I pray this book finds you in time. There may not be much left. Whoever gave it to you must really love you. If you found this book discarded, pray you don't make the same mistake as the last poor soul who threw it away.If I were you, I would open it up and give it a chance. I genuinely believe this may be the second most important book you ever read. You never know, it might just change your life.
Author Candice Gaddy shares her upbringing in a Christian single-parent home only later to realize she never really knew God for herself. In this true-life story, it took her losing everything, coming close to death multiple times, literally losing her mind with a stroke/brain hemorrhage to learn to trust God and the process of healing! Every new phase in life you must heal from the prior to be ready for the new level. The reader will not only hear from real-life experiences but understand from true biblical references how we are equipped to turn every battle scar into a weapon to defeat the enemy. There is no season of healing you cannot overcome whether financial, physical, mental, or emotional. Natural remedy doctors will tell you that often the best medicine is natural or just simply allowing the body to heal. As you read, sit still and "know that I am God" is what he is trying to tell you during your healing uncertainty!
This book is about having a successful family. I have raised three daughters who are doing well for themselves. They all have successful jobs and families. We created an atmosphere for learning by using the principles of God's Word. When we learn to apply the Word of God to our daily lives, it allows our children to excel in the home as well as school. This is a book to help parents teach their children to apply God's Word to their daily life and become successful. It was a struggle at first, but with the struggles came the success. I felt compelled to write this book to help parents who are struggling. I worked in a school system for eighteen years and have seen the struggles parents have every day. Not only did I see the struggles in the schools as a pastor for the past sixteen years but also those struggles are becoming more and more for parents. I feel God didn't intend on us failing as parents, and that's why I wanted to share some of my convictions and concerns on how to be successful.
Once upon a time, I didn't believe everything was going to be all right, but now I do. I believe we are going to be all right--Mom and me. We've found two friends: Jesus and Ophelia. I can't begin to tell you how special they are to us. Through Ophelia, we found Jesus. She told us that Jesus said, "I'll never leave you nor forsake you. I will be with you even to the end of time." Thinking about and looking back at what we have gone through and still have to go through, I believe he is going to be with us.
This book contains inspirational prose and poetry meant to encourage and uplift. I write from the heart with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We have had a creative partnership for many years. I write for the lost or broken souls to show them they are not alone. We are all on a journey and should encourage each other daily.

It's simply wonderful to know that our Father who is in heaven loves us with our struggling obedience and to know He is still very much in control over all things and matters on this planet earth. Page | 2I have been the recipient of a treasure chest of family heirlooms. There are old pictures, poems, genealogies, and stories. Because past generations were so faithful to preserve their family history, I felt compelled to preserve their "e;footprints."e; My favorite heirloom is a metal crest that dates back to the 1200s. The stamp reveals a bird with writing in the Welsh language which, when translated, reads, "e;Faith in God makes all things right."e; I have several unique things that the book contains, such as a contract with the Indians for land and a Civil War diary written by my great-grandfather. There are newspapers dated March of 1863 offering a bounty of $20,000 for the head of Lincoln. Poems were written by my grandmother depicting the emotional trauma she went through during World War II that came from my treasure chest. The stories of my uncles who were in that war one in the South Pacific and the other in Germany. There are stories of the French Huguenots, pioneers, Pilgrims, and Scotch Reformers that were imprisoned for their faith as well as stories of the devastation of the bubonic plague, both in England and in Germany. It also includes a piolet that transported the Apollo 13 astronauts. My linage contains, missionaries, preachers, and a preacher's wife. Because former generations were faithful to preserve their history, I felt compelled to include their stories in the book, making their footprints indelible.
In My Right Mind is a story of a woman's experience living with epilepsy in her childhood and young adult years. Amy had complex partial and grand mal seizures, those seizures that are difficult to control by medication. Amy went on to college to pursue a teaching degree, although she continued to have seizures on a regular basis. She faced physical, emotional, and spiritual trials while trying to keep up with the academic requirements of her degree program. Then in her junior year of college, God opened doors for her to put her epilepsy behind her and gain a better quality of life. Amy had the opportunity to find out if she was a candidate for brain surgery. After undergoing medical tests, she was informed that she had the most operable type of epilepsy. The decision to have brain surgery was up to her. Amy writes from her heart as she shares how God worked in her life and brought her to where she is today. Amy has three college degrees and is a special-education teacher. As you read her story, you will be inspired by her faith in God and determination to overcome her obstacles. She brings to light the truth of God's promise that He will never leave us or forsake us.
