The Christian's Identity of Belonging is a sequel to, The Christian's Identity of Being. In this book I describe in seventeen ways, how the Scriptures through metaphors, similes, allegories, and parables, indicate just how precious and intimate our relationship with God can be. God loves us, and deeply desires to have a close relationship with His creation. This, however, depends on our willingness to accept His offer to be His children. "The ball is in our court," as we sometimes say. The invitation goes out to all the earth. "The Spirit and the Bride say, 'Come.' And let the one who hears say, 'Come.' And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price." (Rev. 22:17) (ESV). It is possible for everyone to have, AN IDENTITY OF BELONGING.
The "Christian's Identity of Blessing" begins in the book of Genesis and traces the blessings of God through each age, concluding with the close of time as we presently understand time. Eventually this earth will pass, and life will continue in heaven with the eternal Godhead. The strong point that I want to convey throughout this book, is the urgency of the hour. It is in this life where we must prepare our hearts for eternity. Everyone is born in a lost condition through the fall recorded in the book of Genesis. To rescue us from the ravages of sin, God sent His Son Jesus Christ into the world to atone for our sins. The ultimate blessing is when we discover this truth and surrender our lives to Christ. It is then that we discover who we really are and what we were meant to be. Heaven and hell are real! Everyone lives forever, the question is where? It is now that we must prepare for eternity! Once we die it will be too late. This life without Christ is empty. We try to fill it with the things of the world, but deep inside we still long for something more complete and fulfilling. It is Christ and only Christ who can provide for us the missing link to our, Identity of Blessing.
A careful textual examination of 19 of King David's Psalms with an application to our modern day lives. You will be able to see that although written 3000 years ago, human nature has not changed but neither has God's infinite love, mercy and grace. Just as David failed and found forgiveness through genuine repentance, we too have divine reconciliation when we ask the Lord for forgiveness. This devotional approach to the Psalms will provide encouragement, as well as a deeper understanding of how personal God is.
A spiritual guide for every believer who desires TO BE a faithful follower of Christ.AND - a challenge for those who have not yet discovered true faith.
