When one exposes themselves to people in a book of poetry it is like standing naked in a field as 500 men judge your every inch. This is a collection of poems which I truly hope bring out some emotion . For what is art but a vessel to explore our emotions. Raw unfiltered and desire. Inspired by life in Australia, footy shorts, men, and life this book is for you as much as it is for me. I hope you enjoy, or whatever the emotion is, I hope you feel.

Be careful what you wish for.In Book One, Hek cursed Joshua Gibbon with immortality and a tortured soul.In Book Two, Hek is back and with his sights set on Charles Michael Simms, a simple man with simple dreams...and one big wish: for someone to make this world a better place.Feigning to be an angel, Hek leads Charles to believe that is it Charles himself who must make the world a better place because He is the Second Coming of Christ!Though Charles wanted nothing more than a wife, kids, a house, and a dog, he is now thrust into a life of god-like powers and a responsibilty to the heal the world. He finds friends willing to help him and a woman willing to love him for all that he has become but he also finds himself fraught with danger and death at every turn from those who oppose him and his mission.Charles and his friends must uncover the mystery of the wealthy industrialist, Daryll Eddington, and a monsterous demon, both hell-bent at ending Charles' desire to make the world a better place.Savior will take you from the inner city of Saint Laurel, nickednamed "the war zone" to the fiery depths of Hell as Charles' mission, fate, and wish unfurls before his eyes.
Have you ever made a wish that you never expected to come true?As a child, young Jack Nelson wished to be just like his daddy. Little did he expect a demon named Hek, a god amongst men, to have been secretly working for years to make sure that Jack's wish came true. Five years ago, Captain Jack Nelson shot and killed his partner to save thousands of lives. The pain that this action, amongst countless other violent acts committed by the captain, forced him to retire from service. He is now being called back to defend his country from those who would challenge the president. He must also save his loved ones from his own secretive military team, and to cure his drug addiction with experimental pills explicitly created for him. Such problems would be enough for any normal person, but the captain must also navigate his way through life with a new girlfriend named Mercy, a psychotic fallen angel with multiple personality disorder called Grace, and a being christened Hek, with a seemingly endless amount of power and a penchant for granting wishes. Now back in the game, Captain Nelson's insides are tearing him up as he delves back into a horrific world of assassinations and violence. With a goal of retiring once the missions are complete and moving in with Mercy, he soon finds that Grace would have him for herself and punish Mercy for trying to steal him away from her. With demons and violence at every turn, Jack may have to rely on the help of some other beings he always thought fictional: vampires!
After leaving an abusive relationship, Abby visits an old friend on her way to her mother's in Florida. Hayden's Uncle Jack is renovating a building into high-end apartments in town, and with the lure of living rent-free in a beautiful loft, Abby becomes the caretaker with the entire building all to herself. Abby hears strange sounds in the building. Shadows move as if they're alive. Led to believe the structure was previously a school, Abby is told by the last living employee of Harper's Grove that the building used to be a home for the infirm and unwanted children, the Dead Pennies of society, unfit for circulation.Abby and Hayden search for the cause of the strange events at Harper's Grove, and find out why the spirits of the dead children won't sleep until they get vengeance. But there's also another evil at play-this one of a human nature. Abby's ex-boyfriend, Nick, finds out where she has run off to. He won't stop for anything until she's back in his clutches, but Nick doesn't expect to come up against the raging spirits of the Dead Pennies."Plainly stated, Robert Ford's most recent novel (Burner) ranks up there with Jack Ketchum's THE GIRL NEXT DOOR." - Pete Kahle"Ford's writing here is next level. His prose is smooth, eloquent and often times beautiful even while describing the most vile and despicable acts." - Ron Davis"(Burner is) One of the most binge-worthy books I've ever read. Could not set it down. A+ horror all the way." - "Mother Horror" Sadie HartmannRobert Ford has written the novels The Dead Pennies, Larva Me Tender, Burner, Blood Roses, The Compound, No Lipstick in Avalon, Inner Demons, a collection of novellas, and The God Beneath my Garden, his collected short fiction. He has co-authored the novella Rattlesnake Kisses, and Cattywampus, and Black Salve with John Boden. He can confirm the grass actually is greener on the other side, but it's only because of the bodies buried there. "The world is large; Russia is great; death is inevitable." Almost forty years ago Robert A.D. Ford came across this sentence in a Russian school primer. It stays with him today as an example of the Russian psyche, a psyche that Ford is better equipped to explain than most. He is the only Western diplomat to have known and dealt with all the Soviet leaders from the end of the Second World War to the present: Stalin, Krushchev, Brezhnev, Gorbachev. As a poet and translator of Russian poetry, he also had a special entrée into the Soviet literary world. In this memoir he offers a unique perspective on post-war Soviet politics and Russian life.
