who could be the key to opening her heart. It's also where she finds an abandoned young runaway who seems to understand her struggles better than anyone. As Sara holds on to her sanity with all her strength, she's faced with more adversity-bullies who don't appreciate a woman on a man's river and the small-town Arkansas version of a drug kingpin who thinks her military training might benefit his criminal operation. They all pale in comparison to the most vicious enemy of all, though-herself. Between the flashbacks, the nightmares, and her own horrific self doubt, every step forward comes with two steps back. Can she come to terms with the past and forgive herself? Or will the memory of her dead comrades drive her to the one place she can never return from?

The present is not just a moment. It is a reality of its own that does not belong to time. It is next to impossible for the human mind to understand the present, for it dwells only in the past or the future. Perhaps this is why, as human beings - creatures bound to the mind - we struggle to comprehend the sheer magnanimity of mindfulness, the subtle art of being here and now. In this fascinating deep dive into the world of the "Now," enlightened teacher Avi takes us on a magical journey through the labyrinth of the mind - its fears and afflictions, desires and disappointments - to a place pulsing with pure peace, bliss, and aliveness: the eternal now. The reason we often miss the magic of the present moment is that it seems like too simple a solution for life's complex problems. Yet, many times, it is the simplest things that are the hardest to understand. Navigating the mysterious realm of the now takes knowledge and skill. Who better to guide us on this magnificent journey than a realized teacher whose dwelling is the present moment?

After an archaeological excavation under the Giza platform Kemp Hastings, Darlene Gammay and Erica Vine, once again find themselves caught up in a series of inexplicable events that introduces the three colleagues to an ancient Anunnaki Pharaoh called 'Og' and have to acknowledge the workings of alchemy and time travel coupled with a glimpse into the afterlife.   As Kemp Hastings works away in his Baker's shop known locally as the 'Biscuit factory'  An alien entity appears out of nowhere and for some reason sends or bio - locates Hastings to the Museum in Cairo where he finds himself under arrest from the local authorities. Whilst in police custody a visitor turns up and explains to the baker the secrets of an ancient prophecy that was coming to fruition in this modern age, and that the great sorcerer 'Og' from Kom Ombo, Egypt was travelling through time in order to seek revenge on the kings that had waged war against his people. The oddity being that 'Og' on this occasion may have been sent to the biscuit factory for another purpose entirely by the Anunnaki.   After receiving the 'red egg' of the creation theory, Erica and Darlene are sent into the underworld by the alien to be prematurely judged as retribution for disturbing the resting tomb of the great King Nimrod (Gilgamesh) due to their earlier exploits as a 'curse' punishment. However, they survive the ordeal having explained to the great 'Utu' of the underworld that they were still living beings and had not passed the human cycle of life and ask that they be returned to their normal lives as they had been sent by the 'Og' under false pretence.    As the story unfolds it becomes apparent that the 'Og' was on a mission from the heavens to help humanity against a surge in the 'climate changes' across the planet earth and engages with world leaders to execute a joint military and alien global  seeding program to reduce climate change starting in Antarctica.    The only problem being that the Draco lizard species and some rogue Igigi beings are acting on behalf of the serpent Queen and were attempting to heat up the earth and remove mankind, whilst attempting to take over earth and erase the Anunnaki from existence.   This is the final book of the Trilogy - The Anunnaki Legend of the Ankh, The Seed - Anu Nexus & The Alien Biscuit Factory.

"GRASP ONE SKILL FOR SUCCESS AND REACH ITS END" is a book that takes you on an enlightening journey. It isn't just a guide; it's a friend that walks you through the adventure of discovering and honing a single skill to enrich your life personally and professionally. The lessons from this book are manifold. Firstly, we learn the significance of focus. In a world that praises the 'jack of all trades, ' this book brings an important counter-perspective: mastery of one. The stories and strategies inside illustrate that depth often trumps breadth, showing us that expertise in a single skill can open more doors than being mediocre at many.Secondly, it educates us on self-discovery. It isn't just about picking a skill at random; it's about finding the intersection where passion and talent meet. This book has tools that help us look within and identify our innate abilities, making choosing our skills an insightful experience. The book also ingrains in us the 'Mastery Mindset.' This mindset is about embracing challenges, staying persistent, and understanding that mastery is a journey, not a destination. It dispels the myth of overnight success and prepares us for a sustained effort toward achieving greatness in our chosen field. Moreover, we learn the art of learning itself. The author details how to practice effectively, seek feedback, and adapt to overcome obstacles. It teaches us that the path to mastery is paved with patience and the right strategies, not just raw talent or luck. Teaching and sharing our skills is another powerful lesson. The author emphasizes that in teaching, we reinforce our knowledge and gain new insights. This cycle of continuous learning and giving back creates a community of growth.Commercializing our skills is also a crucial takeaway. The book doesn't just leave us with a skill - it guides us on how to turn it into a sustainable and profitable venture. It's about making our passion work for us in the real world. Lastly, the book talks about legacy. It encourages readers to think about how their mastered skill can impact the world, leaving a lasting footprint that transcends their success. The author wrote this book to challenge the notion that we must do everything. In a society that often overwhelms us with the need to multi-task, this book is a testament to the power of singular focus. The author aims to simplify the road to success, to make it more approachable, and to show that it is not the quantity of skills but the quality of one that can lead to a fulfilling and successful life.In essence, "Grasp One Skill for Success and Reach Its End" is a manifesto for those who want to delve deep rather than wide, build a legacy, and achieve profound success through the mastery of one.WHY ONE SKILL CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE: Why learning just one great skill could be your ticket to success?FINDING YOUR SUPERPOWER: Fun ways to figure out which skill will make you shine. Nominated for the Hugo, Nebula, and Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Awards"Outstanding. . . . It's a fascinating future, and Jude's personal story is involving." -Rich Horton, Locus MagazineJude Plane is not your typical teenage boy, even among the other kids in his cloistered religious enclave. He belongs to the Machinist Guild, a group that forbids the use of any technology more advanced than a doorknob. But advanced technology can be hard to avoid when you live in an overlooked corner of Netherview Station-a giant wheel in space, twelve light-years from Earth.Jude wants to live an obedient life, whatever that means, but his resolve is put to the test when his abusive father sends him to work outside the enclave, unloading freight at the station's hub. There Jude will make friends stranger than any he has ever known and will find himself confronted by choices he never imagined. But will he solve the biggest mystery of all-the mystery of who he is?"An intelligent, well-crafted piece. . . . Shunn's elaborate details about the religious rules and philosophies of this group form thought-provoking parallels with some of today's funda-men-talist religious groups. It would not surprise me if this tale eventually finds a place in someone's year's best science fiction anthology." -Jeff Cates, Tangent"A well-considered examination of a basic SF concern: the clash of differing technological levels, and how this (especially now) can cause the lower-tech culture to retreat into funda-men-talism. . . . Shunn gets a lot of good satirical digs in, and a contemporary dilemma is penetratingly illuminated." -Nick Gevers, Locus Magazine
