This illuminating book draws on the author's personal experience to provide organized approaches to neurological conditions such as memory disorder, language disorder and disorders of reflex and weakness. Orienting clinicians to challenging areas of neurology, discussion of controversial subjects is presented with previously unpublished data.
Foundations for Clinical Neurology is divided in to three primary sections. The first section "Practicing Neurology" covers bedside investigation, diagnosis, imaging techniques, and therapeutics; Section 2, "Topics in Neurologic Disease" reviews topics in neurologic disease that are often overlooked but still of interest; and the third section, "Perspectives" provides insight in to how we talk, think, and develop concepts in neurology. With the understanding of theevolution of neurologic concepts, the terminology and classifications used by neurologists, and the methodologies used to prove cause of disorder and disease, the practicing neurologist can then provide the most effective care.
