I'd rather have Jesus! The number of mistakes I've made in my life is too many to list. But thankfully, grace covers them all. This book is to be my testimony that God is greater than all our sins, forgives us, and uses us for His kingdom. One of the hardest things I had to do was to forgive myself. The mistakes I made are all on me while my restoration is all on Him. You and I were created to serve at His will, and I assure you that, once you grasp that understanding, your life will change, and your rewards will be beyond your comprehension. Our world is at crossroads. Our political system is in disarray, and we are seeing prophecies of old unfold in our midst. Earthquakes, diseases, wars, and natural disasters occur at a greater rate than ever before. Civil unrest in the United States is in a dangerous state. I don't know if we, as Christians, are raptured pre-, mid-, or post-tribulation, but I believe we are close to finding out. My hope and prayer are that you will secure yourself, loved ones, and others you may meet by spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. There is a place in Nome, Alaska, that receives children who are in state custody. They have been abused and neglected and are provided care and comfort and love in a safe environment. Nome Children's Home exists from receiving grants and donations and is always in need of financial support. If you are so led, please consider a donation to Nome Children's Home, Nome, Alaska, 99762.

The Holy Spirit visited me again while I was awake. It was a vision; the white cursive message floated in the air, God is amazing the Holy Spirit spoke to me and He can speak to you also. Previously I received a vivid dream from God while sleeping. I was given instructions to write. After awaking in the darkness of early morning I could not return to my slumber until I began writing down God's instructions that included the title Beautiful for Christ and the divisions with detailed topics to complete God's will.God wants us to worship Him in truth and in the beauty of holiness, and to let your light shine for the world to see. Beautiful for Christ will teach you how to internalize God's Holy Word and how to ask for and receive wisdom and understanding from the Holy Spirit. Commit yourself to God and learn the steps to become beautiful for Christ and let your light shine for the world to see.Beautiful for Christ is a beautiful Exposition and an in-depth Dissertation prepared by Deaconess LaDwyina Slater. This awesome woman of God has done an extensive work in putting this book together. Her Exegesis is on par with Biblical doctrine. It is obvious that she allowed the Holy Spirit to release what was in her heart concerning Jesus and her desire to share it with the world. Her love for Jesus is crystal clear. Whoever reads this book will be edified and blessed. I pray that it will draw souls to Jesus. The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. - Pastor Dr. Fragier L. There are so many questions. Where were you and what were you doing on September 11, 2001? Why are there so many people in the world who hate us? Why did God let this happen? Why should God step in and protect us? Isn't it more reasonable that God might treat us like He did the Israelite people? Is there any hope for the future?

What an amazing journey it has been!A celebration marking the hundredth anniversary of the dedication of the imposing stone structure overlooking the southern end of Diamond Park in the city of Meadville, Pennsylvania, kicked off on Sunday, March 31, 1968.Marking the occasion, a volume detailing the early years of the Methodist Church in Meadville was produced, putting access to the history of the congregation in easily accessible form. The current volume has been designed to apply that tradition of one-stop accessibility to the subsequent half century. To bring that dream to fruition, a devoted group has devoted countless hours to researching and compiling the years 1968 to 2021.Continuing to build on the kind of firm foundation that grows from an awareness of where Stone United Methodist Church has been, its move into the always unknown future is underway.Greetings, reader!Thank you for joining us in a look back at the past fifty-plus years of the ministry of Stone United Methodist Church. My heartfelt thanks to Dr. Armendia Pierce Dixon for compiling the material and writing the text. Her attention to detail and faithful accounting of events has been invaluable. Thanks also to those who have given of their time, resources, energy, and expertise over these past decades to make possible the ministry you read about in these pages.Honoring our past with confidence, we look to the future while embracing our mission statement: Compelled by God's love, Stone UMC is an inclusive community of faith, meeting people where they are, connecting them with Christ and one another, helping them live as disciples of Jesus Christ. To God be the glory.--Rev. Revelation is the only book in the Bible with a specific verse that says, "Blessed is he that readeth." Revelation covers the past, present, and future. Many people over the years, both saved and lost, have asked for a study guide to the book of Revelation. This book is a view of my understanding based on years of study. There's no attempt to add or take away from the Lord's Word. Read the verses as 100 percent true and my thoughts and opinions as thoughts and opinions.

Where do we go when we die? How can we be certain of our eternal destination? How can we secure the destinations of those we love? These are questions Josep never really considered, and now that his life is over, he'll never get the chance. Or will he? Can he change the fate of his wife after they've both already passed on? What would you do to save your loved ones' souls and secure their eternities? What price could you possibly pay that would be worth a human soul? Josep has decided he would go to any lengths and pay any cost if it means he can reunite with his soul mate--and that just might be what he has to do.

