American Chinese writer Sonia Hu's first poetry collection after the publication of her biography "Shanghai Forever Lost", the film journal "Mirror Flower Water Moon", and the novel "North of Shanghai, South of Beijing". Her poetic style has the rhythmic beauty of classical poetry and the directness of modern poetry.

This is a collection of youthhood poems by Sonia Hu in the early 1980s. As the critic Hong Junzhi commented: when we read this collection of poems, we unknowingly enter the era full of passion, confusion, and chaos. That era is not the age of innocence for teenagers, but the age of ignorance of society and culture, and the immaturity of the literature. Sonia's poems, with her unmatured youth, and elegant poetic language, slowly cut through the layer of film that wraps the soul and heart.
