"SHAMBHALA'S GHOSTS" is a book recording the continual soul expansion of the seeker, Peter James Ford. Peter's journey began after a powerful spiritual experience in the little historic seaport in Newburyport, Massachusetts. In Peter's late night meditations which were along the Merrimac River, the boardwalk, the Salisbury Reservation on the Atlantic Ocean, Plum Island, Maudsley Estate State Park, Pow Wow Hill (Native American Burial Grounds) and Old Hill Burial Grounds he was having vivid visions in his mind of 'seemingly' past life experiences and powerful insights. Peter began seeing the hidden secrets of this quaint little seaport that people never take the time to see. Peter's intuition and senses increased in an almost scary powerful way giving Peter wisdom from unseen sources. One source may be the Akashic Records/Library that is not a physical library but a place in the ethers that contains all the wisdom and knowledge ever known to anyone over the eons. We can access this power through ancient spiritual practices and apparently Peter has done just that. Stories and Tales began flowing from Peter and he wrote his first book. In the last three years Peter has written nine more books and shares everything he has found from his journeys to the inner worlds. Peter wrote a seven-book series under the title "MYSTICISM IN NEWBURYPORT" then the eighth and ninth bonus/companion books called "MYSTIC" & "VISION QUEST." Now you are holding his new writings in your hands. Peter laughingly calls himself "An Unlikely Messenger" as his younger years were nothing resembling anything spiritual. So, here is the story of just another seeker realizing his divinity and returning to his own heart...
The Bright Survivor is a memoir offered in a unique second-person, mother-to-son approach. The mother provides a detailed story about how her son grew up in a small family of the first-generation immigrants in Canada. Her son was born in Toronto when she and her husband were in their forties, finishing school and starting a new career. When they immigrated to Canada after his birth, the immigration officer asked them to "make sure that he gets all that a Canadian deserves." It took twenty years. The family of three explored and overcame several learning curves. For many years, being with his parents was rare for the boy because his parents always worked full-time. He grew up with Chinese nannies, home cares, after-school programs, and extra-curricular lessons. For summer and winter breaks, he was busy with camps and sometimes family trips. In his primary school years, the boy was fine but had little patience in group settings and split-grade classes. His parents pursued a better fit for his education. He eventually felt in the right place with the International Baccalaureate program at high school and went to a co-op program for his college education to become an engineer. His mother wondered sometimes if the home she had provided could have been more relaxing and better appreciated. Her generation never had the time or resources. Her version of his childhood is marked by persistent effort in a diverse world, always with an open mind and often with love and happiness.
The poems herein were created from my experiences in life, dreams, automatic writing, divine inspiration, and about and to several friends. For instance "Raw Gypsy Blues "came from when I lost three relatives and a fiancée' over a period of four months and I couldn't handle any more death and there were many more in a period of six years. I had relatives possessing animosity toward me because I could not attend all the funerals. Mourning really is a private thing; I handled in my own spiritual way. But on the other hand, many of them are about the love I have for certain ladies and friends, some I have never met, some I hope to meet. They all know which ones are theirs and theirs alone. For all the teachers I sought out and the ones who found me to help me keep what little sanity I have, and to teach me to see the Light that I so procrastinate in seeing. "Ode to Divine Inspiration" and "Tears of a Gypsy" is about my incarnation of this lifetime." Tears of a Gypsy" is also the title of my autobiography I have yet to complete for publication. Yes, I do know that many are obscure in content but c'est la vie, and I hope that this does not distract the reader from enjoying or even criticizing of which I handle very well.Cover design and with many thanks and love by Penelope Nash
The cornerstone of Aerobic Yoga, The Cosmic Fountain of Youth Workout, consists of three, nonstop exercise cycles; The Salutation to the Sun/Surya Namaskar, Salutation to the Moon/Chandra Namaskar, and Salutation to the Earth/Prithvi Namaskar. The Salutation to the Sun is a universally known, ancient exercise. It has been practiced at sunrise for centuries to release spinal stiffness accumulated during sleep. What makes Aerobic Yoga unique and "revolutionary" is that by creating and adding two new cycles to the Salutation to the Sun, the three cycles together are elevated to a complete exercise system. The different processes represent three different degrees of difficulties of execution. The essence of this endless cycle is, by not resting between yoga poses, as Hatha Yoga does, a high level of aerobic fitness is achieved, hence the title, Aerobic Yoga.Because the workout acknowledges the Sun, Moon and Earth rituals, it promotes health, vigor and longevity, combats stress, and anxiety, therefore the subtitle, The Cosmic Fountain of Youth Workout. The book is divided into four major parts. The introduction elaborates on topics of how The Cosmic Fountain of Youth developed, and why it is the yoga exercise for today's world.Who will benefit from this book? An essential part of the introduction is the detailed step-by-step instructions on how to use the book.Reasons and realities, the second part, expands on and instructs the principles and executions of breathing, relaxation, concentration, balance, stretching, the execution of the technique, as well as the frequency, length, time of practice, eating, drinking before the workout, and how to treat injuries. The third part informs the practical questions and answers like; "What should I wear? What is the ideal surface for the workout? Where should I set the thermostat? What if I pull a muscle? What does it mean if I have a headache or feel dizzy during or after practice? What if I experience muscle twitches, spasms, or cramps? Can I do the workout in a sauna?"The actual Aerobic Yoga workout program is presented in the fourth part. Before you practice the cycles, you will learn the poses individually. After you memorize the poses and processes, you can become your own instructor. You will decide the intensity and duration of your workout. For a basic program, you will perform each cycle twice before going on to the next one. For a robust aerobic activity, repeat each process three or four times. The book presents the workout cycles in three colors for easy use.

