Victim, survivor, and warrior in that order. This is her story. The story of how she was made to be a victim. Over time, she understood that she is a survivor then worked hard to become a warrior. Domestic violence, abuse, rape, or any tragic event is so common that it is almost as if we have normalized it as simply a part of life. She was a whole person once, but every time something happened, it took a piece of her that she will never get back, so now, she stands before you a broken person but a broken person who is determined to make a change, help, or at least make some kinda impact. This book is dedicated to all the victims and to all the survivors. May we all one day be warriors. You are not alone.

Clarity or specifically the ology of game, until this point, has been, to say the least, vague and ambiguous. This writing clarifies the principle of game. In addition, it also puts the ology behind it. The introduction of truly unique character concepts, defense mechanisms and counter mechanisms, thought processes, and definitive points of great wisdom are just pages away. The contents contained within these volumes are so dynamic that the writers will hopefully inspire a new subgenre entitled nonfiction (perspectival, influential observations). And on that, please believe that the writers' lives are more enriched with the benefit of game.

Each short story is based on actual events in Sunny's life with me. She wandered up to my home on a sunny Sunday in December of 2021; my little dog, Peebs Jubilee, actually found her. Although it would have been impossible for them to know each other, they appeared to be friends immediately. The first moment I looked into Sunny's eyes, I knew she was a very special little kitten. She was very small and thin, and I knew she needed a home. My youngest daughter, Taylor (TayTay), and her boyfriend, Nick, have cats. I knew they would have food and any supplies I would need. They came to Sunny's rescue with food, kitty supplies, toys, and a cat castle. Sunny is full of life. She is healthy and happy and very much loved. I have attempted to write each story from Sunny's point of view, hoping to capture the fun-loving, free spirit that she is. I hope you enjoy reading the stories as much as I have enjoyed writing them. I look forward to sharing additional stories of Sunny's adventures with everyone, and I am sure that Sunny is looking forward to creating the adventures. Sunny's stories are written for everyone who ever loved a pet, everyone who ever wanted a pet, and anyone who wants to know what life is like with a pet.Sunny has dedicated this book to a wonderful, loving, and very special little dog Peebs Jubilee and everyone who has ever loved a pet.

You've spent the first twelve years of your child's life guiding, disciplining, and playing, only to transition into the teenage years where you feel like none of this mattered. It does matter! The teenage years can be a struggle for most parents because trying to connect with your teenager as a parent can feel hopeless at times. Trying to understand your teen's logic, choices, and actions is more than a full-time job; it is a commitment to chaos and hoping you come out alive when it is all over. This book is meant to provide helpful information, tips, and guidance so that you don't dread the teen years. We believe that you can live and thrive in your relationship together and see your teen become the adult they are meant to be.We focus on some key aspects of a relationship, our THRIVE model, to give you tools to enhance the time you have with your teen.* Trust--Building trust means being honest with yourself and your teen. It's being consistent in your reactions and clear with your expectations. It means following through every time.* Heal--To heal your family, you must understand the whole system. It is understanding your struggle, separate and in conjunction, with your teen. It is finding the humility to be weak and imperfect and then accepting the imperfectness of it all. It is being courageous enough to implement change.* Respect--To have respect, it must be mutual. Loving your teen for who they are, speaking honestly, and using a kind tone model the kind of respect you would want from them. Respect can also be defined as respecting yourself and who you are as a parent--knowing your strengths and understanding when you need to ask for help.* Invite--This is the core of collaboration. Inviting your teen to participate with you.* Validate--Validating that everyone has their own set of emotions that have value is very impactful for the family system. Honoring those feelings and listening to each other will build relationships and create healthy adults.* Enjoy--Have fun! Enjoy your family. Enjoy your teen.

Having lived through hard times caused by the Second World War and through our tenacity overcoming these depressing times, I am disturbed to find out that after coming to America, the Land of the Free, we are reliving our past. Although we still have a nice roof over our heads and good food on the table, there is a large population neglected through political disagreements and a lack of acceptance that all men are created equal!

As a lucid, easily readable, and objective legal exposition, Rev. Matthew Iwuji's Marriage Form in Nigeria becomes an important channel for the knowledge of the legal requirements for a valid contract of marriage in Nigeria, and it is a valuable contribution to the development and clarification of Nigerian family law.The author limits his investigations and exclusively furnishes facts on the formalities surrounding the marriage relationship in that country. Prof. Jose CastanoFaculty of LawPont. Lateran University, Rome.*****Marriage Form in Nigeria, as a classic comparative legal study, provides very useful insight into the most fundamental issue of marriage in Nigeria in an age of intercultural marriages. It is a book for everyone: parents, young people, pastors who seek to establish freedom to marry, and law students and those interested in Nigerian family law.Prof. Guiseppe DamiziaFaculty of LawPont. What would you say if the Holy Quran turned out to contain components consistent with Zionism? What if the Quran in its very philological content blesses and encourages the Jews to live in the land of Israel? What if billions of Muslims were to be made aware of the clearly "pro-Zionist" verses in the Quran and were to alter their worldview to welcome the Jews in their ancestral homeland? One of them is Sura Al-Ma'ida 5:21, which has a striking significance as a powerful command from Allah, as interpreted by the renowned Muslim exegetes, including Al-Tabari. On the other hand, the examining of the status of al-Aqsa Mosque being the third-holiest site in the Muslim world, as well as the status of the city of Jerusalem from Muslims' and Jews' viewpoint, would reveal fully new perspectives. Ever since 1937, there have been multiple attempts to resolve the Arab-Jewish conflict to no avail. The hidden religious aspect of the conflict has been generally neglected by the parties. Accordingly, the Muslim world is often subjected to provocation by zealous clerics and politicians who implement anti-Jewish propaganda, including the misinterpretation of the Quranic verses. This book will tackle on the very sensitive topics alluded above and should serve as an eye-opener for Muslim politicians, traditional clerics, Muslims in general and the interested Westerners.. The welldocumented accuracy and authenticity of the quoted facts render them beyond malicious interpretation.

