To the Reader: And He calleth His own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when He putteth forth His own sheep, He goeth before them, and the sheep follow Him: for they know His voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers . . . I am the Door: by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture (John 10: 35, 9). As you read these words of Jesus, his commandment to you, listen as he speaks to you. He is the Door of the sheep. We are either in his fold or we are not. If you are not one of his sheep, do not be deceived by the enemy of our souls! Enter in by the Door, the Good Shepherd, and become secure as one of his own sheep! Then rejoice in him! If you are already counted as one of his sheep, then you, too, rejoice! Then feed on his Word, some of which are in this book. Gods very own words to each of us! Alleluia! And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger Luke 2:7Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith: who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.Hebrews 12:2When we see the wooden manger, we see the birth of the Savior of the world. It was the beginning of the way of salvationanother display of Gods great love for mankind. Then when we see the wooden cross, we see the death of the Savior of the world. His death on that cross was to pay the sin debt of mankind, which was accomplished through the shedding of His blood. In the years in between, He went about revealing His God and our God. He taught the truths of His Father and our Father. This collection of writings comes from some of those truths He has taught me. My prayer is that as you read these He will reveal Himself to you in a fresh new way. May He be glorified in all these words!Alleluia!
Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son: in whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins.Colossians 1:1214Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.Psalm 51:7The purpose of this collection of writings is to show each of us our need for a Savior. And that Savior is Jesus Christ. He alone is the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father but by Him. Through these words God shows us the blackness of our sins. Then He shows us the forgiveness and cleansing of our sins through the shed blood of His Son, Jesus Christ. When we come to Christ, confessing our sins and asking for forgiveness, He covers us with His blood. The result of this is that we are made white as snow! My prayer for those who are already His is that we all continue seeking cleansing when we fall back into sin. He loves us too much to let us walk in darkness. As we do this we will walk in the light, and that light is white! My prayer for those who read these words and have not come to Jesus for forgiveness and cleansing through His shed blood is that you would hear God calling you to His way of salvation, only through the shed blood of His Son. Hear His heart as He yearns to save you from your sins. Today is the day of salvation! Heed His call. Give Him your heart. If you do, you will no longer walk in darkness. You will walk in the Light. You will walk in freedom, for whom the Son sets free is free indeed! As a result, your journey with Jesus will have begun. Your life will never be the same again! O, taste and see that the Lord is good!Psalm 34:8
And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in my infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christs sake: for when I am weak, then I am strong.2 Corinthians 12:910It is through many years of personal experiences, struggles, and sufferings that God has brought forth this collection of writings. These are His words, not mine. Our sufferings are never wasted. Our weaknesses do become our strengths through His help. My prayer is that His words will encourage you, that He will reveal to you the times of weakness that made you strong, that you will see His presence with you as He carries you from your weaknesses to strength. May you experience His faithfulness to His words in 2 Corinthians 12:910.
