Does being tough make you better than others? In the fifth It's All About book, a hyena feels that being tough does just that. However, along comes another animal who gives the hyena a reason to think differently. After all, God desires for us to be tough with his strength. We all need to take heed to Proverbs 1:10 (TLB): "If young toughs tell you, 'Come join us,' turn your back on them."
Do you think that being strong makes you better than others? An ox, who is known for being strong, finds out about his weakness. In this fourth book of the Its All About series, a strong ox comes across some hyenas who weaken his strength and are a reminder that the strong should not brag.
Do you brag because your ability is better than others? Along with a giraffe and a mouse, an owl now appears to make its point in the All About series. Declaring that its all about being SMART, the owl also learns that boasting, bragging, and disrespect of others is not how God desires us to behave. Lesson learned: Live together in peace with each other. Do not be proud, but make friends with those who seem unimportant. Do not think how smart you are. (Romans 12:16 ICB)
Do you boast about your ability to do things? Just like the giraffe in the Its All About book series, along comes a mouse who does the same thing. Although he shared a lesson on humility with the giraffe, he forgot to live up to it himself. Consequently, the mouse also learns that his boastful behavior only leads to trouble. May the Lord silence all flattering lips and every boastful tongue (Psalm 12:3 NIV).
