Mozart wrote his Piano Concerto in D minor, K466, for his subscription concerts held during the Lenten season of 1785. According to the entry in his own autograph catalogue of works, it was completed on 10 February 1785 and given its premiere one day later. Leopold Mozart, then visiting in Vienna, mentioned the piece in a letter of 14 February to his daughter:An excellent new piano concerto by Wolfgang was being written out by the copyist when we arrived, and your brother had not even had time to play through the Rondo as he had to supervise the work of copying. This Urtext edition of the concerto (with orchestral accompaniment arranged for second piano - 2 copies required for performance) has been edited by world-renowned musicologist Christoph Wolff together with pianist Christian Zacharias. A sweet miniature composed for solo piano in 1937, Mystic Flute consists of two voices: a simple melody in the harmonic minor scale balanced by an ostinato accompaniment in 7/8 meter that gives the work a hypnotic and ceremonial spirit. The melodic line begins in the top voice, before moving to the bass voice, and returning to the top voice with small ornamentation. No notes were removed from the piano score in this guitar arrangement by Aaron Larget-Caplan, and all dynamic and phrase markings follow the original score as well. This arrangement was premiered on July 29, 2018 at the Coaster Theater in Cannon Beach, Oregon.

Marc-André Hamelin's Suite à l'ancienne is, as the title might suggest, a Baroque-style suite in six movements, each with the unmistakable wit and virtuosity that characterizes Hamelin's compositions. Hamelin's Praémbule" takes J. S. Bach's "Chromatic Fantasy" as the jumping off point for a wild flight of fancy followed by, the deceptively amiable amble of the "Allemende", the moto perpetuo sprint of the "Corrente", the decadent embroidery of the "Air avec agréments", and the "Gavotte et Musette's" contrast between staccato strut and pedal-heavy pedal point, before concluding with a spectacular "Gigue". Rachel Naomi Kudo commissioned the Suite à l'ancienne, about 16 minutes duration, after impressing Hamelin with her performance of his "Toccata on L'homme armé" in the Van Cliburn International Competition. Funding the commission with her Gilmore Young Artist Award, Kudo suggested the idea of a work inspired by the music of J. S. Bach and went on to premiere the Suite in a performance streaming from Pordenone, Italy on February 21, 2021, presented by the Irving S. Gilmore International Piano Festival."

Dieser Lobgesang geht derÜberlieferung nach auf den vom Heiligen Geist ergriffenen Augustinus und Ambrosius vonMailand (4. Jh.) zurück. Wie in seinen anderen Te-Deum-Kompositionen vertonte Händel auchhier den Ambrosianischen Lobgesang.

A 5-minute uplifting piece for SATB and piano that uses the ancient latin hymn of praise to the Virgin Mary. The verses alternate between full choir and solo or duet passages, accompanied by lush, romantic harmonies. Composed for senior school choir but would suit church choirs around the world.

Unpublished until long after Mendelssohn's death, the Sonata in F MWV Q26 was composed in 1838, while Mendelssohn was serving as the music director of the Leipzig Gewandhaus, and was intended for Ferdinand David, the concertmaster of the Gewandhaus. Yehudi Menuhin's edition was the first to bring the sonata into print in 1953 and has remained popular with violinists. Contains a piano score and separate violin part.

It is based on texts by the Austrian poet Georg Trakl and describes distant trumpet sounds, decaying castle ruins and icy lakes, in the spirit of German Romanticism. Trompeten, Nachts und Untergang (Trumpets, Night and Downfall) was premiered by Norwegian trumpeter Tine Thing Helseth and the Norwegian Soloists' Choir (conductor: Grete Pedersen) at the Ultima Oslo Contemporary Festival in September 2020.This edition is the choral score (EP14530) of the work.
