Each year, hundreds of children enter into the foster-care system for reasons beyond their control. The removal of these children from their natural home can be quite devastating for them. They have an array of feelings and emotions, from being scared of the unknown to being concerned about their biological parents, to adjusting to unfamiliar surroundings and new individuals. But what about the children who already reside in the home prior to the arrival of the foster child? Oftentimes, when adults take in foster kids, they have children of their own, or there are other permanent children living there. The introduction of new kids can be a hard adjustment not only for the foster kids entering the home but also for the biological children of foster parents. This book is one of a series of books about the interaction between foster kids and the original children of the household but is told from the perspective of the biological child. Each book introduces a different dilemma, situation, or challenge that a biological child may encounter in dealing with a foster child who has entered their home. The flip side of the book presents the same situation and what the conversation may look like between the parent and the biological child. It offers some sort of resolution and attempts to give an explanation for the initial problem or behavior that a biological child may be experiencing. So much focus is often given to foster children entering to the system that the feelings and experiences of the biological or permanent child are many times overlooked. It is the hope of the author to offer a stepping-stone to begin a dialogue and help with the everyday challenges of foster families.

The title of this book is exactly what this book is all about. The Remarkable You is about the remarkable you! Unfortunately, most of us do not feel too remarkable because of our past mistakes, past misfortunes, present feelings/conditions, or personal insights into how we see our future. Therefore, instead of embracing the amazing design, purpose, and value of our lives, we tend to settle for whatever the world offers us and wherever the world allows us to fit in.Therefore, the purpose of this book is to inform you that you have purposefully been sent here to make the world a better place. You have been sent here to add beauty, color, hope, help, and encouragement to society. If you take one piece away from a thousand-piece jigsaw puzzle, the puzzle will be incomplete. Likewise, though there are over seven billion people on planet earth, the world is incomplete without you and your contributions regardless of how small and how little you may feel you have to offer.By the time you finish this book, I pray that you would not only begin to accept and understand how remarkable you are but also that you will likewise begin to soar from your cocoon state of mind and transform into the remarkable monarch butterfly that you are destined to be. Enjoy!

Have you been sexually assaulted? Experienced a death that has stopped you in your tracks? Tried or been on the receiving end of a loved one attempting and/or committing suicide? Been physically, verbally, or emotionally abused in a relationship? If so, this book is for you. If you have experienced a form of trauma not listed, it is for you, too.Trauma comes in many forms, but one thing remains consistent: If left unresolved, it will affect all areas of your life and leave you in a special hell that only those who have experienced it can relate to. Walk with Deanna as she takes you through her journey to freedom from various traumas that had held her captive for nearly forty years and see that you, too, can be free. And You Shall Be FreeDeanna Langworthy"I had the privilege of reviewing Deanna Langworthy's latest book, And You Shall Be Free, and it was a compelling page-turner! Deanna is authentic about her journey in biblical forgiveness regarding the trauma she has lived through and how practical God's Word is to a person who is willing to obey Jesus no matter the cost. Deanna relates the details of being painfully violated, bullied, and misunderstood, but her journey ends in triumph instead of tragedy. You, too, can be set free if you do the work! It is never too late for a fresh start!"Mindy PetersonCofounderFresh Start

In Mexico City, Jose Manuel Rodriguez is ready to leave Mexico City for Los Angeles on a cultural exchange program. He pats his breast pocket where his airline tickets rest securely. Seat 14A...suddenly, he feels a sharp pain in his back. His lifeless body is thrown in a creek bed with no identification. The man seated in 14A is met in LA and whisked to the eagerly awaiting Methodist Church family. They are unaware of his real identity. In Los Angeles, Amanda Wright is a beautiful twenty-five-year-old single woman whose parents were recently killed in an airplane crash. She has arrived from Nebraska to relocate with her sixty-five-year-old maternal grandmother, Daisy Downing. In the process of healing their grief and starting a musical career for Amanda, our two heroines concentrate their time in two places: the Methodist church and Nicky's Place--a high-end bar.Nicky has listened to Amanda's tape, and her lovely voice convinces him to build a small showplace for her. She will sing there in the evenings and work part-time in the church which her grandmother attends. In getting ready for Amanda's opening, Daisy and Amanda meet Loretta--a specialist in sound equipment. She takes them to the Signal Inn--a bar where she has just installed a top-of-the-line sound system. Loretta introduces them to Rod, the pianist, and he agrees to help Amanda get started at Nicky's Place. While at the church, she realizes it is not the haven she thought it would be as it offers up disturbing, even spooky, experiences. Whereas the bar, which she thought might be stressful, becomes a friendly home for her talent.Amanda, in her loneliness after her parents' deaths, wrote a song which she sings in three different places: the church, Rod's workplace (the Signal Inn), and at her opening at Nicky's Place. It reflects the theme of the book: being able to reach out to others for what you need, knowing your happiness is not dependent on just one or two people who love you. Love is all around you.

