Bombay Sapphire has been tasked by Agni, the Hindu god of storms, along with her friends from The Times of India to investigate strange smells coming from an insecticide factory in Bhopal. One of these smells kills Bombay Sapphire as well as her two friends, and she winds up on Mount Meru, the home of the gods. While Agni and Shiva debate the fate of Bombay Sapphire, she encounters an apsara, who feeds her. Returned to life, Bombay Sapphire and her friends find themselves in the future, and still in Bhopal. But can they save the city from a leak in the factory that will kill tens of thousands?

BRIEFING: Nyx is a cold-blooded operative for Blacklight, a section of Amphictyony Security that does not officially exist. Deven, her boss, has dispatched her to the tropical world of Malache, there to kill a courier who is about to transfer classified information. Given minimal information in her briefing, she kills the wrong person. Ordered back to make amends, she finds herself in the middle of an intercorporate conflict where both sides want her dead. An old nemesis, the only person ever to have defeated her, is present on Malache as well. Her only allies are the lemuroid, pacifist, sexually-tilted Malasy, and an anthropologist of questionable loyalties. To win this one, Nyx has to recover her lost femininity, and make the coldest sacrifice of all.

Answering a distress call, March and Myrrha find a young woman who has deliberately been marooned on an uninhabited world. She claims to be Hoya Palologa, heir to the Palologa throne on Wanderby. But there is already a Hoya who has been invested as the heir apparent to that throne. Myrrha believes the claim of the Hoya she and March have encountered. Thus begins a journey to establish the succession, a journey made far more perilous because Hoya not only claims the throne, but is also a sinister personage with several crimes on her resume. March and Myrrha find themselves embroiled in internal politics on Wanderby, where the slightest wrong move can get them killed. The rulers on that world are oblivious to the subtle machinations of their underlings, one of whom has created a lookalike but false Hoya. Which one is which? And will death take the real one before March and Myrrha can stop it?

Five hundred years into the future, Pevely Keiser is the capo of the criminal organization called Temmen. Temmen runs itself, for the most part, with only a few nudges from Pevely to keep people in line. Lately she has two things on her mind. An alien named Dorcas, who can project illusions designed to create joy or terror, has come to Pevely because a small group of her people have disappeared. Assisting Dorcas, Pevely finds herself up against the major corporate power in human trafficking--a power that dwarfs what her gang, Temmen, can muster. To salvage this one, she has to deal with a possible betrayal by someone she trusted completely, and rescue a family in distress, as well as see to a few strays she tends to accumulate during her activities. Along the way, she has to figure out why someone would abduct aliens who create illusions. As dangers gather like storm clouds, she is forced to rely on the one person she cannot trust: Dorcas the Illusian.

Lisa is the last survivor of six astronauts who were sent into space aboard the Laika to test the new faster-than-light drive and to explore other worlds. She was gone for 38 years, but time dilation makes her return 9,000 years later. The Earth is mostly a desert, and few humans have survived. She wants to find out why this happened. She is aided by Rachel, the Laika's computer who has come to life, and by Elly, a reclusive Kentucky moonshiner who wants to learn more about her milieu. They encounter a desolate land sparsely populated by disparate folk whose societies are based on what little commerce exists. There are isolated groups of religious fanatics who enslave others. Finally Lisa's search winds up at the long-abandoned site of Area 51, where she and her companions learn the truth about the fall of Earth.

Out on their first date, high school seniors Colo Collins and Tama Toledo are taken aboard a spaceship and offered the chance to intervene in various events in the Universe. These events can range from stopping an asteroid from striking a planet to helping someone find her house keys. But there's a catch: both Colo and Tama have to agree that an intervention should be performed . . . and sometimes they'll have to perform the intervention themselves!Each problem they are presented has to be solved by critical thinking. In some instances, time travel and body-swapping with alien sentient beings is necessary. This novel is intended for an adult audience, but is certainly suitable for high school ages.

The scion of a corporate hierarch, Angrboda Vigdisdottir (Ayvy) wants to hijack a gold shipment to prevent an interstellar war. Disgraced security operative Pol Cahill is the ideal partner for her, given his skill set. Unfortunately, personalities clash. Finally, on a remote world, the two encounter one another in a tavern, and find that a young woman named Nohana, intensely educated and with a desire to travel among the stars, takes to the pair. But the personalities continue to clash even as plans are laid to steal the gold. Nohana fills the power vacuum and becomes the so-called adult in the room. But Cahill is shot and wounded before they can carry out their plan. Nohana now has no choice but to try to save the day, despite her lack of experience. Meanwhile, the war awaits.

Her day name is Lisa Verdi. She comes from Ecuador, she's a bit kinky, and she is descended from the Incas, by whom she is empowered. She can sense crimes before they are committed, and the sensation arouses her-so she watches, to intervene at the very last moment, because she's the one she pleases. Now she has a chance to end the battle between herself and Pizarro, the destroyer of the Inca Empire. But to do so, she needs the sword that originally killed the conquistador, and it's in a museum in Peru. So what's a superheroine to do? One thing at a time...

Pyra has paid off her debt to Mark the Shark, who now wants her to work for him. She likes her independence, and returns to Europa with Kathi, whose parents have allowed her to travel in space for a while. Also with her is Jahn Gassen, who delivered goods to Pyra's ship and was accidentally taken into space. Pyra returns to Europa to study under Dr. Mairead O'Rourke. She receives a telepathic message from the morrikaru, the blind seal-like creatures who live in the ocean under the crust of Europa. The morrikaru report strange sounds coming from the walls around the ocean. Pyra and Kathi go to investigate, and find a crack in the walls. What if the surface of Europa should collapse? Uh-oh.
