Im folgenden werden einige Vorträge, die der Verfasser in den letzten Jahren in heimatgeschichtlichen Vereinen hielt, in erweiterter Form einem breiteren Leserkreise dargeboten. Hinzugekommen sind die Aufsätze sechs bis zehn. Der Vortrag über »Die Lausitz im Zeitalter der ostdeutschen Kolonisation«, der 1923 als Sonderschriftchen, Senftenberg N.-L., Gebr. Grubann erschien, wurde überarbeitet und wesentlich ergänzt. Da die Zusammenstellung Die Lausitz in den Hussitenkriegen als Privatdruck 1922 nur wenigen zugänglich war, verschiedentlich aber noch gewünscht wurde, ist auch sie hier unter verändertem Titel und mit einigen Zusätzen abgedruckt. Dass es sich bei diesen Aufsätzen und Vorträgen nicht lediglich um Zusammenstellung und Verarbeitung bereits gedruckten Materials handelt, wird der Kundige leicht ersehen. Die Arbeiten 6 bis 9 bauen sich zum größten Teil aus archivalischem Stoff auf. Im übrigen verweise ich auf die im Anhang beigegebenen Quellenangaben. Einzelbelege und Anmerkungen zu bringen entsprach im allgemeinen nicht dem Zweck der Veröffentlichung. Möge das Buch, dessen bunter Inhalt zusammengehalten wird von dem Drang, der Heimat vergangene Zeiten lebendiger zu machen, empfängliche Leser finden! Möge es zu weiteren Forschungen Anregung geben.The following includes some lectures that the author has held in local history societies over recent years, now offered in an expanded form to a wider audience. Additionally, essays six through ten have been added. The lecture on ¿Lusatia during the Era of East German Colonization,¿ originally published as a special pamphlet in 1923 by Gebr. Grubann, Senftenberg N.-L., has been revised and substantially expanded. Since the compilation Lusatia in the Hussite Wars was only available as a private print in 1922 and was still in demand, it is also reprinted here under a changed title with some additions. The informed reader will easily see that these essays and lectures are not just compilations and processing of previously printed material. Works 6 to 9 are largely built on archival material. Furthermore, I refer to the source references provided in the appendix. Generally, providing specific evidence and notes was not the purpose of this publication. May this book, whose diverse content is unified by the desire to make the homeland¿s past more vivid, find receptive readers! May it inspire further research.