The sun has many benefits - it's essential for health and wellbeing, allowing us to make vitamin D, set our body clock for sleep and utilise it for key biological processes in our body. Sunlight supports our bone health, helps with our cardiovascular system, boosts the immune system, regulates our mood, reduces inflammation, minimises the risk for infection, relieves pain, helps us relax and feel happy and protects us from cancer, just to name a few! The lack of adequate sunlight exposure, coupled with increasing overexposure to artificial blue light from digital devices and artificial lighting at night, is contributing to a wide range of chronic and severe health issues at all ages. Blue light from screens suppresses the production of our sleep hormone melatonin and has been linked to obesity, diabetes, heart disease and even cancer. Artificial lighting sources have very different frequencies, intensities and are static, compared to sunlight. The wrong type of light at the wrong time of day can accelerate cell damage, affect our sleep and circadian rhythm and ultimately our physical and mental health. This book aims to educate about The Sunlight Diet, an easy and free approach to optimise our healthspan and happiness - with simple actions we can take every day. We think about diet and exercise for better health but just as important is our exposure to light every day, through our eyes and skin, indoors and outdoors, daytime and night time. Your health is in your hands!

This is an entertaining and enlightening book about a gaggle of grumpy and flawed old men in their 70s and 80s who meet for lunch every Friday and discuss and argue over current events. Having seen a lot and done a lot, good, bad, and worse, they try to make sense of what is happening in this country. Most are veterans and all are patriots who love America. No topic is off the table, from the emergence of wokeness to the rise of antisemitism to term limits to government corruption to the failing of urban education. Even tachometers and why we don't need pennies is tackled. Along with a sense of humor, they offer interesting ideas along with insightful revelations about the causes of the quandary our nation is facing. Their discussion is shaped by their cumulative 400 years of living and their Christian faith.

"Dear Madame de Beauvoir" is a response to the book "The Second Sex" by the French philosopher Simone de Beauvoir. The book tackles existentialist feminism, exposes the flaws in radical feminism, and provides essential tips for our daughters to navigate safely the world created by men. The book introduces essentialist feminism, a new school of thought within the feminism movement that sees man and woman as inseparable entities living in an obligatory symbiotic relationship. They are joint heirs and co-equal in managing the material universe. They have never been in war, as anarchist feminists depict it, but in lovely relationships that sometimes do not end well. Man and woman complete and complement each other; they can switch tasks in the house as they please, but roles cannot be abolished because we cannot have two captains in one boat. The two individuals live as pilot and co-pilot and cannot leave the house simultaneously because the ship cannot be left unattended. Essentialist feminism promotes function-based roles in the marital home to address the nascent confusion in marriage instead of the gender-based roles we traditionally practice.

The Eagle That Refused to Dance with Chickens is a metaphor that is traditionally narrated in two African languages,Kiswahili and Kikuyu. It is an Oral literature genre that communicates strength of self-determination in spite of gross failures. This story in particular, although has been modified to a great extent, is popular among the Kikuyu people who live in central part of Kenya where it is believed to have originated. The author has worked painstakingly to allow the same descriptive words and phrases in Kikuyu to be translated in English as verbatim as possible to fit in the story. Such endeavor is an attempt to bring the authentic texture of the story as much as possible to the Western world mind-set.Both the content and style of narration are aimed at addressing issues of late childhood and teen years, thus eight to fourteen years of age. It seems to fit such application because this is the time that children are intensely obsessed in searching self-independence and identity. Nevertheless, the story has been used as an allegory and adjusted to be applicable to all ages, depending on the purpose and circumstances. Quite often it is also presented as a drama or acted by children as one of the activities that would bring the meaning into the real life of the children.
WHAT WILL I SEE? is both educational and informative. It is told from the viewpoint of a six year old child who is telling the story of her family having a wonderful vacation in the mountains. Experience the high country yourself and let the words and pictures take you there.
