This is Dr. Crane''s third book about the importance of the work of a preacher of the Gospel. With the serious decline of morality and the crumbling of our culture, America must find a remedy. That cure is the gospel of Jesus Christ. This book illustrates how eternally important and exciting preaching the gospel is. In this book the young preacher continues his education at Lincoln Christian Seminary in Lincoln, Illinois, while ministering to the First Christian Church of Moweaqua, Illinois. These stories are all true. You will be entertained, possibly laugh, maybe cry, and maybe sometimes need a tissue. You will see him ministering in the Bible belt to a congregation of about 800 in a small village of 1,500 people. You will go to class with him and see why seminary education is so valuable in ministerial training. You will travel across the Midwest and foreign countries as God uses him to teach and preach, even while in seminary. Some names have been changed to protect people''s privacy, and events are told as best he recalls them from so long ago. The picture below is of the sanctuary of the First Christian Church of Moweaqua.

That cure is the gospel of Jesus Christ. This book illustrates how exciting and eternally important preaching is. In this book you will go with a young, novice preacher, as he ministers in Salt Lake City. These stories are all true. You will be entertained, will laugh, cry, and sometimes even need a tissue. You will observe how a small church with 42 members grew strong, blessing the entire Intermountain West and beyond. You will see how different Salt Lake City is in reality, than how it is often portrayed. These stories illustrate two things: God still uses people who are willing, and that preaching is still one of life’s most exciting and important works.

Completely revised and updated. The Bible and Mormon Scriptures Compared gives you an easy-to-follow, concise, nonjudgmental answer to the questions, How do The Bible and Mormon Scriptures compare? Are they equally reliable? I was born and raised in a community in Oregon that had been settled by Mormons, and later lived in Salt Lake City. My friends and neighbors were Latter-day Saints. I was given a Book of Mormon by a neighbor. He asked that I read it, pray about it, and said that God would give me a burning in my bosom that it was true. Each evening as I went to bed, I got on my knees and prayed that God would show me the truth. I was thirteen years old. Glaring inconsistencies bothered me, which I discussed with this very fine neighbor. The result was not me becoming LDS, but him becoming a Christian and a strong Christian leader. For sixty-five years I have continued to study with LDS missionaries, church apologists, and friends. Many have found the freedom that comes from knowing Christ. This book was forged in the fires of experience. It is the approach that has proven most effective. This is the third revision of this book, which has been out of print since 1983. I heartily recommend it for LDS friends, neighbors, and family members. It is a must read for all Christians who have questions about the Mormon faith. Dr. Charles A. Crane
Based on Luke 1:26-35; 2:1-20 this book was written for people to know the truth about Christmas and why this blessed day is celebrated. We wanted people to see and understand Christmas from a biblical perspective.
With evocative, fresh dialogue, mixed with humor and real-life stories, Fire Song invites us to discover our purpose and place in the ancient, unfolding drama we find ourselves in-the story that began in Eden, and defines who we are and what it means to be human. Most of us feel disconnected from this story, as if we've been set adrift and donʼt know the way home. But we retain a memory, however faint, of the way we were and ought to be-but no longer are. Like the echo of a melody we never learned but once knew by heart, the ancient story burns within us and beckons us to sing again. Fire Song asks us to consult our intuitions, common sense and intellect to consider the existence of God, the nature of creation, the reality of the soul and the purpose of life, in addition to questions surrounding the possibility of historical knowledge and Biblical authority, the problem of evil, person of Jesus and what it means to be human. The result is a disarming but compelling invitation to find Jesus at the center of our story as the best example of humanity, and our only hope of living like full human beings again.
Much has been accomplished thus far in our journey towards becoming a man. But, that deep desire within to press further and harder, go somewhere no one else has, or do something nobody has ever done, be that person, that guy, the one that everyone is attracted to...... The one we all gravitate toward. THE GO TO GUY The guy who seems to have made the right decision at the right time. The one we call for support, who we desire to adventure with. The Go-to guy is on the road less travelled. This book was never intended to give a road map or some step-by-step guide to becoming a Go-to guy. It is designed to inspire you, motivate you, and keep you moving. My prayer is that you will see all you are in Christ. That you will rise up to be the man God destined you to be.
