On a regular trip to the market Damian gets caught up in a religious attack in Jos, Nigeria. Fleeing to safety, Damian hides out with a brutally injured man, and a scared girl. Damian takes the girl home, and from there, they build a friendship that leads into romance. Careful not to ruin the relationship, Damian keeps quiet about a secret fantasy of his female friend. When another crisis happens weeks after, Damian is called, between receiving a gift from Rekiah, his friend, to receive the corpse of his mother. His broken heart too shattered to take it again, Damian runs to Lagos without informing his friend. Rekiah is distraught after she does not hear from Damian. Damian finds his way to the United Kingdom through his art, which Rekiah had helped revived with her gift of a drawing book and pencils. In the UK, Damian finds his feet, and works as a freelancer as a cartoonist for magazines and newspapers. He also works as a portrait painter, but later dropped it. He falls in love in the UK, gets married and thinks his life is finally settled until nightmares of his past hunts him. His dead mother calls out to him in his dream, and in a bid to relieve himself, he returns to the study and starts communicating with Rekiah through his drawings. Damian's behaviour worries his wife. When she finds out that he was 'in love' with another woman after she saw his drawings in his study, she seeks revenges and starts cheating too. Unfortunately, her new man, a colleague at work, was a douchebag. The man gets her into financial troubles, one she had to run away from. Damian starts chasing a gig to cover war in a war-thorn country as a reporter. He hoped that the contract will change his financial fortunes. In a twist of fate, he gets the gig but not to the war-thorn country he had hoped. He was to go to Jos to cover the persistent religious crisis. Damian wants to reject the gig but he knows it would be financial suicide to; plus, his wife thinks he should take the gig. She does not know his trauma. Damian's friend had arranged that he sees a therapist in Nigeria to help with his nightmares and PTSD. Damian and his wife return to Nigeria. However, the therapist Damian's friend had gotten from him is his ex-friend, Rekiah. Rekiah and Damian rekindle their unfinished relationship when Damian meets her for therapy. In a twist of fate, they start having sex and Damian professes his undying love to her. Unfortunately for Damian, his wife explorative nature sees her befriend their driver. The driver tells her what her husband has been doing, after she seduced the driver and slept with him. After spending days at Rekiah's, Damian returns home to officially end his marriage but he is treated like a king by his wife. After one of the most mind-blowing sex he'd ever had from her, Damian wakes to find his hands cuffed to the bed. Surprised, he asked his wife what was going on. She explained to him, while he was cuffed, that she knew what he was doing. She poisoned him. However, before Damian is swallowed by darkness, he sees Rekiah and his wife smile sheepishly at him.
'Black Egyptians for Children,' is the shortened children's version of the ground-breaking debut book 'Black Egyptians: The African Origins of Ancient Egypt' by Segun Magbagbeola. We have established that there is a concentrated effort by European institutions to hide and/or alter the true history of African people. Therefore, Africans must establish these truths and teach it among ourselves and to our children at an early age, so they can have a proud sense of identity and have an open mind to accept greater truths in later life. This is much needed to elevate past the negative portrayal of black people in the media, and some of our oppressed living conditions which is designed to keep us from elevating. Whilst the topic of the black ancestry of the Ancient Egyptians will be there, it is not the premise like the first book. Rather, the goal here is to introduce the concept and history of Ancient Egypt to children of all races at a general level for educational purposes. Parents of other races who want to avoid contributing to the lies and whitewashed versions of history will also find this book appealing for their children. This book is written for children with simple writing, beautiful Egyptian images/artwork by a top illustrator and interesting historical facts, and figures. After reading this book your child will be educated and inspired in the ways of our ancestors.
In February 2015, the world crazy over the colour of a dress! Sounds trivial doesn't it, but why was it so significant? Perhaps because it shows the differences between humans and that reality is not what we perceive it to be. Some people saw a black and blue dress while others saw a white and gold dress. How can people see two completely different sets of colours? I remember the frustration of trying to convince my colleagues at work that the dress was white and gold and they equally tried to make me believe it was black and blue. Which colours did you see?Could it be that there are bigger differences between us than we originally thought? After hundreds of thousands of years in our present state, could humans finally be on the verge of evolving into a different species? Could a genetic shift or something latent within us awaken superhuman powers making the rest of the human race slow, dumb and obsolete? The questions are endless, and in my view make a fantastic research and science fiction project. I have written a novel from this scenario called 'The White and Gold People'.There was a time when our early human ancestors (homo-sapiens) competed with Neanderthals. We were wiser, and stronger and they eventually became extinct around 30,000 years go. Natural selection is a key mechanism of evolution, and some scientists predict that different species will have evolved by 2050.It is said that humans are still only in their infancy when it comes to evolution there's a lot more weird and wacky mutations to come in the future. The biggest evolutionary changes have come from the brain such as abstract thinking and language. The eyes are one of our key sensory organs giving us sight. Generally most humans see things the same apart from conditions in eye such as short/long sightedness and colour blindness. The highly spiritual can see auras and spirits. Clairvoyants see things that are distant in time or space. The 'dress saga' lies in conjunction with the idea in quantum physics that what we see is actually far different from reality, and our perception can be different to someone else's.In the White and Gold People I explore these scenarios from the perspective of protagonist Laura Golding, a 21-year-old, attractive law student from UCLA. Laura is one of the people (15%) who see the dress in white and gold, while others see it in black and blue. Overnight the 'goldies' awaken their third eye giving them powers such as clairvoyance, teleportation, telepathy, remote viewing and superhuman strength, whereas the 'blueys' stay the same. When a video is uploaded of a goldy in America teleporting to Australia in a matter of seconds, tensions rise between the two groups and the blueys view them with contempt and fear. After the president is assassinated an International manhunt is started to capture all white and gold people. They are deemed a threat to the future of humanity and are taken into quarantine units to be tested like lab rats and have their powers weaponised by security agencies.Laura is identified as one of these people and learns to use her powers to evade capture. She finds other white and gold people who form an alliance to protect themselves from the blueys and government agencies but eventually war erupts between the two groups. The future of humanity will take a big leap into uncertainty as both groups fight for survival but one thing is for certain; the losers will cease to exist and the winners will be inhabitants of the New World.
