No saldrÃa bien.
During the trial of Juan Orlando Hernandez, the former president of Honduras, he testified about meeting with US Presidents Trump, Obama and Biden, making claims about the War on Drugs. But he'd been extradited from Honduras on narco trafficking charges. This is the blow by blow story of the trial, with analysis and even verse, Narco Presidentes Blues... Juan Orlando Hernandez and his lead lawyer Raymond Colon were having a disagreement, before Colon would cross examine confessed narco trafficker and murder Devis Rivera Maradiaga. "You're giving it too much importance," Colon told JOH. The former Honduran president disagreed and raised his voice. Kurt Wheelock heard it, but did not report it at the time - until now. And afterward, out on Worth Street in front of the SDNY Courthouse, the questions were about what the Americans Presidents - Trump, Obama and Biden - had known and when they knew it. Two of those three were running against each other again. To anti-corruption, in the UN, Honduras - and US - the work turned.
The night before the second Carroll - Trump trial it was colder in Iowa than in New York. Still, the first snow in 700 days drifted down on Worth Street in front of the courthouse, where the NYPD barricades had already been set up. The circus was about to begin. And Kurt Wheelock began to get ready. Well before the 9:30 am kickoff Trump was at the defense table, whispering with Alina Habba all dressed in white. There was a third lawyer, not in the docket, and Judge Kaplan would soon shut him down. But for now it was a stand-off: E. Jean Carroll with Robbie Kaplan at the front table, E. Jean staring straight ahead, and Trump in his red tie two table behind, looking at the prospective jurors when they came in. The voir dire was proceeding routinely until Judge Kaplan asked, Does anyone here think the 2020 election was stolen? Yes, said one... At the end, did Ms. Carroll prove, by a preponderance of the evidence, that 1. Ms. Carroll suffered more than nominal damages as a result of Mr. Trump's publication of the June 21 and June 22, 2019 statements? Answer Yes.Andy (clerk): 7.3 million... 11 million... punitives: $65 millionJudge Kaplan: Any other business?Ms. Habba: I would just like to thank the court staff JudgeKaplan: You're welcome on their behalf. Adjourned Kurt Wheelock, still banned from the UN, was asked to comment on that day's International Court of Justice decision Kurt mused about how the two proceedings were similar... Kurt would go from the trial to the trail.
Kevin Spacey faced a civil trial for sexual misconduct held in October 2022, about an evening in 1986. During the trial his lawyers attacked plaintiff Anthony Rapp, who was 14-years-old when he says Spacey lifted him up like a bride and then grinded against him, as an envious narcissist. Journalist and lawyer Matthew Russell Lee covered the trial in depth, live tweeting the testimony and arguments and putting questions to Spacey outside the SDNY courthouse afterward, including about his flights on Jeffrey Epstein's plane along with Bill Clinton and Chris Tucker https: //twitter.com/innercitypress/status/1582112177514635264 Lee covered those Epstein "Lolita Express" flights in his book about the Ghislaine Maxwell trial, "Maximum Maxwell," which features as this one does Kurt Wheelock, an ongoing presence noted in, for example, New York Magazine: https: //nymag.com/intelligencer/2021/12/ghislaine-maxwell-will-spend-her-60th-birthday-in-jail.html Spacey said that his father was a neo-Nazi and white supremacist, something his brother Randy Fowler confirms. But Randy Fowler says their father's sexual abuse was directed at him, and that while he protected Kevin from it his American Beauty movie star brother cut him off. It emerged that Spacey may have stolen some of his brother's story, just as he accused Rapp of stealing the story of John Barrowman. Alongside a not-liable verdict, it's a case of American Ugly.