Life is good. For most of us in America, life is very good. Many of us spend our years following our career dreams, enjoying those we love, trying to give back to our communities, and even being involved in our church. It is all great stuff. The good life becomes the goal. It gives a confident but false feeling of security by letting us think God must be okay with us because things are smooth. We rarely, if ever, seek to know our Creator in a personal way. Often justifying that our decisions are His will, we glide along through the good life. But He wants more. When there is an awakening of the soul, it is God calling us. Sometimes life takes us to a place we don't know--but a place where God can get our attention. And if we are fortunate enough to listen and choose to follow His call, He will respond and come in and dwell with us. We finally belong. We belong to the one who transcends this life. Our desire to be with Him begins to absorb us.For some, this can be a traumatic or dramatic experience. But many may not have such an eventful conversion. The good, decent life that many live in today's America may actually make it more difficult to realize that the plan of salvation is meant for each individually. God does not want to just coexist somewhere out there; He is the reason for our existence. He loves us and wants a relationship with each of us.

According to many Christian leaders, early Genesis is a myth or allegory. Therefore, Adam and Eve never lived, Eve was never tempted, and Adam never sinned. There was no creation week, so God did not make the earth, the stars, the birds, fish, or the animals. This has become the default position of many Christian teachers, ministries, and campuses. This is not just mainline churches, but evangelicals have joined the ranks of doubters in creation. This is a reaction to the claims of Christians who work in the sciences, claiming that evolution is now an established fact. As a result, creation week is put in the category of myth or allegory, not history. New interpretations of Genesis abound. There is just one problem. This may be how people interpret Scripture, but it is not how Scripture interprets Scripture. Scripture treats Genesis as history. If you are wondering whether Genesis can be interpreted as true history, the struggle is over. Jesus is not just the cornerstone of the church. He is the cornerstone of creation.

My Life Was Predestined by God is an encouragement to the readers that God sees you. He knows your every thought and every move that you make. Sometimes your plans may not go in the direction of your choice, your life may not be going the way you planned, and the thing that you desire to have is a lost cause--but hold on. Do not give up.In this book, you will see how God will give you the desires of your heart as he promised in his Word if you will let him. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. I want you to know that if it matters to you, it matters to him. Paul said in Ephesians 1:11, "In Him we were also chosen as God's own, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything by the counsel of His will." After reading this book, you will see that "it is God who works in you to will and to act on behalf of his good purpose" (Philippians 2:3).God said to Jeremiah, "I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born, I set you apart and appointed you" (Jeremiah 1:5)."'For I know the plans I have for you,' says the Lord. 'They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope'" (Jeremiah 29:11).

There was a man in the Bible who was so obsessed with what he thought God wanted him to do that God had to use a donkey to speak to him and warn him so that an angel would not have killed him. The strange thing was, though, when the donkey was speaking to him, instead of him being amazed at the fact the donkey was speaking, he started arguing with, even threatening to kill the donkey. In this book, James brings out the many different ways God has used in his life and ministry to speak to us and get us in the right direction. It's not hard to hear God's voice. We just need to learn to listen. Be careful, that donkey you keep hearing just may be the Lord's way of getting your attention.

It is the focus of God to reconcile (2 Corinthians 5:19) the world to himself. I understand reconciliation is to bring back, to clear up differences between disagreeing parties. We look around today in our communities, cities, states, and nations, and we as believers witness the confusion among nonbelievers and some believers. In many instances, the confusion is identical in both camps--believers and nonbelievers alike. This should not be the case--confusion and distress should not control the emotions of the believer, for God gives the believer a peace of mind that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). In this reading, the believer will be reintroduced, or in some cases, introduced to living this Christian life as Jesus our Lord and Savior meant us to live it. I pray the hands which touch this book will allow the Holy Spirit to guide them as each page is turned and the truth of God's word when read will revive, fill, restore the heart and mind of that believer.

We take for granted how important our hands are. Our hands are 100 percent responsible for our capability to work, to play sports, to drive, to cook, to hold hands, etc. I cannot imagine life without my hands. When our hands are used for good, they can provide us with wealth, fame, and a prosperous life. Our hands are a blessing, but if we misuse them to do things that are illegal, they can be a curse "What are your hands doing?"

No one, even myself, ever thought I would and could write poetry. Yet with God, all things are possible!I have seen more tragedy and death in my life than I would hope no other person ever has to go through. However, through these things, God has brought me out victorious. I have not been perfect, no, not even close. I have fallen short many times in my life, yet God is always there to forgive and guide me home. I can never thank Jesus enough for all He has done for me!After the loss of my wife of forty-three years, I felt so alone and hurt. God comforted me and sent to me a wonderful Christian lady to be my love again. It has been a wonderful miracle to see how God does care and loves each one of us and knows what we need in this life."Making Your Own Footprints in the Sand" was my first real poem and has always been my favorite, and it continues to help me and guide me through life's good days and stormy days.At the end of this book, I give several thoughts that God has given me over the years. I hope and pray they bless you as well! These poems, I pray, will achieve the following:* Give you peace in things we'll all go through in life.* Help you think about the "good things" that are in life.* Build your faith and confidence in the Word and in God.* Inspire your mind to write, preach, teach, or just give you some joy.Thank you and God bless you for reading!
