Christianity is simple. It was never meant to be difficult. Jesus' disciples were neither theologians nor priests, they were ordinary people, just like us. Too often we are given a version of Christianity which makes us stressed and unhappy. But Jesus never intended us to be stressed by trying to 'be good enough' for God and others, or by trying to 'following all the rules', or even by 'being a member of the right denomination'. None of these things will give us the love, joy and peace God wants us to have. Instead, God desires relationship with us. He wants us to understand Christianity is simple.
