In a dream, Maria sees her husband, Lord Al-Nasrani, sitting astride his steed, a sword raised in hand. Behind him, the men of his gallant army, the soldiers of Al-Mansura, stand in line, spears at the ready. Before him a great furious enemy host charges toward his line. Suddenly, a flight of arrows from their ranks descends on him. It is civil war, Sayf Al-Din battling his nephews for mastery of the great Ayyubid empire. Leaving children and emirate behind in the hands of his faithful wife, Henri Al-Nasrani, the Christian Amr, journeys into the very heart of war to honor his oath to Sayf Al-Din to determine who shall be the Lord of Egypt. Rev. AJ's Prayer Closet was chosen because many people do not know how to pray, thus hiding their concerns, fears, and apprehensions in the closet of their hearts, not realizing that they need to bring them to God to allow Him to handle them. This results in happiness and freedom from despair.

This book is comprised of various safe spaces through theological virtues for those of us on this Christian journey. The term safe space is often used with social justice and free speech. Safe space refers to "a place or environment in which a person or category of people can feel confident that they will not be exposed to discrimination, criticism, harassment, or any other emotional or physical harm."This book also includes personal stories and biblical stories created as theological virtues built on safe spaces that were created by GOD for our life's journey. Each chapter in the book includes a narrative (personal and biblical stories), scriptures, and prayers relative to each safe space. In the years it took me to write this book, I've experienced some unbelievable challenges and barriers that took concentrated practice, reading, and prayer to develop safe spaces. In fact, I've had some pains in my life that took years to heal, and it's only by understanding the theological virtues of being a Christian that enabled me to walk through this journey without losing my mind, becoming an alcoholic or drug addict, or even just giving up on life. These life experiences are the foundation for the theological virtues presented in this book as safe spaces. However, finding my safe space grounded in theological virtues enabled me to endure heartbreak, engage in new endeavors, and embrace life's journey. I pray that you receive the same freedom in finding your safe space.

I wrote this book, through my own voice, about my life experiences during the Jim Crow era, when the concept of "separate but equal" permeated the entire Southland of our nation, and the impact it made on my heart, mind, and soul.In this memoir, I give my description of how the ugly truths about segregation and discrimination during the early '50s and late '60s until the present day impacted my life. I describe how the unforgettable day that shamed the nation unfolded before my very eyes, and I include my accounts of unforgettable events leading up to that day and the aftermath. The remainder of the book gives my personal reflections about hope for justice, peace, healing, and reconciliation. My words on the pages within are honest and straightforward. I utilized the wisdom and the knowledge that I learned during my journey through life to convey my true feelings. Being able to tell my story has helped me to move peacefully beyond the painful memories of the darkness of the past into the light of change. I have learned how to fuel my thoughts with positive possibilities because divine order prevails in my mind and my life. And I do believe that God is the source of all prosperity, and I give thanks in advance knowing that my highest good is unfolding now. I have moved beyond the mindset of powerlessness to seeing life through forgiving eyes. Yet the memories of the ugly events of the past, I will never forget. Because on an underlying level, racism still pledges our society.

Destined to succeed is the fruit of sermons and reflections by its author, Dr. Glaister Bell, MD. It is the testament and exposition of how Almighty God designed humanity, to express his Creator, and how to live an abundant life here on this earth. This was set in train in each human being in the moment of his conception and is carried out through the womb into a world beset by sin and satanic schemes. We are not left to our own devices but are offered God's salvation through Jesus, His Son, with whom we are invited to share a vital union, participate in the wonders of His earthly community (the church), and strengthened through active involvement of His word and through prayer.Throughout our sojourn here, the believer in Christ is assured success by abiding in Him and keeping the cross of Jesus as central in our daily life and witness. The believer can trust in Christ's own victory at Calvary, His faithfulness throughout the ages as gleaned through examples in biblical characters, and His promises of taking us to His and our desired success, "conforming us to His very image" and taking us safely to "a new heaven and a new earth." Christ's success in His earthly life is our individual and corporate template for guaranteed success also.

