I am not a person who is unfamiliar with runes, to say the least. I am a Runemaster in the Rune-Gild, recognised and named as such by my peers, and I have been a member of that initiatory school for eighteen years now.In 2010 I wrote the book Ægishjálmur: The Book of Dragon Runes. This book not only added flesh to the Apophis initiatory system in terms of specific mythic symbolism and praxis, it also proved a huge step forward in the development of the philosophy underlying the curriculum, to the extent that I consider Ægishjálmur one of the essential core Apophis Club titles, valuable even to those who do not work directly with runes purely for the ideas and powerful revelations it contains. So the writing of Ægishjálmur added so much depth and nuance and flesh to the bones of the Apophis curriculum. It was an extraordinarily powerful process to undergo, and a very exciting book to write, and marked my transformation into a Runemaster. On 1st January 2022 I commenced the Year in Runes programme of work. I would work solidly with two runes each month, covering all twenty-four over the course of the year. The work would follow a set pattern. Each day would have its focus, and this pattern would repeat for every rune in sequence. This new book, A Year in Runes, is my record of that year's work, a profound revisitation of the runes, digging more deeply into their meanings, with a powerful and transformative new rune poem, divinations, deep dives and autobiographical notes. This is my unexpurgated record of a year's rune work which cut much deeper than I have anticipated. This book isn't presented as a way of saying, "Hey, here's all you need to know about the runes!" Quite the contrary; although it is indeed almost embarrassingly rich in content, if I repeat this work in another ten years' time, I will have experienced and learned so much more again that this will be outdated ... at least for me.Instead, it is intended to encourage YOU to take up YOUR staves and follow through on your own adventure, beginning your year in runes. I can guarantee you, knowledge will come to the surface from deep down, seeking expression, things you didn't know you knew, now taking shape and form and transforming you in an accelerated manner. But don't take my word for it ... do it!- Michael Kelly, Runemaster, January 2023

  • - Lectures #26 - #50

In mid 2015, Michael Kelly, founder of The Apophis Club, and author of many books on Draconian Magic, began delivering a series of half hour lectures on magical subjects, two every month. These lectures cover a wide range of themes pertinent to Draconian magicians. They were initially offered by private subscription, and are now accessible through Michael's Patreon to his backers and supporters. The series is ongoing and there have been one hundred and forty eight such podcast lectures at the time of this writing. The earliest lectures have now been taken down to make room for new ones. To ensure that these valuable pieces of magical instruction and insight are not lost to posterity, they have since been gradually released as individual e-book transcripts. This current volume collects together the transcripts of the second twenty-five lectures, numbers 26 - 50, in a print edition.

In this important book, Michael Kelly delves deep into the teachings of one of his magical heroes, the Mephistophelean genius Anton Szandor LaVey, who founded the Church of Satan at Walpurgisnacht 1966.Kelly claims no direct personal acquaintance with LaVey, nor does he base his discussion upon 'previously unpublished secrets'. Everything he discusses is based upon material that is right there in the public domain, either in Dr LaVey's own writings or in the writings of those who knew him.And yet, it is astonishing how many professed occultists and magicians either ignore LaVey's ideas completely or simply fail to understand them. But Anton LaVey was one of the clearest magical thinkers of the Twentieth Century and also one of the most visionary. Indeed many of his visions are taking shape around us and manifesting right now. His teachings are right there, in plain sight, but either wilfully ignored, deliberately belittled or completely misunderstood. These profound principles and practices have been used by Kelly to tremendous effect in his own life. He discovered them by the age old threefold method of looking, then thinking and then doing. Don't be one of the herd of armchair occultists who are good at the first method, iffy at the second and have no relationship with the third.Chapters include: The Law of the ForbiddenLesser MagicErotic Crystallisation InertiaStratificationAndroids and Total EnvironmentsThe Invisible WarThe Law of the TrapezoidMagical Music and Forgotten FilmThe Curse of the CultComplete with an annotated reading list, this book is a superb introduction to those who desire to use the powerful Keys of LaVeyan magic and what it really means to be a Satanist.
