This book sets out to answer common questions regarding dyslexia. It should prove to be a valuable source of reference for adult students with dyslexia as well as for their tutors and lecturers. Dyslexia has traditionally been controversial with many different definitions and explanations of its origin. The situation today has changed radically. There is now genetic and biological evidence for the existence of dyslexia and this research is outlined in the book. As a result of the burgeoning research dyslexia has now become an official category of disability. Consequently, most adult students with dyslexia receive appropriate practical and emotional support with many achieving highly in academia.
