Drawing Your Line: Setting Boundaries Step-by-Step is a manual for developing the self-respect and empowerment that ultimately allows for the setting of healthy boundaries in various arenas of life. This process involves learning to find, respect, and use your voice to take control of your life. Inspired by their work as life coaches working with women, the authors share their personal successes and failures with setting boundaries to inspire you to make healthy changes in your own life. Chock-full of helpful reflection questions to elicit real growth and self-awareness, this book guides you through a "coaching" experience to help you understand where your boundary tendencies come from and how to make healthy shifts toward a life of freedom and peace. Setting boundaries is not an act of aggression, but rather, an act of self-empowerment through self-love.

The title of this book, I May Smell Like Bacon But I Haven't Oinked Yet, speaks to the resiliency of Richard Allen Warner, Captain USMC (ret.).The Marine Corps motto: Semper Fidelis (always faithful) attests to the character of this man. And the three core values of the Marine Corps: Honor, Courage, and Commitment exemplify his life.HONOR: Discipline at an early age set the stage for his accomplishments. Obeying and honoring his parents were paramount. "Please Mom. I won't do it again!" he pleaded. "That's the purpose of this whipping!" she affirmed. "How dare you give your mother THE LOOK!" his dad fumed. "You're going to the basement with me!"COURAGE: Richard's first step in this direction occurred when he defied his mother. "Well, I've been thinking about joining the Navy." "Listen hear young man! I've told you several times that you are going to college!" "No Mom, I've made up my mind!"COMMITMENT: Richard was committed to his military service and his family. In the summer of 1970, he took his family westward from Florida on an educational tour to visit the Western States' Capitals.
The Trusting Pup is a story to help children find peace in Jesus and to take the first steps in trusting Him through life's ups and downs, written through the Holy Spirit with a genuine love for children. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me" (Matthew 19:14)

Our children progress from babies to adults in the blink of an eye, and we as parents are left wondering, "How did that happen?" With humor and biblical insights harvested from years of military travel, ministry, and raising two boys, author Kathy Woodbury reveals candid truths she has captured during the process of cultivating babies to adults. From a transparent glimpse of life in an imperfect family, readers are able to identify with this entertaining question: How Did They Get Taller Than Me? Each chapter proposes delightful and biblical encouragement in the formation of baby to adult. We study our children, we enjoy our children, we fight for our children, and we give our children to the One who knows HOW to make them who they are to be. In the end, our faith answers the question: How Did They Get Taller Than Me?
The wonder of poetry can be found in its simplicity. Each phrase is easy for the reader to comprehend. Words are properly selected and then composed in a rhythmic manner to convey a special meaning. In God's Glorious Design, the emphasis is placed on God's miracle of creation. Scenes from nature are depicted to secure the attention of the reader, and then the author closes with a verse that brings everything into perspective. We are reminded that God is in control of every aspect of our lives. The world has changed in so many ways since the day Christ died on the cross for our sins, but the truth found in the resurrection story will never change. For those who believe and accept Christ as their Savior, there is the promise of everlasting life and peace. For those who continue to search for the truth, there is still hope. If you are lost, as I was thirty years ago, surrender your life to God, just as you are; He is waiting for you, with open arms, to bring you into His fold.

As a lay evangelist at Antioch Baptist Church, 828 Greene Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11221 (overseer pastor, Dr. Robert M. Waterman), one Wednesday night while teaching children Bible study, one of my eight-year-old students asked me pertinent questions; thus, I wrote it down: if God created everything, then who created God?Ushered by the Holy Spirit, thus began my endeavor to answer this question using the ascribed medium (the book) and form the Lord would lead me to use. I am sure that there are many types of Timothies out there with many more questions. As a teacher and writer of young minds in the kingdom of God, my assignment is to provide a platform and biblically related answer to the Timothies of this world.
As often as she could, my mother would take my brothers and me to church. That was the greatest gift she ever gave to us. However, betrayal from both my parents spun me into a vortex of not knowing whether or not God was real. Some days, I was full of faith; others, full of doubt. I was furious with God, so I built a wall that was too high and thick for even Him to break through. As I've recovered from my childhood trauma, and with God's help, I've defeated hopelessness and forgiven my tormentors. I now see that God has, from the beginning, been in my life.

