Psalm 100:5 (KJV) says, "His truth endureth to all generations" yet I believe that we are living in the most exciting time in history. We are going to witness a breed of Christians arising, of all ages, which the world has never seen. They are going to have the resources, tools and opportunities that believers have never had, so that the message can go forth with power and speed like never before. "He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly" - Psalm 147:15 (KJV).The standard for every generation is Jesus. However Millennial Myopia describes the trap of focusing everything on one particular generation or demographic cohort, at the exclusion and expense of all others. The Church cannot afford to make this mistake too. Loaded with research, this book takes readers on a journey of discovery, revealing the true nature of kingdom diversity.

Touching the Heart of God is the very essence of prayer. Whether we are petitioning God with very specific requests or consecrating ourselves before Him and rededicating our lives - whatever the case may be - the true essence of all praying is "Touching the Heart of God." "The church is looking for better methods; God is looking for better men. The Holy Ghost does not flow through methods, but through men. He does not come on machinery, but on men. He does not anoint plans, but men..." - E. M. Bounds. Without this our praying reaches the realm of dead things - relics of past victories and experiences - nothing more. Prayer before anything else is relationship. If it reaches beyond this point - it finds deception.

Let's face it; we live in the era of fake news! It's always existed, but never been quite so prominent. Today it's an all-out-war between fact and political fiction. The media has been sabotaged by political activism. Gone are the days of impartiality and objective unbiased reporting, with many sources saying that true journalism is dead. Sensationalism keeps the cable news channels on air; embellishing the facts ensures entertainment value and viewership 24/7; (first coined Yellow Journalism). Citizen journalism now means that EVERYONE HAS A CAMERA and Robojournalism is the new necessity, to help keep up with demand. My wife and I have co-written this book, which is a compilation of research that we put together for a series of teachings on spiritual portals and gateways, with media being the most prominent.

Dwarf hamsters as pets Dwarf hamsters are cute, tiny rodents that have only recently become popular with pet owners and differ from the more common Syrian hamster because of their small size. On average, adult dwarf hamsters measure 9 centimetres or 4 inches in length. They first appeared on the domestic small pet scene sometime around the early 1970's but were not common-place and had to be obtained from breeders. They appeared in the commercial pet trade on a large scale in the mid-1990's and have since grown in popularity with small pet owners. There are three recognised species of dwarf hamsters, namely Campbell's, Roborovski and Russian Winter White. Since their growth in popularity there are many hybrid dwarf hamsters available as well, bred to create different colour variations. Although they are small, they are not suitable pets for small children. Their fragile composition makes caring for dwarf hamsters a commitment of careful care, a gentle touch and ensuring that they stay well fed, watered and healthy. Veterinary treatment of such tiny animals is very difficult, so prevention of injury or sickness is key.If you decide to commit to caring for one of these tiny, cute little animals you will be rewarded with endless hours of entertainment as many of these cuties can become quite loving if treated properly. Although dwarf hamsters might not be the best pet for just anyone, if you are that right someone then educating yourself on how to care for them will be the first step towards what will be the most rewarding and fascinating journey as you get to know your little dwarf hamster with its quirky personality and amusing daily routines. Covered in this book: - Body Language- Breeding- Buying- Characteristics- Classification- Costs- Daily care- Feeding- Fighting- General facts- Health- Housing- Origin- Personality.... and much more.

In the New York Times bestselling Lost Fleet series, author Jack Campbell has taken readers and Captain Black Jack Geary on a fast-paced journey of conquest across vast reaches of space. Now, in the three novellas contained in Swords and Saddles, first in a series of short fiction collections from Jack Campbell, readers can explore the entire universe of Campbell's fiction. A new author's note accompanies each story.Begin by entering "The Rift." Answering a distress call from a colonized planet, a combat team finds themselves ambushed. They manage to scrabble their way to a remote research facility in the countryside, joining a group of schoolchildren that have holed up with the researchers -- three groups united in fear that their lives will last only as long as they can avoid discovery by the aliens that have come to their planet. When the aliens do come, it becomes clear that despite all the years of research, the humans' understanding of the aliens is woefully incomplete."Swords and Saddles" is one of several alternate history stories that Jack Campbell has written. When lightning strikes Captain Ulysses Benton and his US Cavalry Fifth Regiment, they recover to find an ancient structure in the desert that they've never seen before -- and writing in a language none of them recognize. When the next find themselves skirmishing with soldiers wearing armor more appropriate to Roman centurions than 1870s Kansas, it becomes clear that wherever it is they are, it isn't Kansas. But where are they, then? And how do they make their way home? The Lost Fleet isn't the only Jack Campbell series full of outer space intrigue. "Failure to Obey" is a novella in his Paul Sinclair series. When Lieutenant Jen Shen saves the day after a terrorist attack on a space station, she gets a medal, but Ivan Sharpe, a fellow officer and Paul's former master-at-arms, gets a court martial. In a classic court martial scene that rivals the best in American literature, Paul has to work behind the scenes to save Ivan's military career.