Moving from Hegemony to Partnership in LeadershipWhen God created women and men, the intention was for them to be partners with each other and to serve in the world as cocreators with God. The story of human beings, however, has been impacted with culture and other social factors to create different forms of hegemonies. These hegemonies have been key in values that create social injustices that are in all spheres of life but more so in women and men relationships. In cases of leadership and in many cultures, men have adopted attitudes that justify exclusion of women from leadership. In religious circles, it is justified by the ways texts are read and interpreted through the lens of culture. If we begin from the premises of justice and believing in a God of justice, then hegemonic ways of understating leadership should be null and void. Acknowledging that human beings are created in the image and likeness of God demands that we act differently. What this has meant is to challenge injustice in leadership by men and women in partnership. The circle of concerned African women theologians in Africa, where Rev. Edith Chemorion is a member, has, over the years, provided safe spaces for mentoring women to research and write about the experiences of women but much more so to call for justice in all areas, including the study of theological education and for leadership in the churches. This has borne results because of the partnership of men and women. Reverend Edith's contributions to the rallying call is that society moves from hegemony to partnership in all fronts, but especially in offering leadership by all. We are strong when we partner, and we image God's will for society in partnership. Prof. Esther Mombo Lecturer, Faculty of Theology St. Paul's University, Limuru, Kenya

The devil's strongholds originated in the spirit realm. Satan, the devil, has many ways of creating and holding a person in a certain condition to benefit his purposes and cause in the world. Once he sets his plan, it's going to be carried out by the individual regardless of being a Christian; believer or nonbeliever, it makes no difference. He has a way to hold individuals to his cause, whether it's delayed or not; his method of holding persons under his control is even greater among Christians. Why is that? Because most Christians believe they are "exempt" from the devil's strongholds. Big mistake! No one is exempt from the forces of evil, whose strongholds are among the highest level of evil and wickedness in the spiritual realm.A person can bind themselves in a stronghold without having any knowledge; it's not Satan but their spirit of perception, which is as real, active, and alive as the person themselves, for which Satan, the devil, gets the credit and blame. The spirit of perception of the mind is more powerful than the world acknowledges. The spirit of perception can hold a person in restraint forever without changing their perception. The world does not acknowledge or consider the spirit of perception is the culprit, which Satan feeds off, and that holds the world, the entire world, in total darkness!Satan is the god of this world and its system of things, which he controls because of the world's lack of knowledge of strongholds. Most of the world population does not know what a stronghold really represents in all human lives. No one is exempt from strongholds, which can bind a person until death! This book, Breaking Strongholds of the Devil Satan, shall give some light to the world about how strongholds bind persons for lifetimes. He or she can be set free of any and all strongholds in minutes where others have been held a lifetime and died.

So God showed up in my life in a mighty way just when I needed Him most. I had no money, but I had a need. He met my need and provided more. The Lord had already put in place a plan to deliver me, to bless me before I even felt the first clue of a problem. Occasionally, when I forget, the Spirit reminds me what He said, "I will never leave you or forsake you."That's what this book is about: my search for God and the truth--not my parents' truth, not my church's truth, but the truth according to the Bible.

Have you ever felt lost, missing something inside, or as if your soul is starving? "You eat but are not satisfied. You drink but are still thirsty. You put clothes on but cannot keep warm" (Haggai 1:6). Have you ever wanted to know God, sought out to have a personal relationship with Him somehow, then looked at the Holy Bible and felt overwhelmed at the thought of reading it? "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). This is a collection of the Holy Bible put together to allow you an opportunity to get to know God personally, one bread crumb at a time. This book is full of bread crumbs meant to feed your heart and soul and make a trail to lead lost sheep out of the darkness and into the light of God's love. "I am the Good Shepherd; I know my own sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life" (John 10:14, 27).

