The purpose of this book is to present several simple yet fundamental principles I have learned over the last fifty years of working to improve my own mental health and well-being. The book is divided into two parts: teaching and sources. The first partteachingwill be short, and its style lean, primarily to facilitate easy reading and absorption of the material. The second partsourceswill be more academic in style yet still relatively lean, intended for those interested in the source material for the teaching portion of the book. The first part of the book may be read by itself without reading the second part for anyone primarily interested in a very short, very direct account of the principles of the teaching.
The Land Of When is a love letter to the children of the world. Beautifully illustrated, it is a story of discovery and as the people in the story soon realise, getting their 'when's' just doesn't please them at all! Based on the Zen philosophy of being happy now, this book teaches children to stop saying when, and to start being happy today.
Sometimes a story can open a door to a new way of perceiving the world. We build a culture with the stories we tell. At this moment in our history we need to share new stories. We also need to retell old ones that carry essential wisdom from the past.
Thought-provoking writer Nikei S. Salas gives a surprising tale of fiction. It is about the death and life of a young woman named Genesing. This book will have you hanging on to every word. And it will leave men and women readers feeling different.
This is a first-person poetic narrative by a successful middle-aged man, concerning a long spiritual journey. It began when he was twenty-seven, just getting traction with his engineering career, and was awakened from his ego-unconsciousness by mystical experiences that inspired him to scribble out reams of poetryand meet his Muse. Subsequent career demands induced him to deny the mystical experiences, quit writing poetry, and fall back asleep. For two decades he was comfortable in that sleep, but during the third, the emptiness of his successful, ego-life and bouts of depression induced him to wake up enough for him to realize there was something fundamentally wrong with it. After many hours of depression and deep thinking about his life, he realized that he had to regain the sense of meaningful wholeness he had felt when in those mystical states and writing poetry. This allegorical poem is his attempt to describe that struggle to wake up out of his long ego-sleep, regain his mystical wholeness, and through the act of writing this poem, make peace with his betrayed Muse and explicate what he learned during the process.

