Saira Ahmed was born in Pakistan to a bureaucratic family, and had her primary school education from Vichy, France. She studied Environmental science and sustainability in Australia, International relations in Kazakhstan, and holds an MBA degree from Islamabad. She has vast experience in programmatic humanitarian, gender and disaster risk management work.She worked with the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) supporting the Member states in the economic development as Communication Specialist and also for National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). Government of Pakistan. Saira for two years was the face (anchor woman and editor) of the Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV World), the English national news channel of Pakistan. Nowadays she is serving as United Nations International civil servant, based in Egypt.When she is not writing, Saira spends most of her time reading, cooking, decorating home, travelling the world, and catching her favourite Broadway shows. She is fond of jewellery designing and has a passion for selecting pearls and stones from across the world. She loves music and is fond of orchestral classics. Since childhood Saira stand out for her fierce ideas and strong self-motivation to make a difference in her life and for others around her. She is married to an Italian diplomat.Life of a Sufi is her first book, inspired by her personal search of the Divine.Devoted to charitable causes, she is a member of numerous diplomatic associations and her search of divine still continues.
