Tommy Edwards loves comic books. It's all he thinks about. All he dreams about. Good versus evil, saving the world, humans versus monsters, that sort of thing. Every free second of his day is spent reading from his giant comic book collection. Not only does he read them, but he also loves to create his own. One day Tommy accidentally discovers a new comic book store in town. It just appeared out of nowhere, and he has to check it out. Some of the selection he already knows, but most he has never seen before. He even finds a special set of colored pencils that the store owner insists will help bring his drawings to life. As Tommy uses the pencils to create his new comic books, he starts to notice strange things around town. New buildings that look oddly familiar. Even news stories that are highly unusual. Tommy starts to wonder if the store owner's saying was more than just that. Is he imagining things, or are his drawings actually coming to life? Find out, in Superheroes United.

Megan Fuller has the coolest dad in the world. He works at the local museum as an overnight security guard. What's even better is that he sometimes lets her come to work with him. She gets the whole museum to herself, and she can do anything she wants. Megan really likes to see the paintings, and there are a ton of them there. One day, Megan's dad tells her that the museum just received a new shipment of paintings from Japan. They are all very old, and very delicate. As soon as the museum is able to set them up, Megan heads over to see them. These paintings are not like the others, however. They kind of creep her out. It's almost as if they are watching her. And where is that giggling sound coming from? Megan begins to feel like she isn't alone in the museum anymore. The characters in the pictures seem to be in different positions each time she walks by them. Then one of the paintings just completely disappears. What's going on with all this new artwork? They are just paintings after all. Right? Find out, in The Art Gallery.

Warning: This book contains adult language and situations. Thomas Williams is a former police detective from Chicago. He was the youngest detective that the department has ever had, and was extremely skilled at his job. After investigating a series of murders with his older partner, Detective Bishop, all the evidence seemed to point to the most unlikely of suspects. His very own partner. As Thomas watched his partner get locked up behind bars, he was determined to find enough evidence to set him free. Due to the severity of the case, and the mounting evidence against him, Detective Bishop was quickly moved through trial, and delivered to the electric chair. Convinced he was a failure, Thomas had no choice but to turn in his badge, and walk away. Seven years later, a young woman named Molly appears at Thomas' door. Her brother had just been arrested for two new murders, and all the evidence points to him. Determined to prove his innocence, Molly came to persuade Thomas to leave the country, and return to Chicago to help solve her case. It doesn't take long for Thomas to see the similarities between these murders and the ones long ago, and he's convinced that the killer is still out there. Thomas and Molly begin their own investigation, studying the first murder, and moving on to the next. Thomas knows there will be a third, but with her brother behind bars, he's beginning to doubt himself. As he recalls the events of the past, and takes note of the changes in the present, Thomas thinks that this case is more than meets the eye. When he himself becomes a target of attack, he realizes that the killer will stop at nothing to destroy him. But Thomas is unwilling to walk away, and is determined to uncover the real killer once and for all. Will the case that began seven years ago finally be solved? Find out, in 1940.