The body of Christ, as a whole, is still struggling with the issue of finances. Some feel they must by poor to be holy, and on the other side of the spectrum, some feel it is just about them getting richer. Both are incorrect. Prosperity is all about being able to fund kingdom assignments. This book gives the reader not only the right perspective on finances but also an understanding on how to operate in sowing and reaping to maximize the financial harvest so God's plan can move forward.Just think, if the lack of money was not an obstacle, what could be accomplished?

My Life, My Pain was meant to be strictly an autobiography about personal struggles and triumphs of a young man who broke his family dynasty of voodoo priests to become a Christian. From his voodoo priest father who tried to kill him and his son to being poisoned by a witch; to his puckish uncle who impeded him becoming an engineer; to his colleagues of pastors who undermined his ministry with one who tried to kill him by sending an evil spirit on him; to his business partner who stabbed him while he was asleep, Steve's life has juxtaposed the power of darkness with the superior power of God. Amidst an illness, Steve was taken to heaven and given a message for the church. The message deserves the attention of every Christian.11

"I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and your saving help" (Psalms 40:10).During its two-thousand-year history, the Christian faith has been influenced and passed down by faithful women. The women whose stories are in these pages were martyrs and nuns, mystics and scholars, writers and reformers, preachers and missionaries, abolitionists, and evangelists. These women are examples to us of faith, perseverance, forgiveness, fortitude, and truth and righteousness. In this book, we will recount the stories of many women from the Early Church to today who sought to follow their callings to serve in God's kingdom. There are very important reasons for learning about the lives of the female saints beyond giving them the recognition that they deserve for their achievements. We can learn much from the stories of the lives of the women in this book. Women and men are heirs to the promise and have a joint responsibility to practice truth and righteousness and to take the gospel to the lost (Galatians 3:26-29). These dedicated women faced many barriers and confronted many obstacles in their paths as they sought to serve Christ. They did not seek God's truth and righteousness for themselves but for God's glory."For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love." (Psalms 33:4-5).

The book illustrates the knowledge of the things that any believer in Jesus Christ must have to receive and use the anointing of the Holy Spirit at a greater depth to edify the body of Christ today. It also illustrates the practical knowledge of the Bible on how to make prayers more effective and build up a sound interactive relationship with the Trinity of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit as it pertains to the acts of the Holy Spirit in making miracles happen today.

This book is about the special bond between an owner and her dog, Sophie. This unique story line expresses Sophie's adventures as she journeys through life with Gabriella. The purpose of this book was to creatively target speech and language goals through Sophie's experiences. Throughout the story, Sophie's development is revealed through her descriptors. These descriptors can be used to target articulation disorders, specifically for /s/ and /s/ clusters. Additionally, this story has verbal and visual prompts so parents can use the prompts as a strategy when working with their children on the /s/ sound. Sophie's Special Story also has opportunities to target language goals such as answering WH questions, labeling common objects, increasing vocabulary through descriptions, expanding syntax, describing emotions/feelings, and sequencing and story retell. This publication is a powerful and helpful tool/material for speech language pathologists because they can use this one resource to target many goals; this will especially be beneficial for group speech therapy sessions. Sophie's Special Story is an entertaining and diverse book that can be enjoyed by teachers, parents, specialists, and children alike!

We all wish we could go back in time to correct the mistakes and choices we made in the past. Maybe we now regret our past failures and want to pick up where we left off to feel better about ourselves and to make it right with whoever we feel we disappointed or treated wrongly. Well, I was given a new lease on life with an eye-opening experience during the pandemic. Being a lover of the Word, I perceived that the battle one may fight daily is not yours. It is the Lord's. I was ordained by the spirit to carry out this mission. To orchestrate and deliver a message that the battle you are fighting can come to an end. My attitude changed, and I now see life differently with the eyes of my heart. I believe and confess that God wants us all to believe and stand on His Word. Everything He says, He will do and more. He will show that you need not only an outside makeover but also an overall deep inside cleansing of the mind, body, and soul. By His Word. You will receive life, health, and strength for a better life. Above all things, He wishes that you prosper and be in health even as our souls prosper. He leaves nothing to your imagination. He is an all-present God. Take a walk in it and experience the newness of life today. Receive life and life more abundantly.

