Life never came with a manual telling us what to do if you are heartbroken, sad, mad, or in love. We kind of just wing it. What does matter is how you grow from that. These poems are from my many gains, losses, ups, and downs. I have lost a lot of people in my life. Some who left, some whom I left. One thing I learned from all of this; life goes on. Life does not stop for anyone. Time is going to pass whether we like it or not, but what you do in that time, is what matters. Sara I. Raad

The Theban plays comprise three plays: Oedipus Rex (also called Oedipus Tyrannus or Oedipus the King), Oedipus at Colonus, and Antigone. All three concern the fate of Thebes during and after the reign of King Oedipus. They have often been published under a single cover; but Sophocles wrote them for separate festival competitions, many years apart. The Theban plays are not a proper trilogy ( three plays presented as a continuous narrative), nor an intentional series; they contain inconsistencies. Sophocles also wrote other plays pertaining to Thebes, such as the Epigoni, but only fragments have survived.

Samuel Lover (24 February 1797 - 6 July 1868), also known as "Ben Trovato" ("well invented"), was an Irish songwriter, composer, novelist, and a painter of portraits, chiefly miniatures. He was the grandfather of Victor Herbert. Lover produced a number of Irish songs, of which several - including The Angel's Whisper, Molly Bawn, and The Four-leaved Shamrock - attained great popularity. He also wrote novels, of which Rory O'Moore (in its first form a ballad), and Handy Andy are the best known, and short Irish sketches which, with his songs, he combined into a popular entertainment called Irish Nights or Irish Evenings. With the latter, he toured North America during 1846-8. He joined with Charles Dickens in founding Bentley's Magazine.

This is a brief summary on the history of Judaism as it is found in the texts of scripture, in the writings of the law and prophets, as well as records from historians. This is not written to denounce anyone who practices Judaism, but simply to share it's true origins. Also touched on in this book, is Judaism and Christianity; How are they the same, and how are they different? Both seek to serve the One true God, and both are founded on scripture. But there is a difference. Also touched on, is the New Covenant and the Messiah. What is the New Covenant? And who is the Messiah? And has He already come or are we still awaiting His appearance?

My paintings are portraits of what I live, it is where I represent my points of view and my ideals. I usually use three processes for the creation of the paintings: living model, drawing, and photography. The paintings are made with acrylic paint on canvas. In the past I worked with oil painting, however, I had to stop due to allergic reactions with the paint. Working with acrylic paint gave me several options to build my technique and create a perfect finish using transparent layers in the works. My goal with my art is also to show other sides within the GLBTQIA culture and in all of society. By that, to open the minds of the audience to other possibilities within gay and contemporary art. "Well written, unaffected and ringing with authenticity," says R. Crumb about this offbeat, hard knocks American story that plays out on the mean streets of New Orleans and other big cities as three dropouts from a small town in upstate New York hit the open road in their search for better pizza, good live music and the cheapest rent in the whole USA. An entertaining yet at times harrowing journey through the back alleys and all-night diners of Reagan's minimum-wage America, it has a minor "Bukowski thread" to it and is sure to become a milestone in the annals of slacker literature.

The Angel of the Revolution: A Tale of the Coming Terror (1893) is a science fiction novel by the English writer George Griffith. It was his first published novel and remains his most famous work. It was first published in Pearson's Weekly and was prompted by the success of "The Great War of 1892" in Black and White magazine, which was itself inspired by The Battle of Dorking. A lurid mix of Jules Verne's futuristic air warfare fantasies and the utopian visions of News from Nowhere, and a precursor of Welles' future The War in the Air and the war invasion literature of George Tomkyns Chesney and his imitators, it told the tale of a group of self-styled 'terrorists' who conquer the world through airship warfare.

Lewis Grassic Gibbon was the pseudonym of James Leslie Mitchell (1901-1935), a Scottish writer. Born in Auchterless, and raised in Arbuthnott in the former county of Kincardineshire, Mitchell started working as a journalist for the Aberdeen Journal in 1917, and later for the Farmers Weekly after moving to Glasgow. Gibbon grew up in Stonehaven, and attended Mackie Academy. Around that time he was active with the British Socialist Party. He was best known for his trilogy A Scots Quair, set in the north-east of Scotland in early years of the 20th century. The trilogy consists of three novels: Sunset Song (1932), Cloud Howe (1933), and Grey Granite (1934). A Scots Quair, with its combination of stream-of-consciousness, lyrical use of dialect, and social realism, is considered to be among the defining works of the 20th century Scottish Renaissance.