In these seven contemporary fantasies from Tanya Huff, we see a dog's eye view of loyalty and a cat's eye view of sea serpents. We learn that some Brownies could use a shave - although cookies will still be sold - and that there are at least two sides to every relationship, no matter how accidental and/or mythical that relationship is. We're also reminded that however worthwhile it may be to die with purpose, it's better to live well. Huff's ability to leaven heartache with humour - and vise versa - gives this collection of previously published stories an unexpected emotional variety.A December release, He Said, Sidhe Said also includes the seasonally appropriate "I'll be Home for Christmas."

The thrilling conclusion to Tim Akers' hard-boiled steampunk-noir series, The Burn Cycle. The city of Veridon used Jacob Burn horribly. The Council, the Church, even his family betrayed his trust, and still Burn risked everything to save their lives. For his sacrifice, he lost his tenuous ties to lawful society, his place in the criminal underworld, and the only woman he ever loved. Now, to survive, Burn runs small-time jobs, like his latest gig, delivering a seemingly innocuous package to the Fehn. The Fehn are a symbiotic race that live under the murky Reine River, colonizing any body that slips beneath its dark waters. Although unsettling to see, the Fehn dwell peacefully below Veridon. But moments after Burn makes his delivery, swarms of dead Fehn clog the Reine. More terrifying are the horde of pearl-white cogdead Fehn who still walk, crawling out of the river to violently ransack the city.Once again, Burn is responsible for Veridon's survival, and the Fehn are just one of many threats the city suddenly faces-old adversaries have returned, defunct factions resurfaced, and ancient feuds reignited. Behind it all, an enigmatic foreigner manipulates Veridon's leaders toward a goal that would destroy Veridon and tear asunder the very essence of life. Burn thought he had nothing to lose, but protecting Veridon could cost him the one thing he has left... his life.

In "Hidden Treasures," we journey through fields of poverty and fatherless homes to stabbings on the streets and in inner city schools, to the hospital, to courts and prison cells, to recovery homes and back around again until, one by one, gang members finally wear themselves out - and their families - and invite God into their lives. You'll meet Pastor Jesús Sandoval, who'd been stabbed and shot by age 16, each year watching friends go to prison or their graves. You'll read about Arthur Soriano who could have been a heroic firefighter but instead battled crystal meth addiction and went to prison after a street shooting in San Diego. You'll also read mothers' stories who fervently prayed for their children for years before witnessing change, as well as young sisters who longed to see their brother only to meet him in cuffs and chains. The key to transformation is in families and communities. At weekly gatherings, this group now teaches people how to "wrap around" each other and keep kids out of a gang culture that is sometimes generational. People formerly in "the life" now work alongside the Probation Department, law enforcement, churches, schools, a local university and a multitude of non-profit organizations to intervene and educate others. Get your tissues ready. This is a deeply moving set of stories that will break your heart and spur you to start a movement in your own neighborhood. We all wonder about the same universal questions. As you ponder, with these writers, about the purpose of life, you may be brought to your own knees and healing too.

It was a bit puzzling, that Chief Inspector Acton hadn't mentioned the body they'd discovered in the burnt-out church, even though he must have known that Doyle would find it of great interest. Was the arsonist caught up in her own fire, or was there a deeper, more sinister tale told by the blackened rubble? Although she was sidelined on maternity leave, Detective Sergeant Kathleen Doyle was fast coming to the realization that her husband hadn't told her, because he was masterminding some scheme-a scheme that may-or-may-not involve arson, blood money, and the ducks of St. Petersburg.

This collection of original quotes and poems focuses on common issues in human pursuits. It is the fourth entry in the six-volume Knowing series, which includes Live Knowing Life, Love Knowing Love, Pine Knowing Pain, Shine Knowing Shame, Climb Knowing Aim, and Knowing Won't Let Darkness Reign. All parts of the series and their contents can be read without a particular sequence or pacing.Like my other works, this book does not claim indisputable wisdom. It offers crystallization points for readers' thoughts and emotions to help them delve into what matters to them and find motivation and understanding for a good life.Helping readers in their discovery and pursuit of happiness is also the intent of my main work, Philosophy of Happiness, which systematically surveys human conditions to empower readers in developing their own responses. The Knowing series books can therefore be introductory or illustrative companions to Philosophy of Happiness. But they can also be sampled on their own for inspiration - or just diversion and entertainment for now to maybe be revisited for deeper reflection some other time. Either way, they do not presume any background in philosophy. This makes them ideal starters for readers trying to figure out their life with the support of philosophical consideration.