Vickie McEntire's Little Bird & Myrtle Turtle is an inspiring story of encouragement and persistence for young children. It expresses how Little Bird overcomes adversity with the help of an unlikely rescuer, Myrtle Turtle. In turn, Myrtle Turtle is blessed by watching Little Bird learn to spread his wings. It is beautifully illustrated by Christina Vergona with elements of classic literature. I can see this story being shared not only with children, but graduates and parents as a testament to the relationships, sometimes unlikely, necessary for success. -Rachel Lamar, M.Ed., Media Specialist This beautifully illustrated book is crafted with precision to allow the deeper message to come through in a thoughtful way, but never preachy or simplistic. You come away from this book with many important messages that children of all ages would understand and apply to their lives. -Lisa M. Russell, MAPW, English instructor and author of Lost Towns of North Georgia
This is more than a book of rhyming poems. It is a publication of highly raked raw emotional feelings, which walk you through the dark recesses of the writers mind and peer into a window of her soul. The poems are easy to read. They are entertaining and thought-provoking. Have the tissues near when you turn these pages.
Eons ago, the galaxies of the universe were conjoined. These super galaxies were the result of atoms merging as the universe was born in a tight cluster. As time passed, the galaxies started to tear and drift apart, creating the Voids. In the year 3001, the universe continues to expand, but now, rifts-the by-product of the galaxies' separation-threaten to tear the universe to bits.On Earth, Sean Mathewson Caleb was once a sergeant in the famous Non-Existent Wars. He plans to finally retire and live out his life in peace. Then, an unexpected visit from an alien life form changes the course of his destiny, and a letter from his late father gives him the tools he needs to fight the oncoming darkness-but will it be enough?Meanwhile, in another galaxy, mysterious attacks are making people question what's really out there. Something dark looms in the Voids. They are Dark Matter Entities, ironically nicknamed Sprites. These non-corporeal beings rain death and destruction on anything that is an affront to their existence. With the threat of these beings and with the universe falling apart, it seems a cataclysm is on its way unless a few brave souls can stop it.
For author Toan Nguyen, 2013 was a year of bad luck related to the number thirteen. In Tragedy to Triumph, he tells his family story's that began with a burglary in his home in North Bundaberg, Australia, and culminated with a flooding tragedy and evacuations brought on by Cyclone Oswald. In this memoir, he shares details of the flooding and how the community looked like it had endured a global war with buildings-timber, brick, and steel-twisted, wrecked, and torn and how his home was in ruins, a muddy swamp, every single item destroyed. Tragedy to Triumph narrates how he put his heart, soul, time, and effort to rebuild the house and his business.Providing personal insight into disaster, Nguyen tells a story of how embracing resilience and persistence helped him and his family gain the courage to overcome the adversities they endured.
This book contains some of the topics I investigate and the ways I describe life experiences creating meaning and purpose. Aware of a fluid imagination, driving curiosity, I move through adventures, dismantling thoughts and beliefs to recreate my life.
If you've ever wondered if angels were real, if you have been fascinated with the supernatural, and if you have pondered whether there is any human on this planet that experienced a visitation from angels, then you would want to read my story. Just in case you may not fall into any of the above categories, I believe that this will still be a good read for you. It's true, amazing, spiritually titillating, and full of excitement. This is a short journey with me into my story of a visitation with angels. This is my face-to-face miracle of healing and restoration from a tragic place of discomfort, devastation, and death. I believe that death is a transition that shall take place for all mankind, but the fear of dying no longer exist to me since I had my encounter. It was June 24, 1998. Something very strange occurred in my life. I died. I came back to life, and I treasure and cherish every moment that I can as I relate this beautiful story. Ever since I was a child, I have had supernatural experiences in my life. I have literally seen angels and had encounters with them. I have been aware of things before they happened, or see things that the natural eye cannot see or explain. I don't mean to sound mystical or spiritually deep; I have had visits from angels. From the beginning of June 1998, I was aware that the angel of death was following me. It wasn't this handsome fellow that you see on television shows. It was grotesques and ugly. Unlike what we imagine it to look like, it was a dark shadowy creature with no face or features, but I knew who it was. I was not afraid. I only wanted to stay in the land of the living because my children were so young and I didn't want them to grow up without a mother.

She soon encounters resistance to her self-expression and tries to change who she is, only to realize that she must be strong, love herself, and encourage others to accept themselves when they feel they have lost their value or are not being heard and accepted for their unique strengths.
This book is about ascension and for ascension. Its main purpose is to guide individuals to a virtuous path of enlightenment. Its title proclaims that the knowledge within this book is the treasure of the gods given to humanity by the gods and written by an ascended being. Also added to the front cover is the reason that I write this book as Gods love for his children. Comprised within this book are three chapters, and all are about ascension within themselves. Why only three chapters? In my vision long ago, I have seen three giant steps ascending to the throne of God. The reason is simple. It takes three giant steps to be with God, and it will take three chapters to understand God. The first chapter is about a young man and his journey into his mind and soul. There, he encounters two supreme beings, who later reveals to him the meaning of life and why are we here on earth and where we would go from here. Chapter 2 describes and sheds light on chapter 1, revealing more details about the young mans livelihood and his dark past and how he attains enlightenment. Finally, chapter 3 is set apart from the other chapters. It describes and reveals more in concrete evidence about the divine intervention in our past. They are trying to assist us in our struggles to understand ourselves and our destiny.

Traditions can add such value to a family dynamic. I began buying each child a special ornament every year to hang on the Christmas tree from the time they were born. Many of those ornaments were from family trips or special occasions. When the children were young, they created handmade ornaments at school for me, which I cherish to this day. Each year we would take time to share stories about our special ornaments as we decorate the Christmas tree. The bonding and the love expressed during this time is immeasurable.
My Angry Breast tells a personal journey through the diagnosis, chemotherapy, mastectomy and the aftermath having heard those words, "You have cancer".Part One begins with the seeding of Ruchi's passion to find a better way after experiencing her dad's cancer journey.