God has already provided healing for every physical, mental, and emotional disease, ailment, and illness known to man. The Bible is full of healing promises. All you have to do is claim those promises and receive your healing. I'll show you how to stand in your God-given authority to claim healing for yourself, your family, and your friends.Dr. Gerard Khourie is a pastor and an apostle, who has been preaching and teaching God's Word, with an emphasis on salvation and healing, since 2000. I thought for sure what God was putting me through was building my faith: the voice telling me to drop down and roll up in a small ball so that the giant bird wouldn't eat me, being in the cave with the giant fish, no telling how long I was underwater--these stories are all true. Isn't it something how every time you read the Bible through, you get something new out of it, and God's timing is perfect timing, and that's how I got my faith.I thought God was building up my faith, but Romans 10:17 says, "So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ." Faith does not come by praying for it, fasting for it, or having someone lay hands on you to bestow it. It only comes from hearing God's word, and I think once you hear it, you still must make a decision to believe it; Yes, I believe every word of God.PS. And I know God can give faith however He wants to.And I'm only telling what I've seen and what I've heard. Amen.

It is important we encourage each other in hope. Hope in Manana. We are graced with each day. Each day that pass turns into tomorrow which has brought us onto today. Today will pass and turn into another tomorrow and tomorrows result in our future. Nonetheless, now is the time to take grasp of your moment resting in knowing that Christ will receive you when he returns. This book is my opportunity to fulfill my greatest desires. Here are three of them. One, to leave a legacy of thoughts, words, encouragement and a prayer to draw every reader to choose Christ no matter where you are in your walk and no matter what pursuit you are acquiring while you occupy your time here on earth. Don't lose your hope in manana. These words will be left for my children, my children's children, and for you. Two, to walk in the next best version of myself as an author. Three, to stand in obedience, confidence and readiness when Christ returns manana.

The second coming of Jesus Christ draws closer with every tick of the clock. With every heartbeat, each person is closer to meeting the Lord face-to-face. The question at hand is, When will this occur? A more pressing question is, Are you, your family, and your church ready specifically? The purpose of the book of Revelation is to inform and prepare each person and church for the reality of the second coming. The purpose of this book is to inform, train, and prepare individuals and churches to engage the present culture with the gospel as we experience the radical effects of these long-prophesied end times. This book is written for those who know very little about the Bible or the Christian faith as well as for those who have followed Christ faithfully for decades. Jack and Simes seldom ride the road that goes round and round, curving in and out, going down, down, down.Because Jack and Simes know what goes down, down, down from the hilltop must go up, up, up--pushing the bicycles up, up, up the long winding hill is no fun. Lilly And The Angel'Good Spirits and the Spirit Block'-Volume2-"Punishment has never been so WICKED!!"ANIMOSITY! DISSENSION! FRICTION! RIVALRY!--these are the kindest ways to describe the underlying connection between this sullen, substitute Angel and his atrocious and chilly child-assignment.The journey continues in this second installment of the epic three-part Novel, as Corinthian and Lilly fight for dominance in securing the upper hand between one another, all the while trying to fight through the barrage of enemies sent to attack them.It is now Wednesday, two full days since the appearance of Corinthian Angel Creation Of God on earth as Lilly's Aegis, and already he has found himself in deep trouble--with little to no progress of achieving his ultimate goal of becoming an official Guardian Angel.Corinthian now has to navigate through, and undo a major catastrophe (created by him) against Lilly, as both have raised the stakes within the physical and spiritual realm.Lilly has never been worse, and as the days go by, her emotions are hinting 'moral conflict' as the defensive walls she has built around her life are starting to weaken against the faint whisper of the possibility of a world 'without the need of them.'As stated before, "These two individuals are messed up, and in need of a serious intervention! Together, Lilly and Corinthian must let go of their differences and trust in themselves, each other, and the \'Most High\' if they're ever to have a chance at the liberation, the validation and peace they both so desperately...yet so 'secretly' desire.A rude Angel with a serious distaste for humans, an unmannerly six-year-old girl with an attitude larger than the city in which she lives; this could either be a recipe for disaster...or the very ingredients for a miracle!"

Eddy Beckendorf was raised in a New Orleans home marred by domestic violence. Following the sensational killing of his philandering police officer father by his mother, he descended into an abyss of mental anguish and pain. A failing student and high school dropout, he was a lost soul in a sea of despair who seemed to encounter tragic events at every turn, until he turned to the Lord. A renewed reliance on God brought symmetry to his life and established a path that led him to become a decorated law enforcement officer, corporate manager, and deacon in the Catholic Church. Through homilies and counseling sessions, Deacon Eddy has, for the past three decades, used the harsh experiences of his past to serve as a GPS for others seeking an exit ramp from their own despair. There was a time when he wondered why God brought him such misery. Now, he realizes the challenges provided him insights that most clergymen do not possess as they digest and pontificate on growing secularism, disappointment, violent crime, domestic abuse, injustice, and various ills of society. The Silver Bullet of Faith is Deacon Eddy's story, an inspiring narrative of faith told against the backdrop of historical events in one of the country's quirkiest cities.

