In this book the CFD analysis of a centrifugal pump is done using k-¿ turbulent modeling and SIMPLEC algorithm from which the velocity and pressure contours are plotted for different operating conditions. In this work the mass flow rate is varied three times for two different fluids that are water and fuel oil. First the mass flow rate is decreased by 10% from the initial value of mass flow rate and then increased by 10% from the initial value of mass flow rate. Using the results of varying mass flow rate the efficiency at different mass flow rate is calculated. The results are compared with the theoretical results. Then the theoretical and software results are plotted in the operating characteristics curves and are verified. The deviation produced among them nearly 10% to 15 % is permissible. Then the rotational speed (RPM) is changed by decreasing and increasing by 10% and results are compared with the theoretical results and verified through characteristics curves. After the flow analysis the maximum pressure acting on the blades for the maximum efficiency in case of water and fuel oil are calculated from CFD analysis and the fatigue analysis (FEA) of the centrifugal pump
This handbook is an attempt to introduce a summary of the start of the universe, motion of planets, different calendars and the system of terrestrial and celestial coordinates. Time in geodetic astronomy is also introduced, which is an essential part of many applications and technologies such as GPS and others.According to the irregular motion of the earth, and to keep the terrestrial coordinates, celestial coordinates are modified to polar motion and seasonal variation. Some believe that using satellite observations could replace the astronomical determinations of the earth''s positions, this is not true because the satellite movements is similar to the movement of the planets and natural satellites. GPS observations can strengthen traditional networks which depend on astronomical observations. The effect of change of the earth''s axis of rotation either regular or due to sudden natural disasters could be understood from this work. This handbook also provides an explanation of determining astronomical latitude, longitude and azimuth, also the Black method to determine Black''s azimuth and the position line method for the determination of the latitude and longitude.
Since hundreds of years, the Arabs inspired the worldby their unique stories and fairytales of ArabianNights and the legends of Sinbad, Aladdin, Ali Baba, and Scheherazade. Many poets, musicians, painters andcineastes used at least one element from these greatimaginations and creativity in their artworks. The Arabs weren't away Animation too; and when Disney(1901¿1966) started to make his first featureanimated film "Snow White and Seven Dwarfs" in 1930s,there was a small group of Russian carpenters whoworked with their Egyptian partners to create a filmfor the Egyptian Ministry of Defense as amobilization film for the national army against theNazi army attacking in the World War II. The group ofcarpenters was Frenkel brothers, and the film called"National Defense" and was released before featurefilms in cinema halls in Cairo and Alexandria in late1939, to be one of the oldest animation films notonly in Egypt, but in Africa and the Arab world.
Research in countries around the world has proven time and again that emotions provide a common link between people of varying cultures. People with differing backgrounds, lifestyles, and beliefs still tend to display the same basic set of core emotions. It is this connection that makes emotion and emotional intelligence such a powerful leadership tool. A leader who can understand these innate human characteristics is more likely to be able to use them in a positive and effective manner.
Comprehensive understanding of the heat transfer processes that take place during circulating fluidized bed (CFB) combustion is one of the most important issues in CFB technology development. This leads to possibility of predicting, evaluation and proper design of combustion and heat transfer mechanisms. The aim of this work is to develop a model for circulating fluidized bed boiler operation. Empirical correlations are used for determining heat transfer coefficients in each part of the furnace. The proposed model is used both in design and offdesign conditions. During off-design simulations fuel moisture content and boiler load effects on boiler operation have been investigated. In this book fuel properties of most typical classes of biomass are widely reviewed. Various schemes of biomass utilization are presented and, especially, concerning circulating fluidized bed boilers. In addition, possible negative effects of biomass usage in boilers are briefly discussed.
