Historians Manuel Poggio and Antonio Lorenzo take us on an engaging journey into the heart of La Palma through a carefully curated selection of the most outstanding historical photographs of the island. The images span the one hundred year period between 1850 and 1960 and reveal how La Palma has evolved over the years, not only in terms of its economic and landscape changes, but also its ideological values and even its fashions.
