    Beyond Plant Blindness geht auf das gleichnamige pädagogische, künstlerische und botanische Projekt zurück, das zwischen 2015 und 2018 von einem Kernteam von Forschern - den Künstlern Bryndís Snæbjörnsdóttir & Mark Wilson und den Botanikerinnen und Wissenschaftlerinnen Dawn Sanders und Bente Eriksen - durchgeführt wurde. Das Team erforschte den kulturellen Zustand der "Pflanzenblindheit" und erörtert, wie künstlerische, wissenschaftliche, philosophische und pädagogische Erzählungen verschmelzen, um Pflanzen auf neue und bewegende Weise zu verstehen.Die Arbeit von Snæbjörnsdóttir/Wilson nahm während der Projektlaufzeit mehrere Formen an und wurde 2017 als drei Interventionen/Installationen in Botaniska, dem Botanischen Garten in Göteborg, Schweden, öffentlich vorgestellt.
