Katey Keith never expected to marry so young. She also never expected to be pregnant, or the first female loup-garou-werewolf-to give birth in thousands of years. As the embodiment of a Spirit of Peace, Katey's carrying more than just her precious babies. She's also carrying the future of her race. Her husband is doing what he can to help, but he has his own troubles. What does Logan Keith know about being a father? He's never had a good example in his life. And babies cost a lot of money. Logan's doing whatever it takes to support his family, even if his sometimes dangerous jobs ignite clashes with Katey. Then Katey and Logan, along with their pack, are summoned to an ancient castle carved into the snowy mountains in Switzerland. The council is meeting for the first time since the great Arnathian civilization fell apart due to the feud between werewolves and vampires. Can these two races make peace after spending centuries at war with one another? Katey's supposed to be a great figurehead for the proceedings, but what does she know about politics or negotiating peace? But after an assassination attempt, one thing is clear. The Dhammapada is one of the great books of the Buddha's teachings. The 423 passages are taken from the various teachings or suttas and represent the core teachings and principles of the Buddha. The collection was assembled probably in the third to fifth centuries CE and contains a number of verses that are organized by category. The passages are taken from longer works - various Buddhist parables - and represent the very core of a specific lesson. This is an excellent starting point for anyone interested in exploring Buddhism and learning more about the practice, but it also enumerates enough great lessons to keep the practiced adherent engaged. The small lessons are derived from the original collection of teachings the Buddha delivered. In this way, The Dhammapada serves as a handy compendium of the Buddha's teachings, all the good stuff in one package.

The Regius Poem, also known as the Halliwell Manuscript, is a long series of rhyming couplets that make up what is thought to be the earliest of the Old Charges of Masonry. It was discovered in the British Museum by James O. Halliwell in 1838. While sometimes thought to have been written during the reign of King Athelstan (924-940 A.D.), the document actually dates to the late 14th century. Whether it is a derivative work based on a separate manuscript from Athelstan's time is unknown. However, the Regius Poem is the cornerstone of the Legend of York, which is important in Masonry even today. This manuscript also outlines how Masons should act toward each other and toward the civil magistrate. It also talks about the history and philosophy of the order of Masons. Any Mason interested in the history of the Art should read this document and see how it compares to the various rules their grand lodges lay out for government of a lodge.

Li'l Hat & Hold Still are two interrelated plays on the loss of self in an intimate relationship, the fear it arouses, and the desperate attempts to keep the inexorable at bay without foreclosing on the last-perhaps only-mutually consenting intimacy one has known. This, while not forfeiting one's privilege-which may indeed be a right-to ongoing consent, arguably the final value by which human dignity is exercisable and thereby recognizable to oneself and to others. When the cost of No or Stop fluctuates too high, and Yes seems out of the question, one is left to one's own primitive resources to move forward. That is to say one is alone and trapped. In Li'l Hat, a couple struggles to kindle a dormant connection through a meaningless act of physical intimacy, the pursuit of which is violent for its relentlessness. Only when all hope appears to have been shattered do they find their connection. In Hold Still an act of grooming between a couple becomes an imaginary nightmare of voyeurism and vulnerability that must be transformed into destructive reality for it to end.
