Citizens generally have a desire to learn more about America's cities, including their own community's municipal government. This is true because people spend most of their lives living, working, and paying municipal taxes in cities. Many citizens, however, know more about their state and federal government, than they do about the city in which they live. This is primarily due to the extensive media coverage given to topical issues and news events, plus what they, as students, were never taught in high school civics classes many years ago. City government is the level of government of which citizens should be most informed. After all, the decisions made by the local elected public officials-mayors and city council members-have a more direct and greater impact on their lives than do those decisions made by elected leaders in higher levels of government. This thirst for knowledge is made apparent when speaking before community groups and professional organizations about how much municipal government works. Most citizens want to know more about the operations of their local government, including the roles of their elected officials, advisory bodies, chief administrative officer, and the various functional managers that make government work.

As everyone whom is consideratein compassions to living, I also am one of you. The ideals and thoughts acceptingthe realizations for becoming sincere of appreciation¿s for all life, are the virtues that shouldn¿t be ignored orforgotten.I have wishes that I too wouldhave more control of angers, impatience to ones that break my tolerance.I do think that this modern ageis of greatness but never changes the truth. Since the beginning of time thereare those who never realize the beauties and respects for others and of livingfor themselves, in becoming this. And that noting is perfect excepting maybethe thoughts and ideals of good. Somehow the confusion generates losing this picturefrom society and enterprise.I do believe that the majority ofpeople all over this globe are born to love and believe in freedoms.Too bad our social levels, capitalism even some cultures hinders this effect. Common heritages in people are to smile andlaugh.We live andputting up with the shallow neglected concerns of some people.As the old saying, the rottenapple in the barrel spoils the bunch as well with the idea that the bad ruinsit for the good.So here we are in this life. Copingand clinging to the company of friends that are good.

I made it a point; that I was going to be at the "Opening Statements" for the trial and I was; along with most of everyone's family members. The Fed's Opening Statement was long and what I remember most about their statement is they said; "There's a big difference in these two men; Mr. Lewis and Mr. Mitchell. Mr. Lewis; although he owns a home in the Oakland hills and probably millions of dollars worth of other real estate property and drives a Rolls Royce; you'll often see Mr. Lewis wearing Levi's. Mr. Lewis; he isn't flamboyant as Mr. Mitchell is; Mr. Mitchell is flashy and always wants to be seen." I thought to myself; "damn; these people sure do be paying attention to things when they have you under surveillance." Their Opening Statement was long and boring to me but; the jurors all seemed to be taking and making notes to what was being said.
