Models On Phones was created by Melissa Stetten who has been documenting her life as a model in New York, London, and Los Angeles. She quickly realized other models were just as bored as her, and they passed the time waiting for their names to be called at castings by staring at their phones. The Instagram hashtag ''ModelsOnPhones'' was born in 2012, and Melissa has since accumulated over 100 photos. Also being a writer, she added a caption underneath each photo as to what she believes the model is texting at that moment. Models on Phones is essentially a sample of how she copes with feeling like another disposable commodity in a world that relies on bone-structure, while being number 72 on the sign-in sheet.166 pages Full Color8x10

His eye opening experiences force him to resolve old, unsettled issues, particularly his stances on morality and race in America. This true story is an existential tale that delves into one African American man''s battle with the American education system-- one that pushes and pulls him between two opposing poles: Will he settle as one of the "worker bees," or live life on his own terms?Come along on a journey as Sir Cedric reflects on his turbulent encounters with the American education system--from his days as a student--to his short career as a public school teacher in New York City. Cedric holds back no punches in his unnerving--yet, sincere--analysis of public education in the United States, how this school system instructs students of color in the doctrine of servility, and its global implications for Democracy.
In Estranged Stories, Elizabeth Boykin Vagnoni and Mary Cay Reed have woven together a compassionate description of the succession of emotions many parents experience when they become estranged from their adult children. Using a variety of stories from EstrangedStories, parents talk about the common thoughts and feelings they experience when faced with estrangement. They talk about suggestions for confronting feelings, how to respond to others, finding hope, and coping with the inability to have a relationship with Grandchildren. While these stories come from a few, they represent the feelings of more than 5,000 who have joined estrangedstories and responses from over 3,000 who have completed our survey. Sometimes just understanding that you are not alone and many others share the same "stories", is helpful when trying to understand this emotionally crippling situation.

Unlike many other coloring books that have repetitive patterns, ornate floral forms, or complicated animal configurations for relieving stress, the Landscape Coloring Book takes a somewhat different approach with creative and graphic thinking for design problem solving embedded with cartoonish joke drawing and narration. Many adults are buying coloring books to color during their time off work. Some people find happiness in those free choices of color rendering, others say it's about venues of relaxation from a stressful life. This coloring book attempts to bridge that gap by finding methods of enjoyment while teaching serious landscape technical drawings. While coloring books of stress relieving patterns can be fun and entertaining, they may not be the best choice for creativity since they are either repetitive or color by numbers. Many parents and educators do realize the importance of creative art in the development of our young brains, but a single page of defined boundaries of art work may suppress that personal expression to blossom. With the progressive skills learned and the parallel processing of the various design techniques in drawing methods, a person can further develop the problem solving skills with personal artistic expression. For example, within a framework of two point perspective grids, a designer can express endless design solutions with sketches of people, fountain schematics, and rock placement. The final coloring touch up will add much more joy and excitement to the triumph of personal creation with design solutions. A picture is worth a thousand words, and a cartoonish drawing of joke perhaps is worth a hundred laughs. While you retell the joke, you may also try to draw that joke, and while you get excited with that drawing, you may pick up some color pencils and doodle on it. This is a coloring book for you to create, animate, and beautify with a colorful spirit of your own.

Henrietta Temple. A Love Story (1837) was based on Disraeli's secret affair with the married woman, Lady Henrietta Sykes, with whom he broke the relationship in 1836, when he found out that she had taken another lover. This semi-autobiographical novel is a good account of Disraeli's early passionate relationship and his ambivalence towards women. He abandons the political theme in the novel and concentrates almost entirely on the love story. In addition to the interest of the autobiographical element, the novel also poses some questions about the identity of the main male character. Illustrated by Francis Vaux Wilson
Once upon a time in China there lived a certain king who had three daughters. The fairest and best of these was Kwan-yin, the youngest. The old king was justly proud of this daughter, for of all the women who had ever lived in the palace she was by far the most attractive. It did not take him long, therefore, to decide that she should be the heir to his throne, and her husband ruler of his kingdom. But, strange to say, Kwan-yin was not pleased at this good fortune. She cared little for the pomp and splendour of court life. She foresaw no pleasure for herself in ruling as a queen, but even feared that in so high a station she might feel out of place and unhappy.Every day she went to her room to read and study. As a result of this daily labour she soon went far beyond her sisters along the paths of knowledge, and her name was known in the farthest corner of the kingdom as "Kwan-yin, the wise princess." Besides being very fond of books, Kwan-yin was thoughtful of her friends. She was careful about her behaviour both in public and in private. Her warm heart was open at all times to the cries of those in trouble. She was kind to the poor and suffering. She won the love of the lower classes, and was to them a sort of goddess to whom they could appeal whenever they were hungry and in need. Some people even believed that she was a fairy who had come to earth from her home within the Western Heaven.