In some respects, this second book of poetry is quite similar to the first. In other ways, it is quite different. This particular book of poetry encompasses a broader range of subjects that have not only influenced me but society as a whole. I welcome this revelation as the future of our society seems bleak without us coming together in one spirit and not divided along any lines that would cause inferiority or superiority between humanity in general. There is great hatred that has permeated our culture from its inception. It is my belief and hope that through love, we can come together to appreciate our differences and our similarities. I fervently believe that the path to perfect love is only obtained through the love of God. As a Christian, I have come to embrace my great weaknesses and the courage to commit my life to not judging others but loving them. This book of poetry attempts to convey this message by glorifying the Person of Jesus Christ through the humility of words. I'm forever indebted to God for my family, without whom, the inspiration for many poems would not have come about.

The book Daddy's Little Girl: My Poetic Testimony is a transparent and poetic recollection of a little girl accepting a love that she once ignored and rejected. The author walks us through her childhood full of insecurities and haphazard actions in the pursuit to capture love. Ultimately, the highs and lows of accepting false versions of love were overshadowed by the greatest love of all, the love of a heavenly Father, with full acceptance to overcome low self-worth and a life of impurities. It is this true love that permeated from a daddy to his little girl that solely made the author into the whole woman she is today. So please enjoy this poetic testimony of Daddy's Little Girl.2

During his years in ministry Wayne shared his deep and abiding faith with his congregations thru poems, sermons and weekly newsletters. Many times he wrote about his love of the natural world and God's creation of it. These feelings were strengthened by his many hiking and camping trips in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. He expresses his feelings in the "God's Natural Order and Symbolic action poems". Wayne wanted to give others a sense of how faith could become a reality in their lives through an understanding of biblical events such as the Holy week series and how vital faith is when faced with personal loss, as in the poem "Moments of Acceptance" May your faith be strengthened and renewed by these words.

Mama's Putting You Up on Game! She keeps it one hundred and puts herself out there as she is continuously learning to be a parent through her faith and obedience in Jesus Christ. She wrote this memoir especially for her daughters to put them "up on game," which in turn became a healing movement and turned her testimony into His ministry.

Children's books are almost always picture books. When there is any uncertainty or confusion regarding the story line, children can look at the pictures for clarification. The pictures not only help to hold their interest, but they can also simplify what might otherwise be a complex and complicated narrative.God is continually engaged in the lifelong process of teaching His children. Knowing how helpful and useful picture illustrations are in the learning process, He has provided us with hundreds of them. These pictures have been graciously provided not only to hold our interest as His Word is being taught but, more importantly, to also simplify what might otherwise be a complex and complicated passage of Scripture. In the first section of the book, we look at pictures developed by God from the material realm. Many of the elements of creation were intended by God, not only to make physical life possible and sustainable but also to speak to us about spiritual reality. What is visible to us in the material realm explains the invisible. We discover in this section how light, darkness, water, thirst, sowing, reaping, and fire are picture illustrations designed to help us know our creator and better understand His purpose for our lives. In the second section of the book, we look at various New Testament doctrines and then turn to the people and events of the Old Testament for picture illustrations that clarify the teaching. It has been said that for every New Testament principle, there is an Old Testament illustration. We will see why this may very well be true.In the third section of the book, we look at what the New Testament teaches about the person of Jesus Christ and about God's plan of salvation for the world. Each picture illustration taken from the people and events of the Old Testament is a priceless masterpiece.

I have recently completed an educational book entitled Modern Nursing: How We Got There. The nursing profession has undergone an enormous transformation over the past four decades, and I observed every change as it unfolded during my forty-one-year career as a registered nurse. In this short work, I explore the ancient origins of nursing and explain how what began as a mysterious art steeped in myth and folklore grew into the modern profession that it is today.I earned my master's degree in nursing in 2007, and I am the published author of New Heart, New Life (Christian Faith Publishing, 2017), which documents the story of my heart transplant and how I went on to continue my career in nursing. My hope is that this book will help new nurses appreciate more that very demanding but wonderful profession.
