The first poem in all the books of my series. What was GivenThere was a field with a pathOr was it a path through a fieldIt's not a choice to find the fieldThe field that has its own pathIt's a choice to go down itIt's a choice to go through itWe awake to the dayWe obey our own wayWe don't choose our dayWe don't choose our own wayWe are what we areWe are our own history traveling forwardSo a child stumblesAnd a man is humbledFor it wasn't long agoThat a man found a fieldHe wasn't looking for itHe wasn't in need of itStill he had found a fieldA field with its own pathSo he chose to go down itHe chose to go through itWhy would we sayThat he chose his own wayWhy would we sayThat it's his own natural wayThe day began and brought the man into itThe world gave the man his own way to obeyThe man stumbledAs the man made his way through the fieldThe man stumbledAs the man made his way down the path The path through the fieldThe boy who asks into the night "Why am I alive?"again seeks answers. Here in the second story he is confronted by the truth of his World."What can I do? I'm overwhelmed, my life, mychoices . . . I feel like I'm only here to find my end."The Voice"I'm here for you. Sometimes that's all we can be.The World is a place of many ends and manybeginnings. It provides many ways for man to knowand go forward into. One man cannot know anotherman's heart, but a man can learn to love all who areof the World. A child must learn many things tounderstand what it is to be alive. A man also mustgrow to understand how the World can allow for itsown nature. A man must know what the World is.The World changes as man creates it. The Worldchanges as it raises another generation to becomethose who shape it."The man awoke and was again kneeling, one hand onthe ground, one hand clenched. He rose and began togo forward.

The second book in a series of spiritual conversations that blend poetry and short story. My own experience in life has been much different then the type of man I focused on in the second book. I feel that those who have come before us were all subject to the failings and hardships of a World that can give life or take life in the most random of ways. People though, are more predictable, atleast to those who came before us. Every life that has ever been has a spirit that moves forward into what will always be new and will always be home to all who are.