When I was in rehab, I mentioned to a counselor that I was an aspiring writer. She suggested I write a memoir and specifically suggested I include details about rehab and recovery; she said, "There are tons of books about addiction and tons of self-help books about recovery, but not very many memoirs written by addicts that share their journey through recovery."At three years sober, someone close to me said, "You've been able to help yourself, and that's good, but good people help themselves, and great people help other people. If you could find a way to tell your story, that would be great."My book describes the personality traits and character defects that began my journey into drug and alcohol abuse, the gradual decline of my mental and physical health over fifteen years of addiction and over a decade of recovery. It also describes the process of finding a home group in twelve-step programs and finding a sponsor, both of which I feel are integral to success in the transition from early to long-term recovery, and I describe the reintegration process with both my spouse and my immediate family. My story needs to be told because it's a bit less exorbitant and appalling than other popular stories and different from the way addicts are typically portrayed in movies and television. Most addicts are not homeless, jobless, and friendless; they are quietly imploding at the behest of those closest to them and unbeknownst to nearly everyone else. We, as a society, are moving into an era of awareness and action regarding mental health; it's finally okay to admit we need help. However, many addicts and alcoholics use a worst-case scenario as a metric for the progression of their illness and convince themselves they need not pursue solutions to their addiction and mental health, often until it's too late. I hope if they hear a middle-of-the-road, white-collar journey like mine, they will proactively take action to save themselves, their marriages, and their relationships with their children and their families before the consequences become so dire that they lose them entirely.

A catalyst is something or someone that provokes significant change. A trauma is a catalyst. The change--whether physical, emotional, spiritual, or all three--doesn't happen immediately. The change is a journey with side steps and detours along the way. The only hard and fast rule is that you can't go back to who you were before. This is the story of Carrie Rickert's journey of change after such a catalyst. Her life-threatening accident and related complications started her down this path of examining what was, what is, and what could be. Most importantly, though, this is a story of hope, of possibility, of embracing the fight to become something new. This path has been filled with craters and dips, pivots and weird circles, and a lot of it has been completely terrible. If she had an option, she wouldn't go back. She wouldn't trade who she is now and who she is going to become. Join Carrie on this journey of life's ups and downs and let her words, her perspective, and her humor about it all inspire you to be grateful for the catalysts in your life.

Jesus Christ sends a text to the cellphone of Christopher Immanuel, a thirty-eight-year-old gay architect living in New York City. He invites Christopher to take his place as the next Messiah. Christopher balks at first, but Jesus explains how God and the Virgin Mary have also agreed that Christopher should succeed Jesus as the living Messiah in the year 2022. They have been following Christopher (who was raised Greek Orthodox) ever since he was a little boy, and he is the only person they trust with the gifts and abilities of a real living Messiah. Christopher finally accepts the position, and Jesus continues to groom him in several long calls for his role (and career change) from architect to the Son of Man.

The synopsis of the book is about a boy named Christopher Stephens, who is the protagonist of this story and is being sued by Malcolm X High School for holding illegal narcotics in his locker. Chris in the story believes that he is being framed for this incident because he has no memory of doing this heinous act, but he has no evidence to prove it wasn't him. The punishment that Chris would have to endure is ten years of juvenile detention. They all came up with a plan to break out of the detention center, and they are hoping that they can get Chris's help. They are able to break him out of the padded room and get him to help, especially since they leaked information on who put him in this detention center in the first place. Chris realizes that he was framed by his closest friend, Greg. That makes Chris angry, to the point that he wants to exact revenge against Greg. Chris and his gang are able to break out, and they all go their separate ways. Chris accomplishes his goal in escaping the juvenile detention center, but now his next goal is to get even with his friend Greg, which would also lead to Chris's own death.

Physicists tell us that the past and future exist at the same time as the present. They are simply found in different parts of the universe's four-dimensional fabric called space-time. The author, utilizing her journals from the time she was ten, imagines traveling around in space-time.Her baby boomer generation was the first generation where women on a large scale did the near-impossible juggling act of raising children while working outside the home. She travels in space-time to tell the story of her struggle to obtain a college education and a career while raising three children as a single mother. It is a story of liberation, spiritual epiphany, and how her hero, Jack London, shaped her life. Jack London, in his semibiography, Martin Eden, influenced not only her quest for adventure but also the professor she fell in love with.He seemed familiar to her, with his unkempt curls, deep-set eyes, and his poor-boy, blue-collar upbringing. He was Martin Eden in the flesh. "I really want to be a writer," he told the class and, then, with a laugh, added, "I already have the drinking part down."

It was that very, very cold night in December that would change my life. I was very young, yet even at five years old, I had always dreamed of attending college and receiving my degree. One obstacle stood in my way--poverty. We were dirt poor. I sadly watched constantly my illiterate father drown himself in alcohol. Not once did he ever have that father-to-son talk. Not once did he say to us that he loved or cared for us. Yet, on the other hand, God gave to us our hard-working Christian mother, a woman who was the opposite of our father, a woman who prayed to God every night, praying and showing just how much she truly loved her sons. Every day of my life, I often thought about where my footsteps would lead me. Here I was constantly surrounded by poverty, violence, and racism. Would I end up hanging on some street living in poverty or, worse, dead? That one question that constantly haunted me with every footstep I took was simply, "How would I survive in this world without my mother? How could I live without you?"
