Katy tells Mrs. Bumbleberry she has nothing to do on spring break. Andie's friend, Sophie, is visiting and Katy thinks they are too busy to play with her. Mrs. B suggests Katy could play with Andi and Sophie. Mrs. B makes brownies to take over to Andi's house as a gift. Katy goes along to deliver the brownies. She meets Sophie, and Mrs. B offers to take the girls to Oakwood Park the next day. At the park the girls visit the butterfly house, feed the swans and ride the carousel. Katy realizes she likes Sophie and they become friends. Through the process Katy learns you can't judge people you never meet, and doing things together is more fun. This is the ninth book in the Mrs. Bumbleberry series.
Christmas is quickly approaching and Mrs. Bumbleberry has two surprises for Katy. She tells Katy that Miss Eunice is coming to visit for the holidays, and the children are going to perform at the Childrens Christmas Pageant on Christmas Eve. Katys excitement mounts as Christmas gets closer. Finally Miss Eunice arrives just in time to pay a visit to Appleton Farms Christmas display, and see the children perform their special Christmas song.
Willie Lumpteron goes to the airplane factory to see Uncle Rupert. He gets too close to the secret formula and falls in the tank. Later Willie wakes up sitting by a pond next to Dunklin, a big box turtle. The turtle hasnt grown, Willie has shrunk. He also meets an energetic chipmunk named Figbee. Dunklin and Figbee help Willie find out why he is so small and why no one seems to be able to see Willie but the animals. Willie learns that things are a lot different in his new world.
Field trips are fun, especially when a wagon ride is included. But to ride the wagon Katy and Andi need an adult so Mrs. Bumbleberry goes along. On the field trip the children pick apples and run through the corn maze. They also learn the value of working together and and how to treat others.
This is the third book in the Mrs. Bumbleberry series. It continues the story of Katy and her neighbor Mrs. Bumbleberry. In this story Katy is excited to find a surprise package waiting for her on the porch. She goes to help Mrs.Bumbleberry in the garden and meets friendly Mr. Hank. While getting a bag in the shed Katy sees a shadow cross over the window. Someone is in Mrs. Bumbleberrys garden who isnt supposed to be there. Who is this person and what is she doing? It is another neighbor taking Mrs. Bumbleberrys prize red roses. Along the way Katy learns the importance of telling the truth, and the value in giving instead of receiving.
Katy and Andi spend the night with Mrs. Bumbleberry. They are almost asleep when they hear a noise. Katy looks around but theres nothing to see. Then they hear the noise again. What is the noise and what should they do? Trina comes to protect the girls and they find out the noise is Trina snoring. The next morning Mrs. B tells them they dont need to be afraid, God is always watching them. They spend the day helping Mrs. B and have a special party. By the time Mom returns the girls have had a wonderful time and learned not all noises are really scary.
Katy enjoyed getting to know Mrs. Bumbleberry in Mrs. Bumbleberrys Garden. But now its time to make some new friends.She gets that chance at church summer camp, but shes worried about going.Oh Katy, dont worry, Mrs. Bumbleberry tells her. Its normal to be nervous when you meet new people. Just remember to treat others the way you want to be treated. If youre nice to them, most people will be nice to you. She learns the hard way that not all children follow that same philosophy, though. Some of them are bossy and downright mean.Luckily, there are plenty of other nice children, including Andrea, who she finds out lives down the street from her. Katy and Andi become fast friendsand they learn how God told Noah to build the ark. God even sent a rainbow as a message to Noah, and now rainbows remind us that God is watching over us just like he did for Noah.Join Katy and her friends as they sing songs, make a cardboard ark, color the rainbow, and learn valuable lessons about how to treat others.
