Issue 7: Feast is a follow-up to Issue 6, wherein we wanted to explore the things we consume. What do we feast on? Is it food or emotions? Do our eyes feast on moments out in nature? Where does the thought of eating take us, and how far do we go in pursuit of it? All the work we received for this issue met our expectations and then some. We hope you enjoy reading through the anthology.

Issue 6: Hunger is an exploration of the cravings that keep us up at night, the things we long for and the things we can't help but want. Hunger expands beyond our favorite foods into a realm of emotions and looks both inward and outward to find our deepest desires.

Issue 3: Masks comes at a time when we're knee-deep in the pandemic but was inspired more by the masks we wear to dress up every day of our lives. Costumes aren't just a part of Halloween, and masks aren't just for keeping us safe. We received tons of fantastic poems from this issue, ranging from an occasional mask-inspired piece to those that talk about the parts of themselves they hide away from the world.

Here at Last Leaves we believe that poetry is rooted in community. We know that sharing your work can be difficult, so we aim to provide a space where you can be proud of your words and revel in the words of others. Our inaugural issue reflects that, showcasing a wide variety of poems and art we received from talented individuals around the world.

Issue 2: Raw had a powerful theme that resulted in hours of emotional readings, discussions, and appreciation of vulnerability. Some of the content in this issue is heart-breaking, so pace yourself as you read. We were honored to include these pieces in this collection, and thank the writers endlessly for sharing their lives with us.