Some families, it appears, cruise serenely through life with very little turmoil and tragedy while some others experience a host of disasters and catastrophes as their story unfolds. It is for these that the author has written. She and her family have lived through many tragedies; it seems that they are either just getting over some upheaval, or they are heading into one, but there have been some very joyous times for her as well. Perhaps the mountaintops have been higher because of the valleys.Even now, as these words are written, there is illness and worry going on, but with faith in God and hope always in her heart, the joy of living remains. Thanks be to God.
My Name is Tommie: My Story of Hydrocephalus is a simple teaching tool I used to support my son in his understanding of his hydrocephalus. I used it to expose him to different techniques to navigate through life, while embracing his uniqueness created by God in a simple story. Here are some facts about children with hydrocephalus:33% have visual impairments, 35% live with seizures, 27% have cerebral palsy. Hydrocephalus is the most common reason for brain surgery in children. (Hydrocephalus Association, February 2018)

How big is your God? Have you ever come face to face with a Holy God? Have you ever considered what would happen to you if you did? Do you consider yourself to be "messed up, missing the mark, lacking, or a failure?" Do you deal with memories that haunt you due to regret, unforgiveness, or PTSD? Or do you think that you are "all that" or "God's gift to this world?" Well, this book will address these topics and more! Karen was an 18-year-old rape victim with a "don't mess with me" attitude. She had a reputation - one where people would say, "Hey, you don't want to mess with that girl, she will drink you under the table, she will cuss you like a sailor, she will fight you until she draws blood, and she will cut you up with her words and spit you out!" This is the "tough-girl baggage" that Karen brought with her when she began her corporate career as the traffic manager of a subsidiary of the largest maritime shipping company in the United States. Despite growing up in that waterfront industry and having the tenacity, disciplines and skills to handle the public relations and manage thousands of tons of cargo moving internationally and locally, she struggled with having that same drive to manage her own personal life.Through this time Karen occasionally thought of crying out to God for help, but she presumed Him to be dis-interested in her plight and most likely a wimp compared to the enormity of her crisis. Then one night, she read a book that was mysteriously delivered to her house. This book, "Power for Living," contained testimonies of corporate high rollers, sports icons and managers like her but who had surrendered their lives over to the Lord and had been blessed in doing so. After considering what she had read, she began to pray the prayer of commitment to Jesus that was recorded in the back of the book, but she added one additional request of God. She defiantly demanded that He prove to her that He was tougher than she was because she refused to serve a wimpy God. Well, God accepted her challenge that night and what He revealed to her is what she is passionate to share with all. Karen's ministry began as she used the gifts and knowledge she received from God to speak His prophetic truths into people's lives. Most come away experiencing joy and peace, being delivered from what had kept them in fear, unforgiveness, or bound to their past. When teaching, Karen has an uncanny way of pressing against those dark places in your character, worldview, or behaviors that many have adopted as their "comfort zone," or "I just can't change" places. By skillfully using stories, scriptures and questions, these truths will challenge you to see "yourself" as God sees you and guide you to receive His deliverance from what torments you. Are you ready to live life differently, to see God differently, and to take off your mask and keep it off? Then get ready to experience freedom and intimacy with a Holy God as you learn how to "face the darkness within you."
A candid and insightful guide for the average person to find their own success by identifying and maneuvering through the mental obstacles of everyday life. The author hopes to show the reader through vicarious examples that hope is never lost in this often negative and difficult world we live in.

Through this, the Holy Spirit will speak to you and draw you closer to God and to the mission of the Gospel: to love God more and to love others more.
Underneath the Green Canopy was inspired by an actual old farmhouse built in Lincoln County, North Carolina, sometime around the late 1700s or early 1800s. All of the events are centered around Denver, North Carolina. The house is still a beautiful and a magnificent looking home today. The book is all fictional with some actual events, times, places, and figures. Most importantly it is good clean entertainment reading with most of the wording in easy readable form. It will not challenge one's mind with a lot of unusual words.A mystery story at the beginning and will not be mentioned again until the mystery is solved at the end of the book. The White Oak Farm story will take you back five generations of the Stone family starting with the first Thomas McCoy Stone in the late 1700s that borrowed money to start his farm. He went on to be one of the early United States Senator that helped with the farming community throughout the country. It talks about farming, horse farming, slavery, Civil War, dairy farming, gold rush, oil discovery, new technology of the day, World War I, Depression era, and touches on World War II. The following are only a few of the many adventures that have occurred as I either worked on my house, hiked, hunted, or fished in the wilderness along Lake Superior. I have tried to include many different animals and landscapes so you can get an idea of what you may run into if you spend too much time here. I found it as a great escape from the hassles of modern life and also some good adventures. In greedy gut, I tried to show how caught up in the moment you can get, and the trouble that can follow if you push the limits of time and distance. It doesn't matter how many times you have covered it before. Weather conditions change a lot from summer to fall, and daylight time is vastly different also. Of course you usually have to learn the hard way.At other times, I have tried to emphasize that we humans are just visitors in the critters domain and that we are nothing special in their limited space, as in porkies rule, the opportunist and the spooky woods.I added a few stories of just trying to get by and how complicated it can become such as in the visitor who just dropped in and the siege.I also added our three dogs and one cat that became part of our family. I tried to show how each one adapted to the wilderness and interacted with the wild animals all around them.
