Author Shirley Wratten resides in Virginia Beach, at Westminster Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay. She is the mother of three sons and two daughters, and had the privilege of helping to raise three stepchildren. She is the grandmother of 15, and great-grandmother of 10. Shirley has been journaling for more than 50 years. She began seriously recording her poems after attending a writing group. Embraced by Love was written out of a desire to share her heart, drawing on the experiences of widowhood, illness, pain and loss that taught her about the love of God and His transforming power for each of our lives.
