"This is book #6 in the ongoing Desert Store Series. The story follows Timmon, a young boy with unique psychic abilities, who escapes his malevolent family to seek solace in a desert store situated on a positive Earth chakra. In the store, Timmon is welcomed and protected by a group of good psychics who appreciate his exceptional senses and serene nature. Meanwhile, Timmon's imprisoned father, brothers, sighted mother, and sisters hold intense hatred towards him. They unleash their psychic powers to destroy the desert store and then seek refuge in an eerie mansion in Colorado when their initial plan fails.A year later, Timmon, along with two other troubled young men named Beck and Shem, travels to Gitwell, Colorado. Unbeknownst to them, their journey will lead to the resolution of their painful pasts. The story is set on the edge of a flat field lying between the evil mansion, Manfred's Folly, and Lou Cornfields' small cottage. It explores the dynamics of good versus evil, with two evil, monster mothers and one innocent, lost mother, and their soul-weary sons seeking to end the war with their mothers. The ending is compelling and unexpected. This book is a complex story that challenges conventional notions of Good and Evil, spanning 158 pages of nonstop intensity."

This is a tall tale, a fantasy, prefaced by how things got started and how it all came about, but mostly it is a story about the kingdom of Noddin Muse and a bunch of too young, too dry Rebel Bedats that began a Rebellion, and how it was quelled. Noddin Muse is one of the smaller kingdoms lying within the larger Kingdom of True Believers in Imagination, where magic children''s stories take place, and Crones, Box Keepers and Others live in the magic kingdom hidden behind the doors of an abandoned old shoe box factory.

Wizard Reuben Ashtar, and later, his son Foxglove, attended the Great Homnom School of Wizardry, where the  headmasters, in self defense from their odiferous cheese grating, grumbling ways, hastily designated each one in turn, Official Dreadful Noise Controllers, and sent them out into the world to conquer any Dreadful Noises they encountered. It was a position they each held with mostly no degree of success, but one that afforded vast relief from cheese grating and grumbling to the headmasters and other wizardry school students.  After many years Wizard Reuben Ashtar retired and after laying about a long while, he decided to build Landoshar, a magic kingdom for children. Wisely, he set aside a part of Landoshar for the Dreadful Noises and put them in it, but everyone knows they are most excellent escape artists, and very good at causing embarrassment.  Everything went along as planned until the magic land of Landoshar was almost finished; then Reuben made a doleful discovery! Many of the odorous, cheese grating Dreadful Noises he had chased for many years, mostly without any success, had escaped and were busy scaring away the elves, trolls, fairies, and the other magic beings living in Landoshar! Reuben and Foxglove set out to find the Dreadful Noises and return them to their part of Landoshar, but as we know, most numerous, naughty Dreadful Noises have other plans. Find out what they are up to and where they might strike next on their adventures with Wizard Reuben Ashtar and Foxglove!
