This book reprints the contents of Steve Ditko's 176 Page Package, originally published in 2000, with the exception of a 30-page story, "Mr. A. Faces the Knifer." For some stories contained herein, Ditko created new characters. For other stories, he brought back characters he'd created previously. This powerful collection is a fine example of Ditko's skill in visual storytelling.

This collection offers a fresh insight into the mind of innovative writer and artist, Steve Ditko. Part I collects all nine issues of The Four-Page Series, a newsletter he originally published between 2012 and 2015. Essay topics include flawed thinking and misbehavior of some comic book fans; choice, rationality, logic, emotion and the nature of artistic creation when more than one person is involved; how he made various decisions regarding his work; his thoughts and actions in developing prominent comics characters such as Spider-Man and Dr. Strange. The latter has been the subject of speculation (and outright fabrication) among fans in the decades since, but Ditko gives his first-hand accounts here. Part II includes over 20 additional essays in which Ditko explores history, philosophy, uncommon sense, the Law of Identity, the Founding Fathers, nature, comics and the creation of other characters he wrote and drew. Robin Snyder provides an introduction and other essays. Rodney Schroeter offers his thoughts in "Metaphysics and Fantasy." This book is part of a new, ongoing series: Ditko Complains.

Before Steve Ditko revolutionised comic book super-heroes with the Amazing Spider-Man and Doctor Strange, he applied his incomparable storytelling mastery to taught suspense-thrillers. These chilling stories were cast with nervous-eyed dreamers and sweaty-palmed schemers, none of whom make it out with getting theirs. They were parables of wrenching psychological tension, expressed by one of comic book''s most unique creative minds, and they will leave you curled up and screaming for more - whether you like it or not! Marvel is honoured to collect Ditko''s complete stories of suspense in two beautifully restored Omnibus volumes. From his very first Marvel work in 1956 through to his last five-page masterpiece, every iconic Silver Age Ditko short is collected in these incomparable Omnibus editions. Few creators have left their mark like the inimitable Steve Ditko. His unmistakable creative vision brought the world the Amazing Spider-Man, Doctor Strange - and, in 1988, Speedball! Together with writers Roger Stern, Tom DeFalco and Jo Duffy, Ditko crafted the adventures of Robbie Baldwin, a high school student with strange other-dimensional powers that create an energetic kinetic field, transforming him into Speedball! In the classic Ditko style, Baldwin's life is complicated - his father is a district attorney with no love for costumed vigilantes, and there is serious marital strife between Robbie's parents. This complete collection brings together every Steve Ditko tale of the future New Warriors superstar for the first time! Collecting SPEEDBALL #1-10 and material from AMAZING SPIDER-MAN ANNUAL #22, MARVEL AGE ANNUAL #4, MARVEL COMICS PRESENTS (1988) #14 and #56 and MARVEL SUPER-HEROES (1990) #1-2 and #5-6.
