    Sajid Rashid is a noted writer, journalist and editor of the quarterly Urdu magazine Naya Waraq. A liberal Muslim intellectual and activist, he wrote columns for the Mumbai-based Hindi evening newspaper Mahanagar and also for the Pakistani publication Akhbaar-e Jahaan.