Michael J. Lindsay wrote this fictional story of a deep state murder that is utterly intertwined with demonic forces and end-time prophecies for the benefit of people who are just wondering what is going on today. This saga comes straight from the abyss and current events. The story line is a continuation of Mike's previous novel, The Nephilim's Revenge, in which Mike's hero uncovered the involvement of the country's elite with Nephilim, fallen angels, and other dark characters in a scheme to subordinate all mankind. At the center of this scheme is a top secret government project to create several genetic lines of supersoldiers through a method known as transhumanism. The main character, detective John Michael McIntyre, attempts to bring all of those responsible for the murder to justice, but the leader of the group escapes after a shoot-out in the Arizona desert. McIntyre's pursuit of this former FBI agent takes him into bizarre territory. The title of this book, Rise of the Nephilim, Pergamos Ascending, reflects the increasing success of these nefarious characters in creating their supersoldiers and world, and evading discovery or capture. This worldwide confederacy is soon to establish its New World Order, which many citizens do not even recognize as rapidly materializing in our day. Detective McIntyre discovers that these demonic goals all parallel what happened in Genesis 6:1-7, and now their nefarious plan is apparent.Readers will be surprised to find that by the end of this complex tale of deception, they will have a real working knowledge of latter-day Bible prophecy that will enable them clearly to see world events that unquestionably signal our entry into the end-time.

The needs of men are insatiable. They are spiritual beings whose needs for existence and sustenance are both tangible and intangible. Therefore, no man in leadership is sufficient to meet the needs of others. All men are created in the image of God who knows what they need to time and how best to provide them. It is God that rules in the affairs of men; the lives of every being, their survival, fulfillment, satisfaction, peace, and wellbeing are in His account. He knows what is best for every nation, institution, community, and society even in the most turbulent periods. God is critical about leadership in the midst of men; He chooses the best among men who meet His criteria to lead others. Leadership is everything, and everything rests on leadership. Therefore, if those who are in positions of leadership in every sphere of human existence are not God's choice, they will lack wisdom, insight, and direction to provide profitable and sustainable leadership. This book focuses on the influence of God in leading men, His choice of men as leaders, the divine purpose of God in leadership, godly criteria for leadership, the woes of ungodly leadership, and biblical records on leadership among men.

In our current culture, is it even possible to raise kids of faith who are governed by character, have solid family relationships, and are contributors to their world? Yes, yes, and yes! They invite you to cast a vision for your family and choose the values you wish to impart and then offer strategies for implementing ways of living into your goals. The struggle is real. The struggle is also glorious.Life as a believer is not one for the faint of heart. Our Savior, Yahusha (commonly referred to as Jesus) says, "In this life you will have tribulation [struggle]" (John 16:33b). We also are told in His Word that we are being transformed from "glory to glory" (2 Cor. 3:18). The Most High sovereignly permits these struggles in our lives not to destroy us believers but to refine us. It is so much His modus operandi that He tells us to "count it all joy when we fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of our faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing" (Jas. 1:2-4). The Glorious Struggle: Musings from a Mind Being Renewed, Expressed in Poetic Form embodies the maxim of these truths from Scripture as they touched the author profoundly. It focuses on several themes, spanning from the author's struggles with his faith to overcoming obstacles that stunted his growth as a person, his responsibilities as a husband and father, and general observations in the life that is presented to us and more. All of these are tied together with the thread of faith he possesses in the Most High, through the gospel of His Son, Yahusha.

In the year 2020, the worldwide COVID-19 virus closed down the entire world when we were quarantined and advised to stay in our homes. Everything came to a standstill. It was then that the process of writing this book began. It is said that everyone's life is a book. After years of recording events in journals and keeping photo albums and homemade movies with the hand-me-downs from three generations, I decided to share my life in book form. Then at the advanced age of ninety years, I was amazed that my memory was still able to recall these memories. However, they are the clutter of my collections. I thank God for the early morning hours of quiet time spent in God's "Word" with my Bible and devotionals and for my mind and physical ability to pursue this venture. The "good news" is always worth sharing. We have the privilege of using our limited time on earth to spread His life-changing truth of love with others. Even during the turbulent and loneliest occasions we encounter, He is always there to provide what we need (Corinthians 2:12-17).This has been a joy, an experience, and has been my pleasure sharing my writings in my book The Waiting Room with you. My prayer is that you will be blessed as a reader of my life. What's amazing is that God uses our prayers to accomplish His plans. May God's blessings be with you (Romans 8:28). Amen!
