Patricia was born Patricia Oakes. Her hometown was Norwich, Connecticut. Her parents, John and Rita Oakes had seven children, of which Patricia was the youngest. Patricia later moved to Charlotte, North Carolina where she met and married Harold H. Irvin III. They reside and Charlotte with their two children and two grandchildren close by. Crista Marie Kang. Crista is married to Kun Kang. They live in Belmont, North Carolina with their two beautiful children Nathan and Lailah. And Harold Andrew Irvin. Harold lives in Charlotte, not yet married. Harold works hard as a supervisor for a landscaping company here in Charlotte. Sharing the Lord, and his power in her life, and her family and friends, are her life.

I always enjoyed writing assignments in school, and when my mom died when I was fifteen, writing became a grieving, healing tool. I didn't realize just how much until later in life, when I was in my forties. This is when my sister found a box of various items I had left at her house, and she sent them to me. In the box were many of my writings I had saved. My daughter and I began reading them, and a great deal of them were about my mom. My daughter and my dear friend Linda convinced me to take my writing seriously. And so with the Lord's love, compassion, and guidance my writing journey began. For all I am is only through HIM, and without HIM I am nothing.
