"Todd Cirillo is the best American poet hammering out clean, honest lines. His newest book KISSES FROM A STRAIGHT RAZOR represents poetry without smoke and mirrors, stripped down to its barest essentials-where everyday, ordinary language is transformed into high art. This book is a line drawn in the sand, a declaration of war, a benchmark of where modern poetry stands. Forget Charles Bukowski-have you read poetry by Todd Cirillo?" -Wolfgang Carstens, Epic Rites Press

  • av Rob Plath
    167,-

If Rob Plath's critically acclaimed 300 page collection A Bellyful of Anarchy was the monster, and his follow-up book There's A Fist Dunked In Blood Beating In My Chest was the bride, My Soul Is A Broken Down Valise is the bastard child of this unholy union. Here, Plath forges new ground in clean, concise lines and demonstrates why he has been called the father of modern poetry.

  • av Matt Amott
    152,-

These poems are sincere and simple. They evoke the same feeling as reading a postcard or slowly flipping through an old photo album. These are poems of bars, bikinis, backpacking, break-ups, best friends, and beauty. Of seasons and search for companionship, speedy getaways and summer crushes, whiskey shots and twelve hour shifts. Memories we cannot forget. It is refreshing to read a poet who doesn?t want to con-fuse, condescend, lecture or pontificate through poetry. Poems that are not written for nominations or awards?but for the heart. This collection is meant to be read, passed around, talked about and sent to your best friends; to be shared. Matt strives to be nothing more than clear and honest with the reader. He sips his drink slowly and appreciates the moment; before, during and in the aftermath. This is the gift of a good poet. Matt?s poems in The Memory of Her bring to life the sim-ple pleasures and slight pains that life and poetry present us.

"BASH THE KEYS UNTIL THEY SCREAM is a goddamned bombshell. Each poem I dug in. Hooked. Like being slapped in the face. I am simultaneously dissapointed and relieved that I am incapable of this level of honesty in my writing (or life)." -Robert Hanson, Poems-For-All

"John Yamrus is a master of short form poetry. After reading this new collection of poems, I wasn't surprised that every single poem in this book was as good, if not better, than anything I've read by him in the past." -Charles Joseph, Indigent Press "John Yamrus is a reader's writer whose poems are built from one honest line after another. I ADMIT NOTHING, again and again, captures the profundity within the everyday trials and triumphs that make up a life. A wholly accessible book; fierce, friendly, urgent, optimistic and long lasting." -Matthew J. Hall, Screaming With Brevity "In a world full of those who call themselves poets and pussyfoot around with clever linguistic tricks, John Yamrus stands out like a bloodied hunk of bone-sparing of the word and using just what is needed to get to the core, his poems cut deep to the heart of what matters challenging the reader and poetry itself to face the truth." -Adrian Manning, Concrete Meat Press
